This introductory essay discusses the Eurocentrism of Comparative Literature and argues that as an effect of the structures of the modern humanities,thestudy of non-European literatures has been mostly consigned to area studies and not literary studies departments at universities Therefore,despite the efforts to overcome this condition of the field,including the rise of World Literature since the turn of the 21st century,scholarship has reproduced the status quo to the extent that World Literature also remainsa largely *** argue that revisionist efforts have so far operated within the European theoretical space and referred toa limited number of *** essays collected in the present issue address this problem and propose diverse solutions for overcoming the Eurocentrism of the discipline.

In this research, the effect of precipitation hardening on the tribological behavior of the ZK60Gd/SiC composite was studied. For this purpose, ZK60Gd alloy containing with 5 and 10 wt% SiC were produced with stir casting method. The microstructure characterization of the samples showed the wide distributions of Mg_(7)Zn_(3) and Gd(Mg_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)) precipitates were formed during casting. The results of hardness measurement after precipitation hardening at different temperatures showed that the hardness peck was obtained at 175 ℃. The wear tests with different loads(10, 40, 60, 90, and 120 N) and velocities(0.1, 0.3, 0.6, and 0.9 m/s) were performed on the as-cast and heat treated sample at 125, 175, and 225 for 12 h. Between the different precipitation hardening conditions, the precipitation hardened samples at 175 ℃ had the highest hardness values and least wear rate. The sample containing 10% reinforcement had the least wear rate between the unreinforced alloy and the composites. The results showed that abrasive, adhesive, delamination, MML, and fatigue wear mechanisms were the dominant wear mechanisms for the composite samples. In contrast, the dominant wear mechanism for the unreinforced samples was abrasive, adhesive,delamination, MML, and plastic deformation.

AIM:To compare frontalis sling and tarsoconjunctival mullerectomy plus levator resection(TCMLR)in subjects with severe unilateral congenital ptosis with poor levator function(LF).METHODS:A prospective non-randomized nonblinded single center clinical *** patients with severe unilateral congenital ptosis with poor LF were *** frontalis sling and TCMLR were performed and the functional,cosmetic outcomes,complications,and success rate were evaluated at 1,3,and 6mo *** t-test,Chi-square,Fishers exact,and nonparametric MannWhitney tests were used by SPSS ***:Frontalis sling and TCMLR procedures were performed on 26 and 24 patients *** mean age was 10.97±*** was significantly better in the TCMLR group at months 1,3,and 6(P=0.002).Lagophthalmos was more common in the TCMLR group(no significant difference).At month 3,mild punctate epithelial erosions were observed more in the frontalis sling group(P=0.002).Significant complete success rate of 1st and 6th month for the frontalis sling vs TCMLR groups were 50%vs 20.8%(P=0.02),and 38.4%vs 50%(P=0.03)***:Complete success rate of TCMLR is higher in long-term follow-up in contrast with the frontalis sling in the *** complications are more detected in mid-term follow-ups in both groups.

The uniformity of appearance attributes of bell peppers is significant for consumers and food *** automate the sorting process of bell peppers and improve the packaging quality of this crop by detecting and separating the not likable low-color bell peppers,developing an appropriate sorting system would be of high importance and *** to standards and export needs,the bell pepper should be graded based on maturity levels and size to five *** research has been aimed to develop a machine vision-based system equipped with an intelligent modelling approach for in-line sorting bell peppers into desirable and undesirable samples,with the ability to predict the maturity level and the size of the desirable bell *** perceptron(MLP)artificial neural networks(ANNs)as the nonlinear modelswere designed for that *** modelswere trained and evaluated through five-fold cross-validation *** optimum MLP classifier was compared with a linear discriminant analysis(LDA)*** results showed that the MLP outperforms the LDA *** processing time to classify each captured image was estimated as 0.2 s/sample,which is fast enough for in-line ***,the optimum MLP model was integrated with a machine vision-based sorting machine,and the developed system was evaluated in the in-line *** performance parameters,including accuracy,precision,sensitivity,and specificity,were 93.2%,86.4%,84%,and 95.7%,*** total sorting rate of the bell pepper was also measured as approximately 3000 samples/h.

Real-time detection of Covid-19 has definitely been the most widely-used world-wide classification problem since the start of the pandemic from 2020 until *** the meantime,airspace opacities spreads related to lung have been of the most challenging problems in this area.A common approach to do on that score has been using chest X-ray images to better diagnose positive Covid-19 *** to most other classification problems,machine learning-based approaches have been the first/most-used candidates in this *** schemes based on machine/deep learning have been proposed in recent years though increasing the performance and accuracy of the system has still remained an open *** this paper,we develop a novel deep learning architecture to better classify the Covid-19 X-ray *** do so,we first propose a novel multi-habitat migration artificial bee colony(MHMABC)algorithm to improve the exploitation/exploration of artificial bee colony(ABC)*** that,we optimally train the fully connected by using the proposed MHMABC algorithm to obtain better accuracy and convergence rate while reducing the execution *** experiment results on Covid-19 X-ray image dataset show that the proposed deep architecture has a great performance in different important optimization ***,it will be shown that the MHMABC algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms by evaluating its performance using some wellknown benchmark datasets.

Accurate detection of mechanical components faults is an essential step for reduction of repair cost,human injury probability and loss of *** intelligent fault diagno-sis systems in tractor could prevent secondary damage,thereby avoiding heavy *** this study,fault diagnosis of tractor auxiliary gearbox is *** signals of healthy and faulty pinions gear under three different operational conditions(Rotational speeds of 600 RPM,1350 RPM and 2000 RPM)were collected,and discrete wave-let transform(DWT)was used as signal *** statistical features were calcu-lated from collected ***-based feature selection(CFS)method was used to find the best *** forest(RF)and multilayer perceptron(MLP)neural net-works were employed to classify the *** overall accuracy of RF classifier without using feature selection were 86.25%,at 600 *** corresponding values of RF trained with the optimal 6 features by using CFS was 92.5%.The best results obtained at 1350 RPM,since the detection accuracy was 95%.The results of this study demonstrated the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method for fault diagnosis of tractor auxiliary gearbox.

Dielectric spectroscopy coupled with artificial neural network for classification and quantification of sesame oil adulteration

Adulteration using cheap vegetable oils into expensive oils such as sesame oil is a considerable challenge in the edible oil market. To discriminate pure and adulterated sesame oilwith sunflower and canola oils (commonly used as an adulterant to the high-price oils),dielectric spectroscopy was applied in the range of 40 kHz–20 MHz. The principal component analysis (PCA) plots were able to distinguish the pure sesame oil, while it was impossible to separate the adulterated oils based on the kind of adulteration. The correlationbased feature selection (CFS) method was used to select the more relevant dielectric datawithin the spectrum and to reduce the dimensionality of the input vector belongs to theartificial neural network (ANN). The ANN classifier with topology of 19-5-4 structureshowed a perfect accuracy of 100% in detecting the authentic and the adulterated sesameoil. The regression ANN with the topology of 15-5-1, 21-8-1 and 10-11-1 were the mostrobust models in quantifying the amount of adulteration in sesame oil generated by sun-flower oil, canola oil and sunflower + canola oils, with R2Test of 1, 1 and 0.999 9, *** proposed technique is a powerful and simple method to detect and quantify adulteration of sesame oil. The novelty of this research is capability of used system for authentication of adulterated sesame oil using low frequency. Furthermore, the developed systemhas a good capability for other types of sesame oil adulterations as well as to detect adulteration in other expensive edible oils.

Most forest fires in the Margalla Hills are related to human activities and socioeconomic factors are essential to assess their likelihood of *** study considers both environmental(altitude,precipitation,forest type,terrain and humidity index)and socioeconomic(population density,distance from roads and urban areas)factors to analyze how human behavior affects the risk of forest *** entropy(Maxent)modelling and random forest(RF)machine learning methods were used to predict the probability and spatial diffusion patterns of forest fires in the Margalla *** receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and the area under the ROC curve(AUC)were used to compare the *** studied the fire history from 1990 to 2019 to establish the relationship between the probability of forest fire and environmental and socioeconomic *** Maxent,the AUC fire probability values for the 1999 s,2009 s,and 2019 s were 0.532,0.569,and 0.518,respectively;using RF,they were 0.782,0.825,and 0.789,*** were mainly distributed in urban areas and their probability of occurrence was related to accessibility and human behaviour/*** principles for validation were greater in the random forest models than in the Maxent *** results can be used to establish preventive measures to reduce risks of forest fires by considering socio-economic and environmental conditions.
