This paper presents data from a 21 cm H I emission drift scan observation of a field partially covering the NGC 4636 galaxy group with the Five-hundred meter Aperture Radio Telescope(FAST). We construct a pipeline to reduce the data, and use So Fi A for source finding. When not contaminated by Radio Frequency Interference(RFI), the FAST observations are capable of detecting all of the galaxies previously detected by the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA(ALFALFA) survey in the same region. Comparing to ALFALFA for the detections in common, the FAST data show consistent integrated spectra when the H I disks are spatially unresolved, and capture more flux when the H I disks are resolved. The FAST data further reveal 10 new detections in the region mutually covered with ALFALFA, and 18 new detections beyond the footprint of ALFALFA. All of the new detections have the matching optical counterparts. For the member galaxies of the NGC 4636 group, the detection limit of FAST is deeper by 0.4 dex in H I mass than that of the ALFALFA data. After correcting for the incompleteness caused by RFI contamination, we show that the H I detection rate of galaxies rises steeply with radius out to the virial radius of the group, and flattens beyond that. We also examine four spatially resolved galaxy systems with potential tidal interaction features in detail. Considering that the data have been taken during the“shared-risk” period before a major source of local RFI was eliminated, the results highlight the power of FAST in detecting extragalactic H I.

Microscopy with ultraviolet surface excitation(MUSE)is a promising slide-free imaging technique to improve the time-consuming histopathology ***,since the penetration depth of the excitation light is tissue dependent,the image contrast could be significantly degraded when the depth of field of the imaging system is shallower than the penetration ***-resolution cellular imaging normally comes with a shallow depth of field,which also restricts the tolerance of surface roughness in biological *** we propose the incorporation of MUSE with speckle illumination(termed MUSES),which can achieve sharp imaging on thick and rough *** experimental results demonstrate the potential of MUSES in providing histological images with~1μm spatial resolution and improved contrast,within 10 minutes for a field of view of 1.7 mm×1.2 *** the extended depth of field feature,MUSES also relieves the constraint of tissue ***,with a color transformation assisted by deep learning,a virtually stained histological image can be generated without manual tuning,improving the applicability of MUSES in clinical settings.

The interaction effects of rocker angle and apex location in rocker shoe design on foot biomechanics and Achilles tendon loading

The influences of rocker shoes on foot biomechanics were controversial because the interaction between two design factors—rocker angle and apex location,was usually *** study investigated the interaction effects of rocker angle and apex location on plantar foot pressure,metatarsophalangeal/ankle angle,and Achilles tendon force during *** participants performed walking trials under six rocker shoe conditions:2 rocker angles(mild and severe)×3 apex locations(distal,standard,and proximal),wherein the plantar foot pressure was measured and the movement data were processed by musculoskeletal modeling to report joint angle and Achilles tendon force.A two-way ANoVA repeated measures was used for *** interaction effects were reported in examinations of forefoot pressure,midfoot pressure,and metatarsophalangeal *** standard apex significantly reduced peak forefoot and midfoot pressures(p=0.008–0.034,Hedges'g=0.75–0.84),which was further decreased by a severe rocker angle(p=0.006,Hedges'g=0.51–0.81).Moving the apex proximally reduced Achilles tendon forces(poth metatarsophalangeal dorsiflexion and ankle plantarflexion during push-off(p=0.003–0.006,Hedges'g=0.03–0.82).Rocker angle seemed to have fewer effects on ankle joint angle and Achilles tendon *** concluded that apex location was likely the dominant design factor of the rocker sole in influencing foot biomechanics,yet its interactions with rocker angle should be *** configuration of the two features could be varied to possess different therapeutic merits and adapt to specific application purposes.

在深圳,城中村一直都是一个热门的话题,多种观点相互碰撞。在过去的一二十年里,城中村的改造就意味着大规模的拆迁,彻底推倒重建,拆迁改善了生活环境,创造了财富,但导致了城市空间匀质化,同时,造成了一些社会问题,更割断了城市的历史。目前深圳市新出台的政策是通过综合整治,让城中村全面进入柔性改造的通道,鼓励在原来的用地上开展城中村的综合整治。然而新政策出台不久之后,却又发生了原住民反对综合整治,要求城市更新的情况。说明政策的转变对城中村的居民和开发企业都产生了很大的影响,“综合整治”和“拆除重建”的投入产出模型完全不同,两种模式的转变,意味着居民的诉求和企业的战略都应当做出相应的调整,在新形势下共同努力,继续探索。为此,我们选登了通过综合整治获得比较成功的水围村项目,该项目保留了城市的肌理、文脉和集体记忆,同时,也提升了消防、市政配套,及改善了生活设施。并增加空中连廊、电梯,创造出了一个符合现代标准的宜居空间立体的社区。该项目改造后,由政府返租补贴,并以低于市场的价格出租,以确保改造后的房源租金在可负担的范围内。水围村项目为城中村的改造提供了一种可能,并引发了社会各界对城中村改造的再思考,这也反映出有关城中村的争论还在继续,城中村的改造还需要不断的探索……
