Application of“bioactive materials”,as a modified version of biomaterials,can optimize the response of the biological system due to their surface reactivity and formation of strong interactions with the adjacent tissue upon ***,choosing an appropriate bioactive material that suits to the application and provides the desired mechanical,physical,chemical and biological functionality,as well as understanding the aspects of biological reaction to the biomaterial,in particular immune response,it plays a key role in successful integration of the *** this review,we will discuss different bioactive materials including bioactive ceramics,polymers and composites and their applications in drug delivery and scaffold preparation in order to provide an adequate introduction to the recent *** the necessity of regulation of implant fate for higher biocompatibility,the comprehensive overview to the immune response will be reviewed with the focus on representing the cell-biomaterial interactions and more importantly,the inflammatory ***,we will also discuss about different approaches namely as immunomodulation to elicit the desired physiochemical properties and mimicking native cellular response using bioactive compounds,functionalizing the implant surface with active molecules and alteration of the surface *** better understanding of bioactive materials and their interactions with body,more novel biomaterials representing desired properties can be designed.

After encountering antigen,B-cells undergo class switch recombination(CSR)that substitutes the constant(C)μgene with Cγ,Cε,or Cα,thereby generating IgG,IgE,and IgA antibodies with new effector functions but the same antigenic specificity.1 The DNA-editing enzyme activation-induced deaminase(AID)is required for CSR by targeting specific DNA switch(S)regions preceding the C region,except Cδ.2 Sμis the donor region,while Sγ,ε,αare the acceptor *** is controlled in cis by the immunoglobulin heavy chain(IgH)3’regulatory region(3’RR).3 The 3’RR is essential to poise AID on the S acceptor *** CSR IgH,intrachromosomal interactions(schematized in Fig.1a)are found between the 3’RR and the intronic Eμenhancer.1,4 Looping allows transcriptional binding activators to enhancers to facilitate ***,CSR is only modestly influenced by Eμdeletion.5–7 During CSR,two different DNA repair pathways take place:the classical nonhomologous end joining(c-NHEJ)and the alternative end joining(A-EJ)pathways.

Objective: To check biofilm formation by Acinetobacter baumannii(A. baumannii)clinical isolates and show their susceptibility to different antibiotics and investigate a possible link between establishment of biofilm and multidrug ***: This study was performed on clinical samples collected from patients with nosocomial infections in three hospitals of Tehran. Samples were initially screened by culture and biochemical tests for the presence of different species of Acinetobacter. Identifications were further confirmed by PCR assays. Their susceptibilities to 11 antibiotics of different classes were determined by disc diffusion method according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. The ability to produce biofilm was investigated using methods: culture on Congo red agar, microtiter plate, and test tube ***: From the overall clinical samples, 156 specimens were confirmed to contain A. baumannii. The bacteria were highly resistant to most antibiotics except polymyxin *** these isolates, 10.26% were able to produce biofilms as shown on Congo red ***, the percentage of bacteria with positive biofilm in test tube, standard microtiter plate, and modified microtiter plate assays were 48.72%, 66.66%, and 73.72%, respectively. At least 92% of the biofilm forming isolates were multidrug ***: Since most of the multidrug resistant strains produce biofilm, it seems necessary to provide continuous monitoring and determination of antibiotic susceptibility of clinical A. baumannii. This would help to select the most appropriate antibiotic for treatment.

Mouse B1 B cells originate in the embryonic liver and are the major B-cell population in the peritoneal and pleural cavities.1–5 By contrast,mouse B2 B cells originate in the bone marrow and are the major B-cell population in the bone marrow,spleen,and blood.B1 and B2 B cells differ not only in their origin and locations,but also in their antigen specificity,cell surface markers,capacities for class-switch recombination(CSR)and somatic hypermutation(SHM).IgH cis-regulatory regions and,particularly,transcriptional super-enhancers are major locus regulators under both normal and pathological conditions.6,7 Important differences have been found regarding the ability of the IgH 3′regulatory region(3′RR)super-enhancer to control the B1 and B2 B-cell fate.

BACKGROUND Chromofungin(CHR:chromogranin-A 47-66)is a chromogranin-A derived peptide with anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial *** colitis(UC)is characterized by a colonic decrease of CHR and a dysregulation of dendritic CD11c+*** To investigate the association between CHR treatment and dendritic cells(DCs)-related markers in different immune compartments in *** A model of acute UC-like colitis using dextran sulphate sodium(DSS)was used in addition to biopsies collected from UC *** Intrarectal CHR treatment reduced the severity of DSS-induced colitis and was associated with a significant decrease in the expression of CD11c,CD40,CD80,CD86 and interleukin(IL)-12p40 in the inflamed colonic mucosa and CD11c,CD80,CD86 IL-6 and IL-12p40 within the mesenteric lymph nodes and the ***,CHR treatment decreased CD80 and CD86 expression markers of splenic CD11c+cells and decreased NF-κB expression in the colon and of splenic CD11c+*** vitro,CHR decreased CD40,CD80,CD86 IL-6 and IL-12p40 expression in naïve bone marrow-derived CD11c+DCs stimulated with *** studies demonstrated an impact of CHR on the NF-κB *** patients with active UC,CHR level was reduced and showed a negative linear relationship with CD11c and *** CHR has protective properties against intestinal inflammation via the regulation of DC-related markers and CD11c+*** could be a potential therapy of UC.

The reactive adsorption desulfurization of model gasoline was carried out on Ni/ZnO-HY *** Ni/ZnO-HY adsorbent was characterized by N2adsorption-desorption test(BET),X-ray diffractometry(XRD),and temperature-programmed reduction(TPR)*** test results have demonstrated that HY-zeolite is a feasible support for Ni/ZnO components used in reactive adsorption *** results of XRD and TPR analyses showed that most of nickel element was present as Ni2+species with only a small part existing as Ni3+species,and the Ni2+species had interactions with *** the conditions of this study,which specified a 50% ratio of HY-zeolite in the adsorbent,a Zn/Ni molar ratio of 10,and a reduction temperature of 400℃,the Ni/ZnO-HY adsorbent showed the best desulfurization *** sulfur capacity of Ni/ZnO-HY adsorbent could be recovered to 92.19% of the fresh one after being subjected to regeneration at 500℃,and could be maintained at 82.17% of the fresh one after 5 regeneration cycles.
