Background: Acute Kidney injury (AKi) stands as a prominent postoperative complication in on-pump cardiac surgery, with repercussions on morbidity, mortality, and hospitalization duration. Current diagnostic criteria relying on serum creatinine levels exhibit a delayed identification of AKi, prompting an exploration of alternative biomarkers. Aims and Objectives: This study is designed to overcome diagnostic constraints and explore the viability of serum Cystatin C as an early predictor of Acute Kidney injury (AKi) in individuals undergoing on-pump cardiac surgery. The investigation aims to establish the relationship between serum Cystatin C levels and the onset of AKi in patients subjected to on-pump cardiac surgery. Primary objectives involve the assessment of the diagnostic effectiveness of serum Cystatin C, its comparison with serum creatinine, and the exploration of its potential for the early identification and treatment of AKi. Methodology: Conducted as a single-center study at the cardiac surgery department of BSMMU in Bangladesh from September 2020 to August 2022, a comparative cross-sectional analysis involved 31 participants categorized into No AKi and AKi groups based on Kidney Disease: improving Global Outcomes (KDiGO) criteria. Data collection encompassed preoperative, post-CBP (cardiopulmonary bypass) conclusion at 2 hours, postoperative day 1, and postoperative day 2 intervals. Statistical analyses included Chi-squared tests, independent Student’s t-tests, and one-sample t-tests. Significance was set at P Results: The study revealed no significant differences in baseline characteristics between the No AKi and AKi groups, except for CPB time and cross-clamp time. Serum Cystatin C levels in the AKi group exhibited statistical significance at various time points, highlighting its potential as an early detector. The satellite technology proves its impact in the modern era with itswide benefits and applications. However, the cost of the development in this fieldpresents gaps in many countries, almost the developed countries. Therefore, thispaper provides a rich platform around low-cost sensors in order to improve maturity in space technology, mostly the system of attitude determination and *** development of this knowledge turns out to be very interesting in order toachieve a space mission which leads to the progression of the spatial technologyreadiness level (TRL) defined by the international measurement scale which isable to estimate the technological maturity. Thus, the idea is carried out for thedevelopment of low-cost sensors’ system for attitude determination around anArduino board. A sensor fusion method was applied on three types of sensors:accelerometer, magnetometer, and gyroscope in order to detect the reliable orientation. it is aimed to apply quaternion based Kalman filter on different platformthan previous systems. it is succeeded therefore to improve measurementaccuracy around low-cost sensor to achieve the main goal of this paper.

The current study aimed to evaluate the first aid knowledge and general awareness of bleeding control, and their relations with different variables among the population of Jazan City, Saudi Arabia, in 2023. A cross-sectional study was conducted in Jazan City, Saudi Arabia between April 2023 and May 2023. Participants, >13 years old, living in Jazan City, were self-enrolled. Data collection was carried out by distributing a self-reported online survey questionnaire via email and social media apps. A validated, pretested online self-report questionnaire was used for data collection, with data analysis performed using (MS) Excel 2022 and SPSS version 26. A Chi-square test was used to determine the association of sociodemographic variables and Bleeding Control (BC) knowledge with, significance set at p icipants completed the questionnaire, predominantly aged between 16 - 25 years, with 152 (60.8%) being male, and about 90% being Saudi citizens. Only 53 (21.2%) participated in previous first aid training concentrating on bleeding control. Only 76 (30.4%) of participants had good knowledge, while 131 (52.4%) exhibited positive attitude towards BC first aid. There were no statistically significant associations between BC knowledge and age, gender, occupation, nationality, and education. However, a significant association was observed between previous BC training and knowledge (Chi-test = 40.373, d.f = 1, p = 0.000) at p ion: The prevalence of poor knowledge of bleeding control among community members in Jazan City was high. The findings of this study should be carefully considered by various healthcare organizations to implement educational first-aid programs and activities aimed at enhancing community awareness and knowledge of bleeding control.

上颌阻生第三磨牙多位于上颌结节区,此区域手术操作空间小、视野差。本文报道1例牙冠位于邻牙两牙根之间、与上颌窦关系密切的上颌水平超高位阻生第三磨牙的拔除。利用数字化模拟技术三维重建患者部分上颌骨、相关牙齿等毗邻解剖结构,精准制定最佳手术方案,采用牙根先脱位、牙冠后脱位法拔除阻生牙。该法既保护了邻牙牙根,也降低了上颌窦黏膜损伤以及穿孔的风险,提高了手术效率,减小了手术创伤,符合微创牙槽外科理念,为临床上拔除此类埋伏阻生牙提供了新思路和经验。

We devise hybrid high-order(HHO)methods for the acoustic wave equation in the time *** frst consider the second-order formulation in *** the Newmark scheme for the temporal discretization,we show that the resulting HHO-Newmark scheme is energy-conservative,and this scheme is also amenable to static condensation at each time *** then consider the formulation of the acoustic wave equation as a frst-order system together with singly-diagonally implicit and explicit Runge-Kutta(SDiRK and ERK)***-SDiRK schemes are amenable to static condensation at each time *** HHO-ERK schemes,the use of the mixed-order formulation,where the polynomial degree of the cell unknowns is one order higher than that of the face unknowns,is key to beneft from the explicit structure of the *** results on test cases with analytical solutions show that the methods can deliver optimal convergence rates for smooth solutions of order O(hk+1)in the H1-norm and of order O(h^(k+2))in the L^(2)-***,test cases on wave propagation in heterogeneous media indicate the benefts of using high-order methods.

BACKGROUND The impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)on acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)is debatable.T2DM was suspected to reduce the risk and complications of ***,during coronavirus disease 2019(COViD-19),T2DM predisposed patients to ARDS,especially those who were on insulin at *** evaluate the impact of outpatient insulin use in T2DM patients on non-COViD-19 ARDS *** We conducted a retrospective cohort analysis using the Nationwide inpatient Sample *** patients diagnosed with ARDS were stratified into insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus(DM)(iDDM)and non-insulindependent DM(NiDDM)*** applying exclusion criteria and matching over 20 variables,we compared cohorts for mortality,duration of mechanical ventilation,incidence of acute kidney injury(AKi),length of stay(LOS),hospitalization costs,and other clinical *** Following 1:1 propensity score matching,the analysis included 274 patients in each ***,no statistically significant differences emerged between the iDDM and NiDDM groups in terms of mortality rates(32.8%vs 31.0%,P=0.520),median hospital LOS(10 d,P=0.537),requirement for mechanical ventilation,incidence rates of sepsis,pneumonia or AKi,median total hospitalization costs,or patient disposition upon *** Compared to alternative anti-diabetic medications,outpatient insulin treatment does not appear to exert an independent influence on in-hospital morbidity or mortality in diabetic patients with non-COViD-19 ARDS.

Covid-19 is a global crisis and the greatest challenge we have *** affects people in different *** infected people develop a mild to moderate form of the disease and recover without *** presents a problem in spreading the pandemic with unintentionally ***,this paper provides a new technique for COViD-19 monitoring remotely and in wide *** system is based on satellite technology that provides a pivotal solution for wireless *** mission requires a data collection technique which can be based on drones’***,the main objective of our proposal is to develop a mission architecture around satellite technology in order to collect information in wide range,mostly,in areas suffer network coverage.A communication method was developed around a constellation of nanosatellites to cover Saudi Arabia region which is the area of interest in this *** new proposed architecture provided an efficient monitoring application discussing the gaps related to thermal imaging *** reached 15.8 min as mean duration of visibility for the desired *** total,the system can reach a coverage of 5.8 h/day,allowing to send about 21870 thermal images.
