This article presents a co.prehensive framewo.k fo. determining the lo.atio. o. ro.d weather info.matio. system （RWIS） statio.s o.er a regio.al ro.d netwo.k. In the pro.o.ed metho.o.o.y, the regio. is divided into.a grid o. equal-sized zo.es which are co.sidered as the minimum spatial unit fo. allo.ating a candidate set o. RWIS statio.s. These zo.es are ranked acco.ding to.a set o. pre-specified criteria that reflect the needs fo., and po.ential benefits fro., real-time RWIS, including ro.d surface temperature variability, precipitatio., netwo.k traffic, and co.lisio. patterns. A case study based o. the existing RWIS netwo.k in the pro.ince o. o.tario.was co.ducted to.illustrate the maj.0} features o. the pro.o.ed metho. and evaluate the implicatio.s o. alternative lo.a- tio. selectio. criteria. The findings o. the study suggest that it is feasible to.develo. a systematic pro.ess fo. lo.ating RWIS statio.s using an integrated lo.atio. criterio. to.capture multiple facto.s being co.sidered in prac- tice. This study aimed to.investigate po.ential methane pro.uctio. thro.gh anaero.ic co.digestio. o. rice straw and digested swine manure with different to.al *** research was carried o.t in bench scale with utilizing batch *** evaluate the stability o. anaero.ic co.digestio. pro.ess,the experiment was run in *** anaero.ic co.digestio. pro.ess was o.erated in 500 mL batch digesters under co.stant agitatio. speed and *** agitatio. speed was maintained at 270 r/*** o. the batch system was set and maintained at 35℃.Digested swine manure utilized in this experiment was o.tained fro. semi-co.tinuo.s digesters run at steady state co.ditio.,with 25 days o. hydraulic retentio. time under meso.hilic *** straw(RS)generated the highest methane pro.uctio. at 3% to.al so.ids(TS)which was aro.nd(1814±47.43)mL,where in this co.centratio.,it had C:N ratio.at 10.6:*** straw o.tained the highest methane yield at 3% TS,which was aro.nd(141.4±3.70)mL CH_(4)/g vo.atile so.ids(VS)*** straw also.had the highest chemical o.ygen demand(Co.)remo.al and VS reductio. at 3% TS which were aro.nd(52.97%±1.46%)and(61.81%±1.04%),respectively.

A co.ro.io. resistant CuNi cladding was depo.ited o. SM45C (equivalent to.AISI1045) substrate by DC inverse arc welding. During the welding pro.ess, a three channel aco.stic emissio. (AE) mo.ito.ing system was applied to.detect the crack signals generating fro. bo.h the cladding pro.ess and after cladding. Characteristics o. the welding crack signal and no.se signal had been analyzed systematically. Based o. the reco.d time o. the signal, the so.idificatio. crack and delayed crack were distinguished. By two.dimensio.al AE so.rce lo.atio., the crack po.itio. was lo.ated, and then investigated by scanning electro. micro.co.y (SEM). Results sho.ed that the AE system co.ld detect the welding crack with high sensitivity and the two.dimensio.al so.rce lo.atio. co.ld accurately determine the crack po.itio.. Micro.tructures o. the cladding and heat affected zo.e (HAZ) were examined. Dendrites in the cladding and co.rse grains in the HAZ were fo.nd.

Adverse winter weather has always been a cause o. traffic co.gestio. and ro.d *** mitigate the negative impacts o. winter weather, transpo.tatio. agencies are under increasing pressure to.intro.uce weather respo.sive traffic management ***, mo.t traffic signal co.tro. systems are designed fo. no.mal weather co.ditio.s and are therefo.e subo.timal regarding efficiency and safety fo. co.tro.ling traffic during winter sno. events due to.changes in traffic patterns and driver behavio.s. The main o.j.ctive o. this research is to.explo.e ho. to.mo.ify pre-timed traffic signal co.tro. parameters under adverse weather co.ditio.s to.increase traffic efficiency and ro.d *** research co.sists o. two.main co.po.ents. First, we examine the impacts o. winter weather o. three key traffic parameters, i.e., saturatio. flo. rate, start-up lo.t time, and free flo. speed. Seco.dly, we investigate the po.ential benefits o. implementing weatherspecific signal co.tro. plans fo. unco.rdinated intersectio.s as well as co.rdinated co.rido.s. Two.case studies are co.ducted, each with varying levels o. traffic demand and winter event severity, to.co.pare the perfo.mance o. different signal plans. Evaluatio. results fro. bo.h Synchro.and VISSIM sho. that implementing such signal plans is mo.t beneficial fo. intersectio. with a medium level o. traffic demand. It is also.fo.nd that the benefit o. implementing weather-respo.sive plans was mo.e co.pelling at a co.rdinatedco.rido. level than at an unco.rdinated-intersectio. level.
