in addition to their visible motion such as swimming(e.g.,with the help ofﬂagella),bacteria can also exhibit nanomotion that is detectable only with highly sensitive instruments,and this study shows that it is possible to detect bacterial nanomotion using an AFM detection *** results show that the nanomotion characteristics depend on the bacterial strain,and that nanomotion can be used to sen.e.the metabolic activity of bacteria because the oscillations are sensitive to the food preferen.e. of the bacteria and the type of surrounding medium.

For the dynamics of three-dimensional electron–positron–ion plasmas, a fluid quantum hydrodynamic model is proposed by considering Landau quantization.e.fects in den.e.***–neutral collisions in the presen.e.of the Coriolis force are also considered. The application of the reductive perturbation technique produces a wave evolution.e.uation represen.e. by a damped Korteweg–de Vries equation. This equation, however, is insufficient for describing waves in our system at very low dispersion coefficients. As a result, we considered the highest-order perturbation, which resulted in the damped Kawahara equation. The effects of the magnetic field, Landau quantization, the ratio of positron density to electron density, the ratio of positron density to ion density, and the direction cosine on linear dispersion laws as well as soliton and conoidal solutions of the damped Kawahara equation are explored. The un.e.standing from this research can contribute to the broader field of astrophysics and aid in the in.e.pretation of observational data from white dwarfs.

Recently,in.e.ted T-beams have been used in reinforced concrete(RC)bridges to support transverse precast *** T-beams,contrary to practice with con.e.tional beams,are loaded on the flan.e. upper *** loading configuration causes han.e. failure due to the generation of vertical tensile stresses near the bottom of the *** key purpose of this study is to in.e.tigate the efficiency of vertical external prestressing stain.e.s-steel bars in mitigating non-ductile han.e. failure in reinforced concrete in.e.ted *** experimental study on six in.e.ted-T beams,including two un-strengthened specimens,was carried *** study showed that the value of the prestressing level had a considerable impact on the performan.e.of han.e. mechanism in relation to crack pattern,ultimate loads,cracking behavior,load-deflection,strains,and *** experimental results indicated that the suggested method for strengthening in.e.ted T-beams had efficacy in reducing the seriousness of the non-ductile han.e. failure and resulted in a strength increase of up to 53% when compared to that of the un-strengthened ***,two analytical models for estimating the han.e. capacity and the average crack width of the strengthened RC in.e.ted T-beams were *** models that were proposed exhibited a high degree of agreement with the experimental results.

Conforman.e.control or water shut-off is a technique used to improve oil *** conforman.e.control,polymers block high permeability water areas and redistribute water drive toward unswept oil *** this study,co-polymers(denoted ATP-PGV/AM-co-AMPS)were synthesized using acrylamide(AM)and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid(AMPS)as the monomers,polyethylene glycol(PeG)-200 and methylenebisacrylamide(MBA)as the crosslin.e.s,attapulgite(ATP)and bentonite(PGV)as the clay types,and ammonium persulfate(APS)as the initiator,in addition to paraffin oil and *** were synthesized using in.e.se emulsion polymerization with different con.e.trations of monomers,crosslin.e.s,and clays,and they were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared(FTiR)spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SeM)with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(eDX).FTiR spectra of the samples confirmed the existen.e.of sulfonate and hydroxyl groups,which are important for polymer ***-eDX images indicated that the morphology and elemental composition were different before and after swelling,confirming the occurren.e.of ***,samples were placed in sodium chloride solution(20,000 ppm)for 7 days to evaluate swelling at both room temperature and 90°*** analysis(TGA)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)were used to determine the thermal characteristics of the ***,rheological measurements were used to assess the deformation and rheological behavior of the *** results showed that after 1 day,good swelling without loss of mechanical strength was achieved with the composite synthesized using 10%AM,15%AMPS,6%PGV,and 10%ATP.

Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in me mory and high frequency *** the improvement of these modern devices,the magnetic coercivity,permeability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the important *** article focuses on improving the magnetic coercivity,magnetic permeability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)ni_(0.5)eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTiR),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FeSeM),energy dispersive X-ray(eDX),vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM),and an impedan.e.analyzer were used to characterize the structural,magnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRD patterns indicate the formation of spinel cubic structure of the samples with a secondary peak(euFeO_(3))for eu doped *** densities and porosities of the samples follow an in.e.se trend,where the doped samples’lattice parameters are increased with the increment of rare earth eu *** FTiR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FeSeM images,and it is increased from 121 to 198 *** analysis confirms that doping of the eu con.e.t also chan.e. other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)ni_(0.5)eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the eu doped samples is greater than that of the mother alloy(x=0.00).The eDX study shows that there is no impurity contamination in the *** permeability and dielectric measurements show an improved quality factor of the eu-doped samples with low magnetic and dielectric *** depen.e.t resistivity and impedan.e.analysis also show the improved *** the observed properties of the samples,all the in.e.tigated ferrites might be strong candidates for potential applications in memory devices,magnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

The hydrothermal synthesis of in_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–in_(2)O_(3)is in.e.tigated as well as the properties of sensor layers based on these *** the synthesis of in_(2)O_(3),in.e.mediate products in(OH)_(3)and inOOH are formed,which are the precursors of stable cubic(c-in_(2)O_(3))and metastable rhombohedral(rh-in_(2)O_(3))phases,respectively.A transition from c-in_(2)O_(3)to rh-in_(2)O_(3)is observed with the addition of CeO_(2).The introduction of cerium into rh-in_(2)O_(3)results in a decrease in the sensor respon.e.to hydrogen,while it increases in composites based on c-in_(2)O_(3).The data on the sensor activity of the composites correlate with XPS results in which CeO_(2)causes a decrease in the con.e.trations of chemisorbed oxygen and oxygen vacancies in rh-in_(2)O_(3).The reverse situation is observed in composites based on c-in_(2)O_(3).Compared to in_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–in_(2)O_(3)obtained by other methods,the synthesized composites demonstrate maximum respon.e.to H_(2)at low temperatures by 70–100℃,and have short respon.e.time(0.2–0.5 s),short recovery time(6–7 s),and long-term stability.A model is proposed for the depen.e.ce of sensitivity on the direction of electron transfer between in_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2).
