The Biochemical Reduction Of Both Nitrate And Sulfate In U-Containing Aquifers Of The Novosibirsk Plant Of Chemical Concentrates (NPCC) Was Investigated Experimentally And Thermodynamically. It Was Observed That Decrease In Eh Up To -397 Mv Has A Distinct Effect On The Denitrification And Uranium Precipitation As UO2(S). Nitrate Was Denitrified With A Temporary Accumulation Of The Intermediate Nitrite On The Day 4th. According To The X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis And Thermodynamic Calculations, More Than Half Of The Uranium Is Deposited In The First Stage As UO2+X oxides, And The Rest, Together With The Sulfides In The Reducing Environment. Findings Suggest That Accurately Thermodynamic Predicting Of Groundwater NO3-;?And SO42- Fate Is Primarily Limited By Failing To Account For A Kinetic Of Redox Fluctuations In The Experiment: 1) Measured Eh +190 Mv Is Low Despite The High Amount Of Nitrates (1124 Mg/L), But NH4+ Predominates In Solution According To Calculations, 2) Sulfate Reduction Lagged Behind Nitrate Reduction By Approximately 50 Days Unlike Model Simulation.

The influence of exogenic hormones (indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), abscisic acid (ABA) and kinetin) on defense reaction of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) calli to the bunt agent Tilletia caries (D.C.) Tul. & C. Tul. was studied. ABA and kinetin induced the oxalate oxidase activity, increased the Н2О2 level, decreased germination of fungi teliospores and induced on calli the occurrence of dense sites non-infected by pathogen. On the contrary, IAA led to the decrease of oxalate oxidase activity, loosening of calli and increase germination of bunt agent teliospores and growth of fungi mycelium, besides stimulated rhizoids formation of wheat calli. Probably, the accumulation of Н2О2 in wheat calli under the influence of kinetin and ABA connected with activity of oxalate oxidase is one of the factors increasing defense reaction of wheat to bunt agent.

A new type homogeneous planar PC （photoelectric converter） on the basis of multijunction semiconductor n＋-p-p＋-n＋-p-p＋-...-n＋-p-p＋ structure has been investigated. The entire structure is a cascade PC consisting of a number of elements of the structure--single PCs connected in series and illuminated by light that has consistently passed through the previous semiconductor layers. The theory of converter of both monochromatic and solar radiation has been developed and the limiting values of their photoelectric and power characteristics have been determined, including the optimal thickness and number of single PCs layered on a base PC, their spectral sensitivity, current-voltage characteristics and efficiency. The open-circuit voltage grows practically linearly with the number of elements in the cascade. The top efficiency limit for a certain optimal elements number reaches its maximum that exceeds considerably that of the base PC, especially in the range of low collecting coefficient of charge carriers in the base PC.

In this work data on heterogeneity in halotolerance and the resistance to antibiotics of heterotrophic bacteria dominating in Lake Shira (Republic of Khakasia, Russia) were presented. It was established that halotoler-ance of the bacteria is determined by genetic and epigenetic mechanisms. Influence of anthropogenic factor (entering the ecosystem allochthonous bacteria) on the appearance of multiple antibiotic resistance appear-ance by dominating bacterial species is discussed.

Measurement of the electrical conductivity of electrolytes and heterogeneous materials containing them is accompanied by numerous physical and electrochemical processes, complicating measuring and interpretation of data. As a result, the measurement of the electrical conductivity of such a system is a difficult and not finally resolved problem. The new method of resistance measurement of the electrolytic systems is substantiated and tested on example of heterogeneous electrolytic system “lignin-calcium chloride water solution” in this article. The method is based on measurement of resistance of the electrolytic system at different voltages (DC) on the cell and the consequent approximation of the acquired data taking into consideration volume charges and potential barriers arising on the boarders of electrodes and electrolytic materials. Extrapolation of the resistance to the limiting small current lets one obtain a characteristic value of the active resistance of the electrolytic system. The method is technically simple, inexpensive and has several advantages compared to the methods based on AC measurements.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of balanced hypocaloric diet therapy on the anthropometric and basic metabolic indicators in obese women with infertility. Methods: The follow up interventional clinical study included 23 infertile women in reproductive age with grade I gluteofemoral obesity. All patients have prescribed a balanced hypocaloric diet (1200 kcal/day), underwent exercise and behavioral therapy. Before and after 12-month treatment, an anthropometric study was conducted, determining the level of metabolic and hormonal indicators. Results: The total final number of study participants was 20 patients. A decrease in body weight was achieved in 87% of patients from 4 to 24 kg, on the average, by 10.58 ± 5.70 kg, there was also a decrease in BMI from 32.53 ± 1.40 to 28.55 ± 2.50 kg/m2 (p 0.001). The decrease in body weight was accompanied by a statistically significant decrease in leptin levels (p 0.001), E1 (p = 0.049), E2 (p = 0.032), fasting glucose (p 0.001), HOMA-IR (p = 0.002), cholesterol (p vels (p = 0.030). Ovulatory menstrual cycles were resumed in all women (p = 0.007) and pregnancy occurred within a year in 1 patient. Conclusion: The implementation of a hypocaloric diet for 12 months in infertile women with first-degree obesity helps to normalize metabolic and hormonal indicators, reduces body weight and restores ovulatory menstrual cycle in all patients.

Inflammatory granulomatous diseases are cha- racterized by a high concentration of granu- lomas in tissue interstitium in which phagocytic cells that produce active oxygen and nitrogen metabolites are accumulated. Because of their high reactivity, free radicals react with unsatu- rated fatty acids that are components of mem- brane phospholipids, activate lipid peroxidation processes (LPP), the products of which have a cytotoxic effect. The role of free radicals in the pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications has been proved. The purpose of the present work was to investigate the activity of lipid peroxidation processes in the liver of rats with silica-induced granulomatous inflammation, allo- xan diabetes and their combination. The expe- riment involved male albino rats divided into four main groups. The first group were rats with silica granulomatous inflammation (SL rats);the second group were alloxan diabetic rats (DB rats);and the third group were alloxan diabetic rats, in which silica granulomatous inflammation was induced 8 days after the disease onset (DB_SL rats), the fourth group were rats that were injected saline physiological solution into the tail vein (control rats). Rats were withdrawn from the experiment within different time pe- riods after the induction of pathological pro- cesses. LPP activity in liver homogenates was determined by the relative concentration of lipo- peroxides in the heptane-isopropanol system and the concentration of products of the reac- tion with 2-thiobarbituric acid-reactive substan- ces (TBARS). The severity of carbohydrate meta- bolism disorders was evaluated through the measurement of the blood level of glucose, daily urine volume and the relative weight of the kindneys. We found that silica administration activated LPP in the liver of SL rats;we ob- served the accumulation of primary products on day 1 after administration and later that of TBA- RS followed by normalization of their concen- tration by day 21 of the e

We have compared 142 adult men and women of various ages, grouped by professional occupation, all the occupations involving local muscular performance. We studied heart reactions and central nervous system reactions to local muscular performance done until fatigue set in. The results suggested that adaptive body changes had a number of shared signs, namely, tachycardia, hypertension, and increased statistical figures of the heart rhythm, which were indicative of tension in central regulatory mechanisms of the heart.

The aim of the present study is to investigate mental activity of the brain. The article deals with external remote-field manifestation of the subjective state of a person. There are statistically significant results obtained which demonstrate contactless remote influence of the subjective state of a person on erythrocyte sedimentation rate in different blood groups, Rh-positive and Rh-negative blood, and under different conditions of exposure. The authors set up a hypothesis of the existence of molecular structures in the blood, which can provide a remote response to expressed subjective state of a person.

Predictive assessments of the geomorphological systems’ behavior under climate warming in southern Siberia have been performed based on time-series data, using theoretical and empirical models of processes. High sensitivity and fast response of erosional, aeolian, and cryogenic processes to current climatic changes are presented. The current trends under changing functioning conditions of geomorphological systems while maintaining climatic trends have been determined. Areas with different targeting of morpholithogenesis are identified.
