BACKGROUNDEwing’s sarcoma is a highly malignant primary bone tumor that commonly affectschildren. For young patients, multidisciplinary treatment and limb salvage arerecommended, and surgical plans considering the growth potential and boneactivity after tumor resection are *** SUMMARYAn 11-year-old Asian boy had a 1-mo history of a right-sided limping *** revealed a proximal tumor with bone destruction and physealinvolvement over the right femoral neck. He was diagnosed with stage IV(T1N0M1aG3) Ewing’s sarcoma with bilateral lung metastases. Neoadjuvantchemotherapy decreased the tumor size and confined it to the metaphysealregion. The patient underwent four stages of surgery: wide tumor excision plusreconstruction with vascular fibular bone graft plus internal fixation;repeat openreduction and internal fixation;femoral lengthening with orthosis after physealmaturity;and orthosis removal and bone elongation (approximately 6 cm).Following surgery, he could walk without discomfort and had almost equal-sizedbilateral femoral heads, indicating physis preservation. The surgery wassuccessful, and normal femoral head growth was achieved after completeremission. The patient was able to resume normal activities with equal length ofthe bilateral lower *** treatment and reconstruction following resection are important in skeletally immature patients with Ewing’s sarcoma to improve quality of life.

Recent studies have shown the potential of artificially synthesized conduits in the repair of peripheral nerve injury. Natural biopolymers have received much attention because of their biocompatibility. To investigate the effects of novel electrospun absorbable poly(ε-caprolactone)/type Ⅰ collagen nanofiber conduits(biopolymer nanofiber conduits) on the repair of peripheral nerve injury, we bridged 10-mm-long sciatic nerve defects with electrospun absorbable biopolymer nanofiber conduits, poly(ε-caprolactone) or silicone conduits in Sprague-Dawley rats. Rat neurologica1 function was weekly evaluated using sciatic function index within8 weeks after repair. Eight weeks after repair, sciatic nerve myelin sheaths and axon morphology were observed by osmium tetroxide staining, hematoxylin-eosin staining, and transmission electron microscopy.S-100(Schwann cell marker) and CD4(inflammatory marker) immunoreactivities in sciatic nerve were detected by immunohistochemistry. In rats subjected to repair with electrospun absorbable biopolymer nanofiber conduits, no serious inflammatory reactions were observed in rat hind limbs, the morphology of myelin sheaths in the injured sciatic nerve was close to normal. CD4 immunoreactivity was obviously weaker in rats subjected to repair with electrospun absorbable biopolymer nanofiber conduits than in those subjected to repair with poly(ε-caprolactone) or silicone. Rats subjected to repair with electrospun absorbable biopolymer nanofiber conduits tended to have greater sciatic nerve function recovery than those receiving poly(ε-caprolactone) or silicone repair. These results suggest that electrospun absorbable poly(ε-caprolactone)/type Ⅰ collagen nanofiber conduits have the potential of repairing sciatic nerve defects and exhibit good biocompatibility. All experimental procedures were approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Taichung Veteran General Hospital, Taiwan, china(La-1031218) on October 2, 2014.

不系帽带,安全帽等于没戴。然而现有的安全帽检测方法,缺乏对帽带异常佩戴的检测研究。针对此问题,结合煤矿井下特殊的作业环境,以人员安全帽帽带检测及人员跟踪为研究对象,提出了CM-YOLOv8s算法检测安全帽及其帽带,利用DeepSORT算法对未系帽带的作业人员进行跟踪。利用井下监控视频制作数据集,使用CM-YOLOv8s对井下人员安全帽帽带进行检测:在YOLOv8s的基础上引入更高分辨率的特征图并新增了一种级联查询机制,在不提高计算成本的前提下能完成对小物体更精准的检测。利用改进DeepSORT对人员进行编码追踪:采用更深层卷积替换DeepSORT中小型残差网络来强化外观信息提取能力。通过自制井下安全帽帽带检测及跟踪数据集对改进算法进行验证,实验结果表明:CM-YOLOv8s的安全帽帽带识别算法平均精度均值达到92.3%,较YOLOv8s提高4.2个百分点。此外,基于CM-YOLOv8s与DeepSORT的安全帽规范佩戴识别系统的平均准确率为85.37%,检测速度达到59 FPS。提出的安全帽帽带检测算法,通过检测帽带是否在人员下颚附近来鉴别安全帽是否规范佩戴,能较好地平衡检测速度与精度,并能适应复杂的井下环境。通过在陈四楼煤矿数月的应用表明,实现了对安全帽佩戴异常的监测预警,加强了对矿工规范佩戴安全帽的有效监管。

BACKGROUND Based on the breakthrough of genomics analysis, The Cancer Genome Atlas Research Group recently proposed an integrative genomic analysis, dividing gastric cancer(GC) into four subtypes, characterized by the chromosomal instability(CIN) status. However, the CIN status of GC is still vaguely characterized and lacking the valuable easy-to-use CIN markers to diagnosis in molecular and histological *** To explore the associations of CIN with downstream lipidomics *** We collected cancerous and noncancerous tissue samples from 18 patients with GC; the samples were divided into CIN and non-CIN types based on the system of The Cancer Genome Atlas Research Group and 409 sequenced oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. We identified the lipidomics profiles of the GC samples and samples of their adjacent noncancerous tissues by using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. Furthermore, we selected leading metabolites based on variable importance in projection scores of > 1.0 and P <*** Twelve men and six women participated in this study; the participants had a median age of 67.5 years(range, 52–87 years) and were divided into CIN(n = 9)and non-CIN(n = 9) groups. The GC samples exhibited distinct profiles of lysophosphocholine, phosphocholine, phosphatidylethanolamine,phosphatidylinositol, phosphoserine, sphingomyelin, ceramide, and triglycerides compared with their adjacent noncancerous tissues. The glycerophospholipid levels(phosphocholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phosphatidylinositol)were 1.4-to 2.3-times higher in the CIN group compared with the non-CIN group(P < 0.05). Alterations in the glycerolipid and glycerophospholipid pathways indicated progression of GC toward *** The lipidomics profiles of GC samples were distinct from those of their adjacent noncancerous tissues. AIM To explore the correlation of metabolomics profiles ofgastric cancer(GC) with its chromosomal instability(CIN) *** Nineteen GC patients were classified as CIN and nonCIN type by The Cancer Genome Atlas Research Group system, based on 409 oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes sequenced. The aqueous metabolites of the GC tumor and its surrounding adjacent healthy tissues were identified through liquid chromatographymass spectrometry. Groups were compared by defining variable importance in projection score of > 1.2, a fold change value or its reciprocal of > 1.2, and a P value of < 0.05 as a significant *** In total,twelve men and seven women were enrolled, with a median age of 66 years(range, 47-87 years). The numbers of gene alterations in the CIN GC group were significantly higher than those in the non-CIN GC(32-218 vs 2-17; P < 0.0005). Compared with the adjacent healthy tissues, GC tumors demonstrated significantly higher aspartic acid, citicoline, glutamic acid, oxidized glutathione, succinyladenosine, and uridine diphosphate-Nacetylglucosamine levels, but significantly lower butyrylcarnitine, glutathione hydroxyhexanoycarnitine, inosinic acid, isovalerylcarnitine, and threonine levels(all P < 0.05). CIN tumors contained significantly higher phosphocholine and uridine 5'-monophosphate levels but significantly lower beta-citryl-L-glutamic acid levels than did non-CIN tumors(all P < 0.05). CIN GC tumors demonstrated additional altered pathways involving alanine, aspartate, and glutamate metabolism, glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism, histidine metabolism, and phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan *** Metabolomic profiles of GC tumors and the adjacent healthy tissue are distinct, and the CIN status is associated with downstream metabolic alterations in GC.

AIM:To assess the antacid effects of the tonic chinese herbal prescriptions,Si-Jun-Zi-Tang(SJZT) and Shen-ling-Bai-Zhu-San(SLBZS).METHODS:Decoctions of the tonic chinese herbal prescriptions,SJZT and SLBZS,were prepared according to chinese original *** pH of the prescription decoctions and their neutralizing effects on artif icial gastric acids were determined and compared with water and the active controls,sodium bicarbonate and colloidal aluminum phosphate.A modified model of Vatier's artificial stomach was used to determine the duration of consistent neutralization effect on artificial gastric *** neutralization capacity in vitro was determined with the titration method of Fordtran's ***:The results showed that both SJZT and SLBZS have antacid effects in *** with the water group,SJZT and SLBZS were found to possess signif icant gastric acid neutralizing *** duration for consistent neutralization of SLBZS was signif icantly longer than that of ***,SLBZS and SJZT exhibited signif icant antacid capacities compared to ***:SJZT and SLBZS were consistently active in the artificial stomach model and are suggested to have antacid effects similar to the active control drugs.

Single Channel Source Separation Using Filterbank and 2D Sparse Matrix Factorization

We present a novel approach to solve the problem of single channel source separation (SCSS) based on filterbank technique and sparse non-negative matrix two dimensional deconvolution (SNMF2D). The proposed approach does not require training information of the sources and therefore, it is highly suited for practicality of SCSS. The major problem of most existing SCSS algorithms lies in their inability to resolve the mixing ambiguity in the single channel observation. Our proposed approach tackles this difficult problem by using filterbank which decomposes the mixed signal into sub-band domain. This will result the mixture in sub-band domain to be more separable. By incorporating SNMF2D algorithm, the spectral-temporal structure of the sources can be obtained more accurately. Real time test has been conducted and it is shown that the proposed method gives high quality source separation performance.

The diversity of GISs and the wide spread availability of WWW have led to an increasing amount of research on integrating a variety of heterogeneous and autonomous GISs in a cooperative environment to construct a new generation of GIS characterizing in open architecture, distributed computation, interoperability, and extensibility. Our on going research project MADGIS (Mobile Agent based Distributed Geographic Information System) is reported, in which we propose the architecture of MADGIS to meet the requirements of integrating distributed GIS applications under Internet environment. We first describe the architecture of MADGIS, and detailed discussions focusing on the structure of client site, server site and mobile agent in MADGIS. Then we explore key techniques for MADGIS implementation.
