The paper presents the results of the sterlet sturg.on Acipenser ruthenus reintroduction into the Kama Reservoir(Perm Krai,Russia)by sterlet fry from hatcheries into the reservoir since *** effectiveness of hatchery releases was evaluated by monitoring.g.llnet sampling.*** results showed that the species was reported throug.out entire Kama Reservoir,which contrasts with 1988-1994 data,when the species was reg.stered only at the upper part of the reservoir near the Kama River *** hig.est number and biomass values of catch per unit effort(CPUE)of the sterlet were found in submerg.d river channels-the deepest habitats with flow conditions which are close to the ecolog.cal requirements of the *** distribution of the sterlet within the channel biotopes of the reservoir is defined by reduced *** big.est individuals and the widest size rang. of the sterlet were typical for the upper area of the reservoir and Chusovskoy Bay,which have the g.eatest *** smallest sizes were typical for fish from catches near the dam of the reservoir,which is consistent with the published data on the distribution of sterlet in reservoir *** presented results may indicate the artificial formation of the sterlet stock in the Kama Reservoir maintained by hatchery *** revealed distribution of the sterlet in the reservoir determines the direction of further research on natural reproduction and thus formation of an artificially formed ***,future studies are required to assess the possibility of hybridization of the sterlet of artificial orig.n with natural populations of the species,since the low g.netic diversity of the sterlet released into the Kama Reservoir which can lead to irreversible loss of g.netic individuality of the natural stocks of the species in the catchment of upper course of the Kama River.

The main problem faced by ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR)includes low activity,poor selectivity,and *** the study,we found that polysulfide modified on the surface of PtCu intermetallic(IM)/C can simultaneously enrich hydroxyl and ethanol,which could effectively improve the catalytic activity,CO_(2) selectivity,and durability of *** mass activity and the specific activity of the product in 1 M KOH electrolyte reached 17.83 A·mg.t^(-1) and 24.67 mA·cm^(-2).The CO_(2) selectivity of polysulfide modified product achieved 93.5%,which was 30 folds hig.er than Pt/*** addition,the catalyst showed hig. catalytic *** mechanism study demonstrates that the surface modified polysulfide could sig.ificantly boost the enrichment effect of ethanol and hydroxyl species,accelerating.C–C bond cleavag. and CO oxidation.

Appropriateness of Amikacin Dose Prescription, Monitoring.and Safety during.Hospitalization as an Impact of Clinical Pharmacolog.st Intervention, in the Israeli Reg.onal Hospital

Backg.ound: Use of inappropriate amikacin dose is one of the most important factors in inducing.toxicity, prolong.d hospitalization as well as in increasing.patient’s mortality. Objective: The aims of this study are the analysis of amikacin dose, serum level and the examination of the effectiveness of the clinical pharmacolog.st (CP) therapeutic drug.monitoring.(TDM) intervention to g.arantee the safety of amikacin use. Methods: This is a one-year retrospective observational chart review study, which evaluates amikacin dose, serum drug.level, development of adverse effects in patients on amikacin with or without CP TDM consultation. Results: Amikacin was prescribed for 393 complex patients, with median ag. 83. Amikacin g.oup (Ag. included 140 (32%) courses with CP consultation (Ag.) and 292 (68%) courses without CP consultation (Ag.). The distribution of most study characteristics in both g.oups was similar including.amikacin dose (9-10 mg.kg.day), renal failure (14%) and mortality (12%). Acceptance for CP consultation was in 46% of amikacin courses and dose chang.s were done in 63% after CP intervention. Prolong.d antibiotic course (4.6 ± 1.5 vs 3.8 ± 1.6 days, p g. compared to the Ag.. There was a strong.association between CP consultation and prolong.d hospitalization (p = 0.005), while no association between it and amikacin adverse effects, renal failure or mortality. Conclusions: There was no trend to reducing.amikacin toxicity, days of hospitaliza tion or mortality in patients with CP consultation. CP TDM intervention was more in the manag.ment of complicated clinical situations. However, it is necessary to optimize it.

Enhancement of endog.nous midbrain neurog.nesis by microneurotrophin BNN-20 after neural prog.nitor g.afting.in a mouse model of nig.al deg.neration

We have previously shown the neuroprotective and pro-neurog.nic activity of microneurotrophin BNN-20 in the substantia nig.a of the “weaver” mouse, a model of prog.essive nig.ostriatal deg.neration. Here, we extended our investig.tion in two clinically-relevant ways. First, we assessed the effects of BNN-20 on human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neural prog.nitor cells and neurons derived from healthy and parkinsonian donors. Second, we assessed if BNN-20 can boost the outcome of mouse neural prog.nitor cell intranig.al transplantations in weaver mice, at late stag.s of deg.neration. We found that BNN-20 has limited direct effects on cultured human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neural prog.nitor cells, marg.nally enhancing.their differentiation towards neurons and partially reversing.the patholog.cal phenotype of dopaminerg.c neurons g.nerated from parkinsonian donors. In ag.eement, we found no effects of BNN-20 on the mouse neural prog.nitor cells g.afted in the substantia nig.a of weaver mice. However, the g.aft strong.y induced an endog.nous neurog.nic response throug.out the midbrain, which was sig.ificantly enhanced by the administration of microneurotrophin BNN-20. Our results provide straig.tforward evidence of the existence of an endog.nous midbrain neurog.nic system that can be specifically streng.hened by BNN-20. Interesting.y, the lack of major similar activity on cultured human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neural prog.nitors and their prog.ny reveals the in vivo specificity of the aforementioned pro-neurog.nic effect.

细胞内或细胞间的微空间使得生物体内的各种酶促反应能够高效有序地进行.基于此,本文结合天然酶-纳米酶二者的优势,构筑了一种模拟体内酶促级联反应的微囊反应器.首先,以天然硅铝酸盐矿物埃洛石纳米管(HNTs)为载体,在其表面原位生成具有类辣根过氧化物酶活性的四氧化三铁(Fe3O4);随后,将其作为囊壁材料封装天然葡萄糖氧化酶(g.x),构筑g.x@Fe3O4-HNTs微囊反应器.当向体系中加入葡萄糖时,微囊反应器内的g.x先将葡萄糖转化为葡萄糖酸和过氧化氢(H_(2)O_(2)),之后H_(2)O_(2)继续被囊壁中的Fe_(3)O_(4)催化转化为羟基自由基,触发底物3,3',5,5'-四甲基联苯胺(TMB)显色.其中,Fe_(3)O_(4)-HNTs作为囊壁材料不仅使囊内g.x免受外界环境干扰,还可与g.x构建级联催化反应体系,这种酶-纳米酶微囊化级联体系具有比天然酶系统更优异的催化性能和反应稳定性.此外,因磁性Fe_(3)O_(4)的参与,材料还具有可回收性和重复使用性.这种酶-纳米酶复合微囊反应器为模拟生物体内限域环境下的多酶反应体系提供了新方法,同时为后续生物分析与仿生催化领域的进一步研究奠定了基础.

Metabolic characterization of selected probiotic consortia during.g.uten and wheat bread simulated dig.stion

While exerting.their metabolic activities in the g.strointestinal milieu， probiotics impact the host well-being.by boosting.immunity， treating.metabolic disorders， and modulating.microbiota and metabolome. Due to the hig. incidence of g.uten-based disorders， the present work aims to deeply explore the metabolism of two selected microbial consortia (MCs) during.g.uten dig.stion under simulated g.strointestinal conditions. Featured by hig. protease and peptidase activity， both MCs accounted for different lactic acid bacteria and Bacillus strains that were combined with two commercial protease enzymes. g.uten substrates were used as purified extracts， white and whole wheat breads. Control samples， instead， relied onto the microbial enzyme lack. Twenty-four hours of simulated dig.stion were sufficient to completely hydrolyze g.uten in one of the two MC-containing.experimental sets， and the relative 48 h-dig.sted extract did not alter the cytokine expression in duodenal biopsies from celiac disease (CeD) patients. When dig.sted samples were assayed for antioxidant and phytase activities， microbial enzymes demonstrated to sig.ificantly improve both ABTS and DPPH values and to decrease the phytic acid concentration. The inspection of the free amino acid profiles allowed for disting.ishing.the two MCs， whereas the detection of a heterog.neous panel of volatile org.nic compounds supported the presence/activity of microbial enzymes without statistically sig.ificant differences between MCs. As functional contribution， dig.sted extracts with MCs also proved to reduce the inflammatory cytokine concentrations in cell lines exposed to lipopolysaccharide trig.er. Therefore， in line with studies exploring.novel adjuvant therapies， the present innovative probiotic consortium featured by hig. g.uten-hydrolyzing.metabolism also showed the capability to improve various parameters usually found to be altered in patients affected by g.uten-based disorders or CeD.
