Nanotechnology as a Sustainable Approach for Achieving Sustainable Future

The nanotechnology revolution affected positively Architecture. Using nanotechnology is considered one of the most successful modern methods to achieve sustainable buildings with high functional efficiency. The discipline is Nano architecture, which uses Nanomaterials, products, or even Nano-shapes in the treatment of structure and construction. Despite the economic and urban advantages of using nanotechnology in the field of architecture and urbanism, we note that using nanotechnology is limited to some buildings uses in the city centers until now such as Administrative, commercial, educational, health, and recreational buildings or residential buildings. In spite of that, we found that nanotechnology was not used in priority buildings as “nuclear power plants” as it is considered one of the most eligible buildings to rely on nanotechnology to achieve safety, security, and functional efficiency requirements which have a great impact on advancing the movement of urban development. From this standpoint, the research recommends the necessity of following a methodology to activate the establishment of nuclear power plants with such technology to preserve the safety of construction, reduce energy consumption, conserve economic resources and reduce pollution. The research is exposed to highlight a set of case studies that used such an effective technique and conclude a group of criteria that are recommended to be followed in the implementation and construction of the Dabaa plant in Egypt to achieve a sustainable nuclear power plant. Quantitative proteomic determination of diethylstilbestrol action on prostate cancer

Diethylstilbestrol （DES） has a direct cellular mechanism inhibition on prostate cancer. Its action is independent from the oestrogen receptors and is preserved after a first-line hormonal therapy. We aimed to identify proteins involved in the direct cellular inhibition effects of DES on prostate cancer. We used a clonogenic assay to establish the median lethal concentration of DES on 22RV1 cells. 22RV1 cells were exposed to standard and DES-enriched medium. After extraction, protein expression levels were obtained by two-dimensional differential in-gel electrophoresis （2D-DIGE） and isotope labelling tags for relative and absolute quantification （iTRAQ）. Proteins of interest were analysed by quantitative RT-PCR and western blotting. The differentially regulated proteins （P〈0.01） were interrogated against a global molecular network based on the ingenuity knowledge base. The 2D-DIGE analyses revealed DES-induced expression changes for 14 proteins （〉 1.3 fold; P〈0.05）. The iTRAQ analyses allowed the identification of 895 proteins. Among these proteins, 65 had a modified expression due to DES exposure （i.e., 23 overexpressed and 42 underexpressed）. Most of these proteins were implicated in apoptosis and redox processes and had a predicted mitochondrial expression. Additionally, ingenuity pathway analysis placed the OAT and HSBP1 genes at the centre of a highly significant network. RT-PCR confirmed the overexpression of OAT （P=0.006） and HSPB1 （P=0.046）.

At this current time,data stream classification plays a key role in big data analytics due to its enormous *** of the existing classification methods used ensemble learning,which is trustworthy but these methods are not effective to face the issues of learning from imbalanced big data,it also supposes that all data are *** weakness of current methods is that it takes a long evaluation time when the target data stream contains a high number of *** main objective of this research is to develop a new method for incremental learning based on the proposed ant lion fuzzy-generative adversarial network *** proposed model is implemented in spark *** each data stream,the class output is computed at slave nodes by training a generative adversarial network with the back propagation error based on fuzzy bound *** method overcomes the limitations of existing methods as it can classify data streams that are slightly or completely unlabeled data and providing high scalability and *** results show that the proposed model outperforms stateof-the-art performance in terms of accuracy(0.861)precision(0.9328)and minimal MSE(0.0416).

Retinal degeneration is a major contributor to visual dysfunction *** it comprises several eye diseases,loss of retinal pigment epithelial(RPE)and photoreceptor cells are the major contributors to their *** therapies included diverse treatments,such as provision of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor and many survival and trophic factors that,in some cases,slow down the progression of the degeneration,but do not effectively prevent *** finding of stem cells(SC)in the eye has led to the proposal of cell replacement strategies for retina *** using different types of SC,such as retinal progenitor cells(RPCs),embryonic SC,pluripotent SCs(PSCs),induced PSCs(iPSCs),and mesenchymal stromal cells,capable of self-renewal and of differentiating into multiple cell types,have gained ample *** preclinical studies have assessed transplantation of SC in animal models,with encouraging *** aim of this work is to revise the different preclinical and clinical approaches,analyzing the SC type used,their efficacy,safety,cell attachment and integration,absence of tumor formation and immunorejection,in order to establish which were the most relevant and *** addition,we examine the questions and concerns still open in the *** data demonstrate the existence of two main approaches,aimed at replacing either RPE cells or *** evidence suggests that RPCs and iPSC are the best candidates,presenting no ethical concerns and a low risk of *** trials have already supported the safety and efficacy of SC *** concerns are pending,such as the risk of tumor formation,lack of attachment or integration of transplanted cells into host retinas,immunorejection,cell death,and also ***,the amazing progress in the field in the last few years makes it possible to envisage safe and effective treatments to restore vision loss in a near future.

BACKGROUND Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASLD),particularly in the presence of liver fibrosis,increases the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality,but the nature of the cardio-hepatic interaction in the context type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)is not fully *** To evaluate the changes in cardiac morphology and function in patients with T2DM and MASLD-associated liver *** T2DM patients with MASLD underwent a medical evaluation that included an assessment of lifestyle,anthropometric measurements,vital signs,an extensive laboratory panel,and a standard *** fibrosis was evaluated using two scores[Fibrosis-4(FIB4)and Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease-Fibrosis Score(NFS)],and subjects were classified as having advanced fibrosis,no fibrosis,or an indeterminate *** correlations between structural and functional cardiac parameters and markers of liver fibrosis were evaluated through bivariate and multiple regression *** significance was set at P<*** Data from 267 T2DM-MASLD subjects with complete assessment was *** with scores indicating advanced fibrosis exhibited higher interventricular septum and left ventricular(LV)posterior wall thickness,atrial diameters,LV end-systolic volume,LV mass index(LVMi),and epicardial adipose tissue thickness(EATT).Their mean ejection fraction(EF)was significantly lower(49.19%±5.62%vs 50.87%±5.14%vs 52.00%±3.25%;P=0.003),and a smaller proportion had an EF≥50%(49.40%vs 68.90%vs 84.21%;P=0.0017).Their total and mid LV wall motion score indexes were higher(P<0.05).Additionally,they had markers of diastolic dysfunction,with a higher E/e’ratio[9.64±4.10 vs 8.44(2.43-26.33)vs 7.35±2.62;P=0.026],and over 70%had lateral e’values<10 cm/second,though without significant differences between *** multiple regression analyses,FIB4 correlated with left atrium diameter(LAD;β=0.044;P<0.05),and NFS with both LAD(β=0.039;P<0.05)and right

Background： In order to improve ICSI, appropiate sperm selection and oocyte activation is necessary. The objective of the present study was to determine the efficiency of fertilization using ICSI with chemically activated ovine oocytes and sperm selected by swim up（SU） or swim up ＋ zona pellucida（SU ＋ ZP） ***： Experiment 1, 4–20 replicates with total 821 in vitro matured oocytes were chemically activated with ethanol, calcium ionophore or ionomycin, to determine oocyte activation（precense of one PN）. Treatments showed similar results（54, 47, 42 %, respectively） but statistically differents（P 0.05）.Conclusions： Chemical activation induces higher ovine oocyte activation than mechanical activation. Ethanol slightly displays higher oocyte activation than calcium ionophore and ionomicine. Sperm selection with SU ＋ ZP increased AR/A and AR/D rates in comparison with SU in fresh and frozen-thawed sperm. According to this, in terms of fertilization rates, chemical activation after ICSI increased oocyte PN formation compared to mechanical activation. Also, fresh sperm treated with SU and SU ＋ ZP were significantly different than frozen-thawed sperm,but between sperm treatments no significant differences were obtained.

Sex ratio of mirid populations shifts in response to hostplant co-infestation or altered cytokinin signaling

Herbivore species sharing a host plant often compete. In this study, we show that host plant-mediated interaction between two insect herbivores-a generalist and a specialist-results in a sex ratio shift of the specialist＇s offspring. We studied demographic parameters of the specialist Tupiocoris notatus（Hemiptera： Miridae）when co-infesting the host plant Nicotiana attenuata（Solanaceae） with the generalist leafhopper Empoasca sp.（Hemiptera： Cicadellidae）. We show that the usually female-biased sex ratio of T. notatus shifts toward a higher male proportion in the offspring on plants coinfested by Empoasca sp. This sex ratio change did not occur after oviposition, nor is it due differential mortality of female and male nymphs. Based on pyrosequencing and PCR of bacterial 16 S rRNA amplicons, we concluded that sex ratio shifts were unlikely to be due to infection with Wolbachia or other known sex ratio-distorting endosymbionts. Finally, we used transgenic lines of *** to evaluate if the sex ratio shift could be mediated by changes in general or specialized host plant metabolites. We found that the sex ratio shift occurred on plants deficient in two cytokinin receptors（irCHK2/3）.Thus, cytokinin-regulated traits can alter the offspring sex ratio of the specialist ***.
