Friction stir welding （FSW） was performed on 2024-T351 aluminum alloy plates. metallographic analysis, Vickers microhardness and XRD tests were conducted to determine the properties of the welded zone. FE simulation of the FSW process was implemented for the different welding conditions to extract the residual stress and stress intensity factor （SIF）. Fracture and fatigue behaviors of the welds which have the initial crack in the nugget zone and the crack orientation along the welding direction, were studied based on standard test methods. Fracture behavior of the welds was also evaluated by shearography method. The results showed that the tool rotational and traverse speeds affect the fracture toughness and fatigue crack growth rate. FSW provides 18%-49% reductions in maximum fracture load and fracture toughness. A slight diminution in fracture toughness of the joints was observed for lower traverse speed of the tool, and at higher traverse or rotational speeds, increasing the probability of defects may contribute to low fracture toughness. Fatigue crack propagation rate of all welds was slower than that of the base metal for low values of stress intensity factor range ΔK （ΔK〈13 mPa·m^1/2）, but is much faster for high values of ΔK.

The design and execution of large-scale housing projects always have negative environmental impacts in terms of excessive consumption of non-renewable energy resources and environmental pollution. These negative impacts are multiplied in the case of large-scale housing projects where a large number of standardized units are implemented in a repeated manner. This proposed paper will study and evaluate the environmental impacts of large-scale housing projects according to criteria of environmental design. The case study project is Haram City that is a housing project for small low-income families. The project consists of 50,000 housing units and is located in 6th of October City, which has a hot dry desert climate that necessitates special design considerations and applications of environmental design concepts. The project will be analyzed and evaluated in terms of site layout, design of buildings, orientation, materials used, construction techniques, thermal behavior, landscaping, etc.

Nowadays,the security of images or information is very *** paper introduces a proposed hybrid watermarking and encryption technique for increasing medical image ***,the secret medical image is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)***,the secret report of the patient is embedded into the encrypted secret medical image with the Least Signiﬁcant Bit(LSB)watermarking *** that,the encrypted secret medical image with the secret report is concealed in a cover medical image,using Kekre’s median Codebook Generation(KmCG)***,the stego-image obtained is split into 16 ***,it is sent to the *** adopt this strategy to send the secret medical image and report over a network *** proposed technique is assessed with different encryption quality metrics including Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Correlation Coefﬁcient(Cr),Fea-ture Similarity Index metric(FSIm),and Structural Similarity Index metric(SSIm).Histogram estimation is used to conﬁrm the matching between the secret medical image before and after *** results demonstrate that the proposed technique achieves good performance with high quality of the received medical image and clear image details in a very short processing time.

Software reverse engineering is the process of analyzing a software system to extract the design and implementation *** engineering provides the source code of an application,the insight view of the architecture and the third-party *** a security perspective,it is mostly used for finding vulnerabilities and attacking or cracking an *** process is carried out either by obtaining the code in plaintext or reading it through the binaries or ***,reverse engineering is widely used for mobile applications and is considered a security *** Open Web Application Security Project(OWASP),a leading security research forum,has included reverse engineering in its top 10 list of mobile application *** applications are used in many sectors,e.g.,banking,education,*** particular,the banking applications are critical in terms of security as they are used for financial transactions.A security breach of such applications can result in huge financial losses for the customers as well as the *** exist various tools for reverse engineering of mobile applications,however,they have deficiencies,e.g.,complex configurations,lack of detailed analysis *** this research work,we perform an analysis of the available tools for reverse engineering of mobile *** dataset consists of the mobile banking applications of the banks providing services in *** results indicate that none of the existing tools can carry out the complete reverse engineering process as a standalone *** addition,we observe significant differences in terms of the execution time and the number of files generated by each tool for the same file.

Oil palm ash(OPA)is an agro-industry waste and it has disposable *** the present study,an effort was made for value addition to OPA by incorporating it as a micro-filler in different concentration(0,10,20,30,40,and 50%)and sizes(100,200,and 300 mesh size particles)in the epoxy *** micro OPA was having a crystallinity index of 65.4%,high inorganic elements,and smooth surface *** composites had higher void content as compared to neat epoxy *** properties of fabricated composites had a maximum value at 30%loading of 300 mesh-size filler due to its low void content and size as compared to filler of 100 and 200 mesh *** increase in the concentration of OPA filler after 30 wt%of loading leads to the agglomeration of OPA microparticles and thereby resulted in the reduction of mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength,tensile modulus,flexural strength and flexural modulus of the ***,elongation at break decreased with increase in filler content at all *** stability and char residue percentage of composite increased with the concentration of filler at all *** morphology of composite showed that OPA incorporation lead towards its roughness and cracks were originated from the site of OPA embedded in the epoxy *** 300 mesh-size particles were having the best effect on composite as compared to 100 and 200 mesh-size filler.

Determination of sodium hyaluronate in pharmaceutical formulations by HPLC–UV

A liquid chromatography （HPLC） method with UV detection was developed for determination of sodium hyaluronate in pharmaceutical formulation. Sodium hyaluronate is a polymer of disaccharides, composed of D-glucuronic acid and D-N-acetylglucosamine, linked via alternating 13-1, 4 and D-l, 3 glycosidic bonds. Being a polymer compound it lacks a UV absorbing chromophore. In the absence of a UV absorbing chromophore and highly polar nature of compound, the analysis becomes a major challenge. To overcome these problems a novel method for the determination of sodium hyaluronate was developed and validated based on size exclusion liquid chromatography （SEC） with UV detection. An isocratic mobile phase consisting of buffer 0.05 m potassium dihydrogen phosphate, pH adjusted to 7.0 using potassium hydroxide （10%） was used. Chromatography was carried out at 25 ~C on a BioSep SEC $2000, 300 mm ~ 7.8 mm column. The detection was carded out using variable wavelength UV-vis detector set at 205 nm. The compounds were eluted isocratically at a steady flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. Sodium hyaluronate retention time was about 4.9 min with an asymmetry factor of 1.93. A calibration curve was obtained from 1 to 38 g/mL （r〉0.9998）. Within-day % RSD was 1.0 and between-day % RSD was 1.10. Specificity/selectivity experiments revealed the absence of interference from excipients, recovery from spiked samples for sodium hyaluronate was 99-102. The developed method was applied to the determination of sodium hyaluronate in pharmaceutical drug substance and product.

Aim:Post-operative protocols following lower limb free flap surgery are not well defined,with a lack of consensus in the literature around limb dependency and weight *** aim was to compare the complication rate for lower limb free flaps before and after the introduction of an enhanced lower limb free flap protocol with earlier dangling(day 3 *** 4)and weight bearing(day 5 *** 14)post lower limb free flap ***:All lower limb free flaps between June 2020-January 2022 were identified from a departmental flap *** data were collected from the comprehensive lower limb free flap database,medical notes,and electronic *** prescribed an extended non-weight-bearing period due to the method of bone fixation were ***:A total of 37 patients,15 pre-and 22 post-enhanced protocol,were identified for *** mean age was 43(17-72)with a m:F of 3:*** was no difference in the type of flap reconstruction between groups,with the anterolateral thigh flap being the most common in both *** differences were identified in the number of complications related to dependency/weight bearing before and after the introduction of the enhanced protocol,with the mean length of stay reduced from 12.1 to 10.6 days(P=0.34).Conclusion:The new enhanced protocol remains the standard of care in our unit,as we demonstrated a reduction in length of stay with no difference in complication rates following early weight bearing after lower limb free flap surgery.

AIm： TO establish a cell culture system with longterm replication of hepatitis C virus （HCV） genome and expression of viral antigens in vitro. mETHODS： HepG2 cell line was tested for its susceptibility to HCV by incubation with a serum from a patient with chronic hepatitis C. Cells and supernatant were harvested at various time points during the culture. Culture supernatant was tested for its ability to infect na＇ive cells. The presence of minus （antisense） RNA strand, and the detection of core and E1 antigens in cells were examined by RT-PCR and immunological techniques （flow cytometry and Western blot） respectively. RESULTS： The intracellular HCV RNA was first detected on d 3 after infection and then could be consistently detected in both cells and supernatant over a period of at least three months. The fresh cells could be infected with supernatant from cultured infected cells. Flow cytometric analysis showed surface and intracellular HCV antigen expression using in house made polyclonal antibodies （anti-core, and anti-E1）. Western blot analysis showed the expression of a cluster of immunogenic peptides at molecular weights extended between 31 and 45 kDa in an one month old culture of infected cells whereas this cluster was undetectable in uninfected HepG2 cells. CONCLUSION： HepG2 cell line is not only susceptible to HCV infection but also supports its replication in vitro. Expression of HCV structural proteins can be detected in infected HepG2 cells. These cells are also capable of shedding viral particles into culture media which in turn become infectious to uninfected cells.

Objective: To study the effect of citric acid given alone or combined with atropine on brain oxidative stress, neuronal injury, liver damage, and DNA damage of peripheral blood lymphocytes induced in the rat by acute malathion exposure. methods: Rats were received intraperitoneal(i.p.) injection of malathion 150 mg/kg along with citric acid(200 or 400 mg/kg, orally), atropine(1 mg/kg, i.p.) or citric acid 200 mg/kg+atropine 1 mg/kg and euthanized 4 h later. Results: malathion resulted in increased lipid peroxidation(malondialdehyde) and nitric oxide concentrations accompanied with a decrease in brain reduced glutathione, glutathione peroxidase(GPx) activity, total antioxidant capacity(TAC) and glucose concentrations. Paraoxonase-1, acetylcholinesterase(ACh E) and butyrylcholinesterase activities decreased in brain as well. Liver aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activities were raised. The Comet assay showed increased DNA damage of peripheral blood lymphocytes. Histological damage and increased expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS) were observed in brain and liver. Citric acid resulted in decreased brain lipid peroxidation and nitric oxide. meanwhile, glutathione, GPx activity, TAC capacity and brain glucose level increased. Brain ACh E increased but PON1 and butyrylcholinesterase activities decreased by citric acid. Liver enzymes, the percentage of damaged blood lymphocytes, histopathological alterations and i NOS expression in brain and liver was decreased by citric acid. meanwhile, rats treated with atropine showed decreased brain mDA, nitrite but increased GPx activity, TAC, ACh E and glucose. The drug also decreased DNA damage of peripheral blood lymphocytes, histopathological alterations and i NOS expression in brain and liver. Conclusions: The study demonstrates a beneficial effect for citric acid upon brain oxidative stress, neuronal injury, liver and DNA damage due to acute malathion exposure.
