AIM:To examine the imprinted Dlk1-Dio3 locus in pluripotent embryonic stem(ES)cell/fibroblast hybrid ***:Gtl2,Rian,and Mirg mRNA expression in mouse pluripotent ES cell/fibroblast hybrid cells was examined by real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain *** and bisulfate sequencing were used to determine the DNA methylation level of the Dlk1-Dio3 locus imprinting control region. RESUlTS:The selected hybrid clones had a near-tetraploid karyotype and were highly pluripotent judging from their capacity to generate chimeric embryos and adult *** data clearly demonstrate that Gtl2,Rian,and Mirg,which are imprinted genes within the Dlk1-Dio3 locus,are active in all examined ES cell/fibroblast hybrid *** spite of interclonal variability,the expression of the imprinted genes is comparable to that of ES cells and *** analysis of the DNA methylation status of the intergenic differentially methylated region(IG DMR)within the Dlk1-Dio3 locus by pyrosequencing and bisulfite sequencing clearly showed that the DNA methylation status of the imprinted region in the tested hybrid clones was comparable to that of both ES cells and ***:Reprogramming process in a hybrid cell system is achieved without marked alteration of the imprinted Dlk1-Dio3 locus.

Chemical passivation of methylammonium fragments eliminates traps,extends charge lifetimes,and restores structural stability of CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3) perovskite

Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites are currently considered the most promising next-generation photovoltaic ***,poor stability,arising from structural degradation under exposure to moisture,heat,and strong current,remains a critical challenge for their device *** ab initio nonadiabatic molecular dynamics,we demonstrate that methylamine fragments deriving from the dissociation of the methylammonium cation can undermine structural stability,produce deep hole traps,and decrease charge carrier lifetimes by 1-3 orders of *** stability and charge lifetime can be restored by methylamine passivation with chlorines,which withdraw electrons from the lone electron pair of methylamine and bring the trap levels down into the valence *** charge lifetime of the passivated system is even longer than that of the pristine *** simulations reveal the detailed microscopic mechanism underlying deterioration of perovskite performance due to molecular defects,and demonstrate an effective defect passivation strategy to obtain highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells.

Efficient passivation of DY center in CH_(3)NH_(3)PbBr_(3) by chlorine:Quantum molecular dynamics

MAPbBr_(3)(MA=CH_(3)NH_(3)^(+))doping with bismuth increases electric conductivity,charge carrier density and photostability,reduces toxicity,and expands light ***,Bi doping shortens excited-state lifetimes due to formation of DY−charge recombination *** nonadiabatic molecular dynamics and time-domain density functional theory,we demonstrate that the DY−center forms a deep,highly localized hole trap,which accelerates nonradiative relaxation ten-fold and is responsible for 90%of carrier *** trapping occurs by coupling between the valence band and the trap state,facilitated by the Br atoms surrounding the Bi *** of the DY−center with chlorines heals the local geometry distortion,eliminates the trap state,and makes the carrier lifetimes longer than even in pristine MAPbBr_(3).The decreased charge recombination arises from reduced nonadiabatic coupling and shortened coherence time,due to diminished electron–hole overlap around the passivated *** study demonstrates accelerated nonradiative recombination in Bi-doped MAPbBr_(3),suggests a strategy for defect passivation and reduction of nonradiative energy losses,and provides atomistic insights into unusual defect properties of metal halide perovskites needed for rational design of high-performance perovskite solar cells and optoelectronic devices.

Glycine-nitrate combustion engineering of neodymium cobaltite nanocrystals

NdCoO_(3)nanocrystals formed via glycine-nitrate combustion method followed by heat treatment has been systematically *** of NdCoO_(3)nanocrystals with minimal size of 7-10 nm from X-ray amorphous combustion products has been elucidated to be a very rapid process,occurring at the temperature of 550-600℃for5-30 *** comparison of the minimum sizes of NdCoO_(3)crystallites obtained from the offered empirical relation dmin=lunit cell·N(where N is 7-12 and‘unit cellis elementary cell parameter)and the data determined on the basis of X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)showed good *** existence of special nanoporous microstructure and spatial limitations prevent NdCoO_(3)particle *** kinetic equation based on Avrami-Erofeev nucleation model was offered to be correlated well with experimental data of fractional conversion(a)versus isothermal time(s).The apparent activation energy(Ea=(338±32)kJ)of formation of NdCoO_(3)nanocrystals from X-ray amorphous combustion products obtained in excess of oxidant followed by heat treatment at 550-600℃was determined.

Identification of genes involved in the formation of soluble dietary fiber in winter rye grain and their expression in cultivars with different viscosities of wholemeal water extract

The grain of rye(Secale cereale l.) used for baking contains a large amount of non-starch polysaccharides,making it an excellent component of functional foods. But rye grain intended for alcohol production and forage use should have a reduced content of these polysaccharides. A comprehensive parameter that can predict the best field of application for winter rye grain is the viscosity of its wholemeal water ***, our understanding of the genetic background underlying this key trait and associated features of rye grain is poor. By analyzing six Russian winter rye cultivars, we identified the most contrasting forms and characterized the peculiarities of their water-soluble carbohydrates capable of influencing the viscosity of water extracts. Then, using phylogenetic and transcriptomic analyses, we identified in the rye genome many genes encoding putative glycosyltransferases and glycosylhydrolases responsible for the synthesis and degradation of arabinoxylans, mixed-linkage glucans, cellulose, and some other polysaccharides. We determined the dynamics of m RNA abundance for these genes at three stages of kernel development. Comparisons of gene expression levels in two contrasting cultivars revealed specific members of multigene families that may serve as promising targets for manipulating non-starch polysaccharide content in rye grain. High-viscosity cultivars were characterized by up-regulation of many glycosyltransferases involved in the biosynthesis of arabinoxylans and other cell-wall polysaccharides,whereas low-viscosity cultivars showed up-regulation of several genes encoding polysaccharidedegrading enzymes.

White blood cell(WBC)monitoring has reduced clozapinetreated patient deaths associated with agranulocytosis to a ***,clozapine protocols and package inserts worldwide provide no instructions for preventing myocarditis or pneumonia during clozapine *** worldwide are largely unaware of ***,as they worry about agranulocytosis,their clozapine-treated patients are at risk of dying from pneumonia or ***,an international guideline with 104 authors from 50 countries/regions was recently published to provide personalised clozapine titration schedules for adult *** forum article reviews pneumonia and myocarditis occurring during clozapine titration,as well as the three most innovative aspects of this new guideline:(1)personalised titration,(2)C reactive protein(CRP)measures,and(3)dose predictions based on blood *** metabolism is influenced by 3 levels of complexity:(1)ancestry groups,(2)sex-smoking subgroups,and(3)presence/absence of poor metabolizer *** 3 groups of variables should determine the maintenance dose and speed of clozapine titration;they are summarised in a table in the *** international clozapine titration guideline recommends measuring CRP levels simultaneously with WBC,at baseline and weekly at least for the first 4 weeks of titration,the highest risk period for clozapine-induced myocarditis.

This study was conducted to determine the parent-off spring genetic structure of the pedunculate oak(Quercus robur l.),sessile oak(***[Matt.]liebl.)and their *** half-sib Quercus families and their maternal trees originating from one tree stand in southern lithuania were analyzed using SSR and RAPD *** on a preliminary study of leaf morphological traits,the individuals separated into six *** studied halfsib oak families were also compared for allelic diversity,including group variations;genotypic structure;genetic diversity;and the degree of genetic subdivision and diff *** level of genetic variation and subdivision was lower in the hybrid families than in the families of the parental *** analysis of the half-sibling off spring showed the asymmetric nature of interspecifi c hybridization processes of pedunculate and sessile oaks in mixed stands.
