Helicobacter pylori is the microbial agent most responsible for gastro-duodenal ulcer and chronic gastritis, which can develop into carcinoma of the stomach. This study was performed in Wad Medani Teaching Hospital, Sudan to detect Helicobacter pylori in stomach samples, and evaluate the performance of the tests used, which were histological stains and PCR. Gastric biopsies were obtained from 105 referred patients during endoscopy, and fixed specimens examined by haematoxylin-eosin and Warthin-Starry silver stains, while DNA was extracted for glmM gene amplification. Epigastric pain was the most common symptom at 78% (82/105) and chronic gastritis recorded with 71% (68/105) of endoscopy results. Warthin-Starry silver stain gave 31% (33/105) as positive for Helicobacter pylori followed by glmM gene 27% (28/105) and haematoxylin-eosin 24% (25/105). The study indicated good performance of histological staining and high specificity of glmM gene in detection of Helicobacter pylori from gastric biopsies.

Objective:To determine the prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections and soil-transmitted helminths(STHs) among primary schoolchildren in El dhayga,Central ***:In this cross-sectional study,three fresh faecal samples were collected from each child,which were examined by direct wet mount,brine flotation,formalin-ether and Kato-Katz *** intensity of each STH infection was expressed as the mean of eggs per gram counts of the three ***:In total,142(90.4%) of 157 children harboured at least one type of intestinal *** lumbricoides,Hymenolepis nana,Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia were the most common parasites found,with prevalence rates of 32.5%,30.6%,33.1%and 19.7%,*** of these 157 children,29(18.5%) harboured more than two intestinal parasitic *** cases of Schistosoma mansoni or Enterobius vermicularis were identified. Conclusions:The study demonstrates significant burden of intestinal protozoa and STH infections in this part of Sudan and highlights the need for preventive and intervention measures.

The 0.8 Me V copper （ Cu） ion beam irradiation-induced effects on structural, morphological and optical properties of tin dioxide nanowires （Sn02 NWs） are investigated. The samples are irradiated at three different doses 5 × 10^12 ions/cm2, 1 ×10^13 ions/cm2 and 5 × 10^13 ions/em2 at room temperature. The XRD analysis shows that the tetragonal phase of Sn02 NWs remains stable after Cu ion irradiation, but with increasing irradiation dose level the crystal size increases due to ion beam induced coalescence of NWs. The FTIR spectra of pristine Sn02 NWs exhibit the chemical composition of SnO2 while the Cn-O bond is also observed in the FTIR spectra after Cu ion beam irradiation. The presence of Cu impurity in SnO2 is further confirmed by calculating the stopping range of Cu ions by using TRM/SRIM code. Optical properties of SnO2 NWs are studied before and after Cu ion irradiation. Band gap analysis reveMs that the band gap of irradiated samples is found to decrease compared with the pristine sample. Therefore, ion beam irradiation is a promising technology for nanoengineering and band gap tailoring.

This paper aims to establish a relative study between a relational Microsoft SQL Server database and a non-relational MongoDB database within the unstructured representation of data in JSON format. There is a great amount of work done regarding comparison of multiple database management applications on the basis of their performances, security etc., but we have limited information available where these databases are assessed on the basis of provided data. This study will mainly focus on looking at all the possibilities that both these database types offer us when handling data in JSON. We will accomplish this by implementing a series of experiments while taking into consideration that the subjected data does not require to be normalized;and therefore, evaluate the outcome to conclude the result.

小壳化石是寒武系纽芬兰统年代地层划分和全球对比的主要生物地层学依据。长期以来,喜马拉雅西侧的巴基斯坦北部寒武纪早期小壳化石的发现较为零星,导致该地区埃迪卡拉纪与寒武纪过渡期地层序列的划分缺乏统一认识,相关地层时代归属十分不清晰。在第二次青藏科考任务的支持下,作者对巴基斯坦北部隶属于小喜马拉雅区的Hazara盆地东部前寒武纪与寒武纪过渡期地层Hazara组、Kakul组、Abbottabad组和Hazira组开展详细研究,首次在Kalu-di-Bandi剖面Abbottabad组Sirban段顶部硅磷质白云岩中发现了寒武纪纽芬兰世幸运期小壳化石组合。该小壳化石组合属种相对丰富,含有Anabarites trisulcatus、Protohertzina anabarica、Conotheca subcurvata、Hexangulaconularia formosa、Olivooides multisulcatus、Maikhanella pristinis、Lopochites latazonalis、Siphogonuchites sp.及Spirellus columnaris等分子。上述属种组合面貌常见于华南、印度北部、克什米尔、伊朗、蒙古国及西伯利亚的寒武纪纽芬兰世幸运期地层中,其中***和***是这一化石组合带中的标准分子。因此,本文以***和***的共同出现为标志,将Sirban段顶部的小壳化石组合命名为Anabarites trisulcatusProtohertzina anabarica组合带,时代上归属为寒武纪纽芬兰世幸运期。该化石组合的发现表明,该地区存在寒武纪幸运期地层记录,寒武系底界应位于Abbottabad组Sirban段内某个层位(不过确切的界线位置仍需将来进一步的生物地层学和化学地层学工作进行校对),同时也修正了前人将该地区寒武系底界置于Hazira组与Abbottabad组界线处或Abbottabad组与Kakul组界线处的观点。对比研究发现,Sirban段中的化石组合分子与华南***组合带面貌非常相似,且共有一些特征属种,支持寒武纪纽芬兰世印度次大陆北部的喜马拉雅区与华南之间的生物群存在较强联系、古地理位置很可能较为靠近的观点。

Observation of unconventional anomalous Hall effect in epitaxial CrTe thin films

We have studied the magnetic and electrical transport properties of epitaxial NiAs-type CrTe thin films grown on SrTiO3（111） substrates. Unlike rectangle hysteresis loops obtained from magnetic measurements, we have identified intriguing extra bump/dip features from anomalous Hall experiments on the films with thicknesses less than 12 nm. This observed Hall anomaly is phenomenologically consistent with the occurrence of a topological Hall effect （THE） in chiral magnets with a skyrmion phase. Furthermore, the THE contribution can be tuned by the film thickness, showing the key contribution of asymmetric interfaces in stabilizing N6el-type skyrmions. Our work demonstrates that a CrTe thin film on SrTiO3（111） substrates is a good material candidate for studying real-space topological transport.

以10个不同基因型黄瓜为试材进行游离小孢子培养,通过对成胚条件的系统研究,从‘7447’和‘Poinsett97’中获得了子叶形胚和再生植株。研究结果表明:基因型和小孢子发育时期是限制黄瓜游离小孢子成胚的关键因子。不同品种间胚状体产量差异显著,每皿产胚1.5～33.4个。单核靠边期是进行黄瓜游离小孢子培养的最佳时期。低温预处理有利于胚状体的诱导,4℃预处理2～4d为宜,以处理2d的胚状体产量最高。外源激素在诱导胚状体时并非必需,但低浓度外源激素(0.5mg.L-12,4-D、0.2mg.L-16-BA)能促进小孢子成胚。NLN和B5两种基础培养基在诱导胚状体上无显著差异。子叶形胚易分化成苗,而其它类型的胚状体未能获得再生植株。
