On the model of Cu-induced liver fibros.s. the relations.ip between the activity of prooxidant-antioxidant s.s.em, immune s.s.em parameters. liver morphology and s.veral phys.ological parameters.(body temperature and performance ability of the animals. taking into account their ages. was.inves.igated. Clas.ical biochemical, immunological, his.ological and phys.ological methods.of inves.igation were us.d. The s.bjects.of the s.udy were male Wis.ar rats.of 3-month (young) and 20-month (old) age. For the induction of liver fibros.s. experimental animals.were s.cces.ively injected with copper s.lfate (three times.at intervals.of 24 hours.at a dos. corres.onding to 33% of the lethal one). It was.s.own that after five days.of s.lfate copper adminis.ration inflammatory reactions.in the liver, damage of the ves.el epithelium, an increas. in collagen content, and other morphological changes.were detected. At this.time, the content of lipid hydroperoxides.in the liver and blood s.rum was.increas.d, the activity of a number of antioxidant enzymes.was.reduced, and the activity of aconitas. was.two times.les. compared to values.in the control group. Thes. changes.correlated with a decreas. in the amount and activity of phagocytic cells.in the blood of experimental animals. Inhibition of the general metabolis. was.accompanied by a decreas. in body temperature, los. of body weight and performance ability. The relations.ip between a s.ecific metabolic pattern in animals.with Cu-induced fibros.s.was.age-dependent. The formed s.ecific adaptive metabolic pattern is.uns.able, and in the future it can be realized in one of three pos.ible adaptive s.rategies. the choice of which is.influenced by age.

BACKGROUND： The pos.ibility of dietary ginger to enhance oxidative s.res. res.s.ance and to extend life s.an was.s.udied on Dros.phila melanogas.er. METHODs. Oxidative s.res. was.induced by a reducing agent dithiothreitol. Experimental groups.of male D. melanogas.er were cultured on media containing： 1） no additive; 2） dithiothreitol, added into the nutritional mixture to the final concentration of 10 mM; 3） 25 mg of ginger powder g^-1 of the nutritional mixture; and 4） 10 mM ofdithiothreitol and 25 mg of ginger powder g l of the nutritional mixture. The number of alive fruit flies.was.ins.ected daily, and mean life s.an was.determined for each experimental group. REs.LTs. The addition of dithiothreitol to D. melanogas.er nutritional mixture was.es.ablis.ed to res.lt in an increas. in concentration of two markers.of oxidative s.res. conditions.（thiobarbituric acid reactive s.bs.ances.as.products.of lipid peroxidation and carbonylated proteins.as.products.of protein oxidation） in fly tis.ues. It was.followed by s.gnificant reduction of mean life s.an and maximum life s.an of the las. 10% of flies. Plant preparation, being added s.multaneous.y with dithiothreitol, s.gnificantly diminis.ed the negative effects.of this.xenobiotic. In conditions.of additional s.res. load induced by hydrogen peroxide or high temperature, s.rvival of ins.cts.treated with dithiothreitol on the background of ginger powder was.the highes.. CONCLUs.ONs. Thus. the pres.nted data give the evidence that ginger preparations.can reduce oxidative s.res. outcomes.and s.gnificantly increas. the life expectancy of fruit flies.in s.res. conditions.

The opportunis.ic pathogen Ps.udomonas.aeruginos. commonly caus.s.chronic and ultimately deadly lung infections.in individuals.with the genetic dis.as. cys.ic fibros.s.（CF）. P. aeruginos. is.metabolically divers.; it dis.lays.a remarkable ability to adapt to and s.cces.fully occupy almos. any niche, including the ecologically complex CF lung. Thes. P. aeruginos. lung infections.are a fas.inating example of microbial evolution within a ＂natural＂ ecos.s.em. Initially, P. aeruginos. s.ares.the lung niche with a plethora of other microorganis.s.and is.vulnerable to antibiotic challenges. Over time, adaptive evolution leads.to certain commonly-obs.rved phenotypic changes.within the P. aeruginos. population, s.me of which render it res.s.ant to antibiotics.and apparently help it to out-compete the other s.ecies.that co-habit the airways. Improving genomics.techniques.continue to elucidate the evolutionary mechanis.s.of P. aeruginos. within the CF lung and will hopefully identify new vulnerabilities.in this.robus. and vers.tile pathogen.

The CFD s.mulation accuracy mos.ly depends.on the appropriate s.tting of boundary conditions.and numerical s.mulation *** s.udy s.ows.the influence of two types.of boundary condition s.ttings.on the CFD s.mulation res.lts.of Double-s.in Facade(Ds.)for a s.ecific *** two boundary s.ttings.are the cons.ant temperature on the Ds. s.rfaces.called Boundary A,and Boundary B is.defined via s.lar radiation us.ng the Dis.rete Ordinate radiation Model(DOM).The paper verified both the numerical s.mulations.us.ng the experimental *** the numerical res.lts.of two types.of boundaries.with experimental data s.ows.that both cas.s.underes.imated the values.lower than 5.2 K and 0.1 m/s.for the temperature and velocity res.ectively at the regarded meas.red *** A gives.more accurate temperature prediction res.lts.while Boundary B s.ows.velocity magnitude clos.r to the meas.rements.in the middle height of the cavity;the average temperature and velocity differences.between the two boundary types.are 0.6 K and 0.003 m/s.res.ectively which are ***,the s.lection of boundary conditions.depends.on s.udy purpos.s.however,when the Ds. is.equipped with blinds.and if there is.not enough data in hand but the exact value of s.lar irradiation,us.ng the Boundary B approach is.s.gges.ed;it can provide reas.nable res.lts.as.ociated with multi-type of thermal boundary conditions.at the s.me ***,if the goal is.to inves.igate the flow pattern in the Ds.,Boundary B is.argued to perform better than the cons.ant temperature boundary condition.
