It is set a.d a.a.yzed a.simula.ion model ba.ed on non-linea. ordina.y differentia. equa.ions to interpret the dyna.ics of the microcepha.y incidence ca.sed by the Zika.virus in a.risk group of pregna.t women. This one is induced by a.popula.ion of men in a.reproductive a.e. a.so, some pa.a.eters of the model were estima.ed for a. a.era.e tempera.ure of 23℃ a.d by using the a.justed functions from references [1] [2]. a.l system simula.ions were done with the Ma.le softwa.e a.d pa.a.eters va.ues obta.ned from severa. sources (estima.ed, hypothetic, a.d form litera.ure). It ha. been found tha. the a.plica.ion of contra.eptive mea.ures impa.ts the popula.ion of sexua.ly a.tive women. a. result, the exposure to congenita. a.norma.ities increa.es, pa.ticula.ly, microcepha.y.

Recipients were divided into two groups a.cording to liver donor a.e: recipients of donors ≤ 65 yea.s (group a. n = 102), a.d recipients of donors ≥ 80 yea.s (group B; n = 51). a.compa.a.ive a.a.ysis between the groups wa. performed. Qua.tita.ive va.ia.les were expressed a. mea. va.ues a.d SD, a.d qua.ita.ive va.ia.les a. percenta.es. Differences in properties between qua.ita.ive va.ia.les were a.sessed by χ2 test. Compa.ison of qua.tita.ive va.ia.les wa. ma.e by t-test. Gra.t a.d pa.ient surviva.s were estima.ed using the Ka.la.-Meier ***, 3 a.d 5-yea. overa.l pa.ient surviva. wa. 87.3%, 84% a.d 75.2%, respectively, in recipients of younger gra.ts vs 88.2%, 84.1% a.d 66.4%, respectively, in recipients of octogena.ia. gra.ts (P = 0.748). One, 3 a.d 5-yea. overa.l gra.t surviva. wa. 84.3%, 83.1% a.d 74.2%, respectively, in recipients of younger gra.ts vs 84.3%, 79.4% a.d 64.2%, respectively, in recipients of octogena.ia. gra.ts (P = 0.524). a.ter excluding the pa.ients with hepa.itis C virus cirrhosis (16 in group a.a.d 10 in group B), the 1, 3 a.d 5-yea. pa.ient (P = 0.657) a.d gra.t (P = 0.419) surviva.s were pra.tica.ly the sa.e in both groups. The sca.city of idea. liver gra.ts for orthotopic liver tra.spla.ta.ion (OLT) ha. led tra.spla.t tea.s to investiga.e other sources of gra.ts in order to a.gment the donor liver pool. One wa. to get more liver gra.ts is to use ma.gina. donors, a.not well-defined group which includes ma.nly donors > 60 yea.s, donors with hyperna.remia.or ma.rostea.osis > 30%, donors with hepa.itis C virus or hepa.itis B virus positive serologies, cold ischemia.time > 12 h, non-hea.t-bea.ing donors, a.d gra.ts from split-livers or living-rela.ed dona.ions. Perha.s the most pra.tica. a.d frequent mea.ure to increa.e the liver pool, a.d thus to reduce wa.ting list morta.ity, is to use older livers. In the pa.t yea.s the results of OLT with old livers ha.e improved, ma.nly due to better selection a.d ma.ntena.ce of donors, improvements in surgica. techniques in donors a.d recipients, a.d intra. a.d post-OLT ma.a.ement. a. the present time, sexa.ena.ia. livers a.e genera.ly a.cepted, but there still exists some controversy rega.ding the use of septua.ena.ia. a.d octogena.ia. liver gra.ts. The a.m of this pa.er is to briefly review the a.ing process of the liver a.d reported experiences using old livers for OLT. Funda.enta.ly, the series of septua.ena.ia. a.d octogena.ia. livers will be a.dressed to see if there is a.limit to using these a.ed gra.ts.

Orthotopic liver tra.spla.ta.ion(OLT) is a. esta.lished life-sa.ing procedure for a.coholic cirrhotic(a.) pa.ients, but the incidence of de novo tumors ra.ges between 2.6% a.d 15.7% a.d is significa.tly increa.ed in compa.ison with pa.ients who undergo OLT for other etiologies. Toba.co, a.known ca.cinogen, ha. been reported to be between 52% a.d 83.3% in a. pa.ients before OLT. Other risk fa.tors tha. contribute to the development of ma.igna.cies a.e dose-dependent immunosuppression, a.va.ced a.e, vira. infections, sun exposure, a.d prema.igna.t lesions(infla.ma.ory bowel disea.e, Ba.rett's esopha.us). a.significa.tly more frequent incidence of upper a.rodigestive(Ua.) tra.t, lung, skin, a.d kidney-bla.der tumors ha. been found in OLT recipients for a. in compa.ison with other etiologies. Liver tra.spla.t recipients who develop de novo non-skin tumors ha.e a.decrea.ed long-term surviva. ra.e compa.ed with controls. a.M To increa.e the number of a.a.la.le *** This is a.single-center compa.a.ive a.a.ysis performed between a.ril 1986 a.d Ma. 2016. Two hundred a.d twelve liver tra.spla.ta.ion(LT) were performed with donors ≥ 70 yea.s old(study group). Then, we selected the first ca.es tha. were performed with donors a.s old immedia.ely a.ter the ones tha. were performed with donors ≥ 70 yea.s old(control group).RESULTS Gra.t a.d pa.ient surviva.s were simila. between both groups without increa.ing the risk of complica.ions, especia.ly prima.y non-function, va.cula. complica.ions a.d bilia.y complica.ions. We identified 5 risk fa.tors a. independent predictors of gra.t surviva.: recipient hepa.itis C virus(HCV)-positivity [ha.a.d ra.io(HR) = 2.35; 95% confidence interva.(CI): 1.55-3.56; P = 0.00]; recipient a.e(HR = 1.04; 95%CI: 1.02-1.06; P = 0.00); donor a.e X model for end-sta.e liver disea.e(D-MELD)(HR = 1.00; 95%CI: 1.00-1.00; P = 0.00); donor va.ue of serum gluta.ic-pyruvic tra.sa.ina.e(HR = 1.00; 95%CI: 1.00-1.00; P = 0.00); a.d donor va.ue of serum sodium(HR = 0.96; 95%CI: 0.94-0.99; P = 0.00). a.ter combining D-MELD a.d recipient a.e we obta.ned a.new scoring system tha. we ca.led DR-MELD(donor a.e X recipient a.e X MELD). Gra.t surviva. significa.tly decrea.ed in pa.ients with a.DR-MELD score ≥ 75000, especia.ly in HCV pa.ients(77% vs 63% a. 5 yea.s in HCV-nega.ive pa.ients, P = 0.00; a.d 61% vs 25% a. 5 yea.s in HCV-positive pa.ients; P = 0.00). CONCLUSION a.DR-MELD ≥ 75000 must be a.oided in order to obta.n the best results in LT with donors ≥ 70 yea.s old.

Nowa.a.s the Zika.virus (ZIKV) ha. been one of the most studied vector-borne disea.es due to the considera.le outbrea.s tha. ha.e genera.ed a.ound the world a. well a. due to the new tra.smission mecha.isms a.d hea.th complica.ions origina.ed. a.cording to sta.istics of the INS-Colombia.for July 2016, 68% of the popula.ion infected by ZIKV (confirmed ca.es) a.e pregna.t women. Furthermore, the Quindío depa.tment belongs to the sta.es with more tha. 50% of the tota. infected persons being pregna.t women. Ta.ing into a.count those cha.a.teristics, a.theoretica. model is proposed a.d a.a.yzed to describe the popula.ion dyna.ics considering the sexua. a.d vectoria. tra.smission of ZIKV, with specia. empha.is in the consequences of the non-vectoria. tra.smission in the popula.ion. The obta.ned results with simula.ions through the beta.pa.a.eter indica.e tha. the proba.ility of sexua. tra.smission between susceptible women a.d infected men points out the importa.ce of ca.pa.gns to inculca.e prevention mea.ures for the sa.e sexua. rela.ionships between ZIKV infected popula.ion.
