The features of JAK-STAT signaling in liver cells are discussed in the current review. The role of this signaling cascade in carcinogenesis is accentuated. The possible involvement of this pathway and alteration of its elements are compared for normal cholangiocytes, cholangiocarcinoma predisposition and development. Prolactin and interleukin-6 are described in detail as the best studied examples. In addition, the non-classical nuclear translocation of cytokine receptors is discussed in terms of its possible implication to cholangiocarcinoma development.

A volume averaged columnar solidification model,which couples the flow,temperature and solute concentration fields,is applied to simulate experimental continuous casting cases with and without vertical electromagnetic stirring(v-EMS).The calculated distribution of magnetic induction intensity and final macrosegregation maps are consistent with the experimental *** results reveal that the v-EMS promotes longitudinal melt flow,accelerates heat dissipation and solidification and finally reduces the central segregation of ***,when v-EMS is applied,the solute distribution becomes asymmetric because the melt flow shows opposite directions between the near and far sides from *** obvious positive segregation band is observed at about 1/4 width of the billet near the stirrer in both calculated and experimental *** position and degree of such positive segregation could be affected by installation height of stirrer,as demonstrated by additional simulation cases.

The role of third molars in the oral cavity has been extensively studied over the years. Literature includes numerous diagnostic and treatment alternatives regarding the third molars. However, an issue that has not been discussed at the same level is their involvement in orthodontic therapy. The aim of this study is to present a review of the contemporary literature regarding the most broadly discussed aspects of the multifactorial role of third molars in orthodontics and which are of general dental interest too.

We propose a theoretical model of a nanoemitter for giga- and terahertz-range waves. The model is based on a peapod structure comprising a carbon nanotube with chiral indices （10, 10）. Three encapsulated and partially polymerized fuUerene C60 molecules and a positively charged C60 fullerene are trapped inside the nanotube. The motion of the charged fullerene and the radiation frequency were controlled using an external electric field. Stable terahertz radiation at a frequency of 0.36 THz was produced at 300 K with an external electrical field of 10 v/μm. Stable radiation in the gigahertz range was observed at 50 K with an electric field below 10 v/m. A theoretical simulation was performed using the tight-binding molecular dynamics method with a description of the van der Waals interaction by the Morse potential. The system described by the theoretical model was experimentally observed.

The evaluation of the microcirculatory bed functional state and the identification of angiospastic disorders with related complications,when the pathological changes are reversible,have an important role in medical *** aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility of using optical noninvasive methods and the cold pressor test to solve this problem.A total of 33 patients with rheumatological diseases and 32 healthy volunteers were included in the *** Doppler flowmetry,tissue reflectance oximetry and pulse oximetry were used as optical noninvasive *** parameters were recorded before,immediately after and 20 min after the cold pressor *** on the measured parameters,the complex parameters of the microcirculatory bed were calculated.A detailed statistical analysis of the parameter changes for each individual in the two groups displayed diverse microcirculatory bed parameter responses upon cold exposure,with differing recovery of parameters after *** diagnostic criteria were proposed for the identification of angiospastic *** to the proposed criteria,27 people of the volunteers group were confirmed to not display any *** the patient group,however,18 people were observed to have a relatively normal functional state of the microcirculatory bed,while 15 people were observed to have a possible tendency to *** highlight the diferences between a relatively normal state and presence of angiospastic disorders,statistical analysis of experimental data was carried out,which revealed significant *** analysis of data with angiospastic disorders identified a relationship between their diagnoses and the results of labo-ratory ***,the evaluation of combined noninvasive optical diagnostic method use,the cold pressor test and proposed diagnostic criteria showed a positive *** approach can be used to detect the presence of possible angiospastic disorders and related complications,as

In this study, castor oil, rapeseed oil and medium chain triglycerides of coconut oil, were transesterified bymeans of 2-ethyl-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol (trimethylolpropane) and consequently used to convertpolycarbonate waste from end-of-life vehicles into liquid polyols. The prepared recycled polyols, composeduniquely of renewable and recycled components, had a hydroxyl number of ca. 250 mg KOH·g−1. They weresuccessfully applied as 100% replacement of a virgin polyol for preparation of solid crosslinked polyurethanes(PU) by solvent-free casting. The produced rigid cast PU exhibited the main transition temperature rangingfrom 44°C to 53°C, the hardness value from 46 to 61 Shore D and the beneficial low water absorption (0.4-0.5wt.%). The PU network structure was highly influenced by the presence of aromatic structures ofpolycarbonate-units and fatty acid compositions. A suitable selection of natural oil thus enabled to adjustthermo-mechanical properties and promote excellent optical transparency of the produced PU.

Phylogeny of Brucella abortus strains isolated in the Russian Federation

Objective: To study Brucella(B.) abortus strains isolated in the Russian Federation, in order to identify their detailed position in the phylogenetic structure of the species global population as well as to determine genetic relationships for isolates from different geographical ***: Based on Bayesian method, the whole genome singlenucleotide polymorphism(SNP) analysis of 258 B. abortus strains from different geographical areas of the world including 20 B. abortus strains isolated in Russia was carried out. Results: The core genome SNP analysis of the B. abortus isolates allowed describing the main genetic lineages. The Russian strains entered two separate clades, including the basal branch and the C1 branch that is widely spread in Eurasia. The data on the isolation time was used for the dating of phylogenetic tree, and also the estimated time frame for the B. abortus genotype diversification was determined. There were sets of specific SNPs identified, which defined each of the genotypes and ***: A significant genetic diversity of the brucellosis pathogen strains from Russia has been proven. The sets of unique specific SNPs described in our study may become one of the elements within a bio-informational analysis algorithm to be used for epidemiological study of brucellosis outbreaks, including those caused by new(atypical) genetic variants of B. abortus.
