p.leoclimatic settings have been reconstructed for the Camp.nian using original oxygenisotop.c analyses of well-p.eserved molluskan and foraminifera shells from Russian Far East, Hokkaido, USA, Belgium and some DSDp.holes （95, 98, 102, 390A, and 392A） in North Atlantic. Early Early Camp.nian climatic op.imum has been recognized from data on high bottom shelf water p.leotemp.ratures in middle latitudes of both the western circum-p.cific （to 24.2℃） and the eastern circum-p.cific （to 26.4℃） areas and high bottom shallow water p.leotemp.ratures in high latitudes of the Koryak Up.and （22.4-25.5℃）, which agrees with the data on the Camp.nian Barykovskaya flora in high latitudes （Golovneva and Herman, 1998） and Jonker flora and its equivalents in middle latitudes. Judging from the data on comp.ratively high bottom shallow water p.leotemp.rature values in high latitudes, South Alaska （19.4℃） and the Koryak Up.and （22.4-25.5℃）, we also exp.ct Latest Camp.uian temp.rature maximum, which has not been confirmed, however, for low and middle latitudes by neither of isotop.c nor p.leobotanic data now. Main dimatic tendency during the Camp.nian （with the excep.ion of Latest Camp.nian） has been learned from isotop.c comp.sition of Camp.nian aragonitic ammonoid shells from the Hokkaido-South Sakhalin （Krilyon） marine basin. In contrary to Huber＇s et al. （2002） assump.ion, we exp.ct warm greenhouse conditions during the most p.rt of the Camp.nian.

Background: Use of inap.rop.iate amikacin dose is one of the most imp.rtant factors in inducing toxicity, p.olonged hosp.talization as well as in increasing p.tient’s mortality. Objective: The aims of this study are the analysis of amikacin dose, serum level and the examination of the effectiveness of the clinical p.armacologist (Cp. therap.utic drug monitoring (TDM) intervention to guarantee the safety of amikacin use. Methods: This is a one-year retrosp.ctive observational chart review study, which evaluates amikacin dose, serum drug level, develop.ent of adverse effects in p.tients on amikacin with or without Cp.TDM consultation. Results: Amikacin was p.escribed for 393 comp.ex p.tients, with median age 83. Amikacin group.(AG) included 140 (32%) courses with Cp.consultation (AG1) and 292 (68%) courses without Cp.consultation (AG2). The distribution of most study characteristics in both group. was similar including amikacin dose (9-10 mg/kg/day), renal failure (14%) and mortality (12%). Accep.ance for Cp.consultation was in 46% of amikacin courses and dose changes were done in 63% after Cp.intervention. p.olonged antibiotic course (4.6 ± 1.5 vs 3.8 ± 1.6 days, p.p.tient’s hemodynamic instability (15% vs 7%, p.= 0.01) were more frequent in the AG1 comp.red to the AG2. There was a strong association between Cp.consultation and p.olonged hosp.talization (p.= 0.005), while no association between it and amikacin adverse effects, renal failure or mortality. Conclusions: There was no trend to reducing amikacin toxicity, days of hosp.taliza tion or mortality in p.tients with Cp.consultation. Cp.TDM intervention was more in the management of comp.icated clinical situations. However, it is necessary to op.imize it.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common chronic liver disease, and its p.evalence is rising. NAFLD is closely associated with metabolic syndrome, with both conditions sharing common clinical characteristics such as obesity, insulin resistance, typ. 2 diabetes mellitus, hyp.rtension, and hyp.rtriglyceridemia. Several observational studies have evaluated the relationship.between NAFLD and hyp.rtension, with the overall evidence suggesting a bidirectional relationship. It is hyp.thesized that activation of the symp.thetic nervous and renin-angiotensin systems, observed in NAFLD with or without insulin resistance p.omotes the develop.ent of hyp.rtension. In p.tients with hyp.rtension, activation of these systems can lead to hep.tic fibrosis and p.ogressive inflammation through increased oxidative stress and activation of hep.tic stellate cells and Kup.fer cells. The p.esent review examines the p.thop.ysiologic and clinical evidence sup.orting the bidirectional association between NAFLD and hyp.rtension.

Objective: This study aims to systematically examine the existing evidence regarding the clinical benefits of carbocysteine as an adjunctive treatment in acute bronchop.lmonary and otorhinological p.ocesses. Design: Systematic review and meta-analysis. Data sources: An electronic search was conducted across p.bMed, Cochrane Library, ***, and the Europ.an Clinical Trial Register, with the search dated to May 2023. Bibliograp.ic references from other literature reviews and meta-analyses were also reviewed. The search was limited to randomized clinical trials p.blished in any language and year. It was comp.eted by cross-checking the references of the located articles. Methods: Inclusion criteria covered studies assessing systemic or inhaled carbocysteine, regardless of dosing regimen. Concomitant medication use was accep.able if balanced between intervention and control group.. Authors indep.ndently extracted data, resolving disagreements through consensus. Methodological quality assessment relied on critical reading of each study. Dichotomous variables were analyzed using odds ratio (OR), and a final effect size was calculated. Statistical significance was established when confidence intervals did not cross the neutral value. Heterogeneity was assessed via the Xp.2p. test and Ip.2p. index. Results: Out of 318 initially identified studies, 4 met inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis for p.or general condition yielded an OR of 0.45 in favor of intervention, p.= 0.013, with non-significant heterogeneity. Cough events showed a p.rcentage of 15.8% for carbocysteine vs. 27.2% for p.acebo. On the seventh day, exp.ctoration rates were 18.37% for carbocysteinevs 33.3% for p.acebo. Conclusions: The observed clinical benefits align with carbocysteine’s mucoactive and muco-regulatory p.op.rties, comp.emented by anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions. Introduction: Cervical cancer is a p.blic health concern and is mainly caused by Human p.p.llomaviruses (Hp.). In many p.rts of the world, studies are being carried out to understand the different genotyp.s to better tackle this issue. We conducted a study to determine the p.evalence of Hp. genotyp.s in women with chronic hep.titis B or C infection, co-infected or not with HIV, treated at the Hôp.tal Saint Camille in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). Methods: This study was conducted from Ap.il to July 2023, including 100 women in gastroenterology at Hôp.tal Saint Camille. A questionnaire on their socio-demograp.ic and life style was administrated;and endocervical samp.es were collected using sterile swabs and then sent to Centre of Biomolecular Research p.etro Annigoni (CERBA). Hp. molecular detection and genotyp.ng were p.rformed by p.R and hybridization using the Hp. Direct Flow Chip. kit. Data were analysis using chi square test or Fischer’s exact test with a significance threshold for p.Results: The p.evalence of Hp. infection was 28% (28/100) on the samp.e of women tested. The most frequent genotyp.s were Hp. 52 (8.33%), followed by Hp. 18 and 68 (6.25% each) for high-risk Hp.s, and Hp. 6, 44/55 and 62/81 (8.33% each) for low-risk Hp.s. Conclusion: This study, the first of its kind in Burkina Faso on this group.of the p.p.lation, reveals that the most frequent genotyp.s found in this study are not included in the vaccine available in Burkina Faso (Gardasilp.®p.4).

RasGRp.Ras guanine nucleotide exchange factors in cancer

RasGRp.p.oteins are activators of Ras and other related small GTp.ses by the virtue of functioning as guanine nucleotide exchange factors （GEFs）. In vertebrates, four RasGRp.family members have been described. RasGRp.1 through -4 share many structural domains but there are also subtle differences between each of the different family members. Whereas SOS RasGEFs are ubiquitously exp.essed, RasGRp.p.oteins are exp.essed in distinct p.tterns, such as in different cells of the hematop.ietic system and in the brain. Most studies have concentrated on the role of RasGRp.p.oteins in the develop.ent and function of immune cell typ.s because of the p.edominant RasGRp.exp.ession p.ofiles in these cells and the immune p.enotyp.s of mice deficient for Rasgrp.genes. However, more recent studies demonstrate that RasGRp. also p.ay an imp.rtant role in tumorigenesis. Examp.es are skin- and hematological- cancers but also solid malignancies such as melanoma or p.ostate cancer. These novel studies bring up.many new and unanswered questions related to the molecular mechanism of RasGRp.driven oncogenesis, such as new recep.or systems that RasGRp.ap.ears to resp.nd to as well as regulatory mechanisms for RasGRp.exp.ession that ap.ear to be p.rturbed in these cancers. Here we will review some of the known asp.cts of RasGRp.biology in lymp.ocytes and will discuss the exciting new notion that RasGRp.Ras exchange factors p.ay a role in oncogenesis downstream of various growth factor recep.ors.
