The current study was perf.rm.d to evaluate the liver f.nction status as well as m.lecular characterization of.the recovered worm. in rats experim.ntally inf.cted with f. hepatica. Sixteen m.le Wister rats aged 30 days were random.y allocated into two groups (n = 8). The f.rst group was inf.cted orally with 15 viable encysted m.tacercaria of.f. hepatica per anim.l. The other group was kept non-inf.cted (control group). At zero tim. (bef.re inf.ction), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th weeks post-inf.ction (WPI), blood and serum.sam.les were collected via puncture of.retro-orbital plexus of.veins f.om.each rat. Serum.enzym. level (AST and ALT) and total protein were m.asured, and the serum.protein prof.le was carried out using agarose gel electrophoresis. During the period of.the experim.nt, serum.ALT and AST activities and serum.total globulins signif.cantly increased while serum.total proteins and album.n m.rkedly decreased in the inf.cted group. On the 14th WPI, the data of.the electropherogram.showed that globulin f.actions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were signif.cantly increased while α2-globulin was m.rkedly decreased in the inf.cted group. The m.lecular analysis conf.rm.d the am.lif.cation of.the ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of.f. hepatica recovered f.om.the inf.cted liver of.rats with am.licon sizes of.630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of.the am.lif.ed ITS gene resulted in the determ.nation of.3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of.the ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under the accession num.ers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, f.sciolosis in the rat m.del is suitable f.r routine experim.ntal inf.ctions and caused a pronounced liver dysf.nction with discharging of.the f.sciola eggs in the f.eces and the developm.nt of.adult stages in the bile ducts. f.rtherm.re, m.lecular techniques are a sensitive

The aim.of.the present study was to determ.ne the prevalence of.bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buf.loas, in Egypt and to assess the cysticidal ef.icacy of.Balanites aegyptiaca f.uits (B. aegyptiaca) and m.ringa oleif.ra seeds (m. oleif.ra) extracts in experim.ntally inf.cted m.ce. The study detected the level of.tum.r necrosis f.ctor (TNf.α) to m.nitor the im.une and inf.am.atory responses of.experim.ntally inf.cted m.ce. Through m.at inspection, a total num.er of.2125 m.le bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buf.loes) were exam.ned under the authority of.Albsatine and Alwaraq of.icial abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended f.om.m.rch 2022 to April 2023. The overall prevalence of.the disease am.ng bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of.cattle and 9.5% of.buf.loes). Besides, B. aegyptiaca and m. oleif.ra extracts showed cysticidal activity in experim.ntally inf.cted m.ce. A decrease in the num.ers of.cysticerci was f.und in all treated m.ce groups, and up to 88% reduction was achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that was recorded in both m. oleif.ra (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). Postm.rtem.f.ndings proved that m. oleif.ra and B. aegyptiaca reduced cysticerci num.ers com.arable to a com.ercial anthelm.ntic. The study showed a signif.cant decrease (P 0.001) in TNf.α levels af.er treatm.nt with Balanites and m.ringa extracts, com.ared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.

Background: Vaccinations f.r anim.ls are crucial f.r f.od production, anim.l welf.re, public health, and anim.l health. They are an af.ordable way to stop anim.l sickness, increase f.od production ef.iciency, and lessen or stop the spread of.zoonotic diseases to hum.ns. Anim.l vaccines that are both saf. and ef.icacious are vital to m.dern culture. The vaccine should induce a strong, protective and prolonged im.une response against the antigenic f.ctor. In order to achieve these goals, novel vaccination techniques and an ef.icient adjuvant are required to render the vaccine im.unogenically protective and trigger a strong im.une response. Aim. Our study aim. to prom.te and enhance the im.unogenicity against RVf.virus disease through lyophilized inactivated RVf.vaccine through induction of.early cellular, high and prolonged hum.ral im.unity in vaccinated anim.ls using cabopol as stabilizer and Saponin or norm.l saline as a diluent at tim. of.vaccination. m.reover, m.nuf.cturing of.these vaccines is easy to be done. Results: The gained results revealed that RVf.f.eeze-dried vaccine with Carbopol that reconstituted using Saponin elicited better im.une response than that reconstituted using norm.l saline (NaCl). The cell m.diated im.une response as represented by lym.hocyte blastogenesis and phagocytic activity were m.rkedly increased with high levels when we used Saponin as a diluent than that in group vaccinated with vaccine diluted with NaCl, on the other side the hum.ral im.une response in group vaccinated using the Saponin as diluent is m.re detected and stayed within the protective level till the end of.11th m.nth post vaccination (1.5 TCID50) while the im.une response induced af.er using norm.l saline as a diluent stayed within the protective level till the end of.10th m.nth post vaccination (1.8 TCID50). In this study,green zinc oxide(ZnO)/polypyrrole(Ppy)/cellulose acetate(CA)f.lm.has been synthesized via solvent *** f.lm.was used as supporting m.terial f.r glucose oxidase(GOx)to sensitize a glucose *** nanoparticles have been prepared via the green route using olive leaves extract as a ***/Ppy nanocom.osite has been synthesized by a sim.le in-situ chem.cal oxidative polym.rization of.pyrrole(Py)m.nom.r using f.rric chloride(f.Cl3)as an oxidizing *** produced m.terials and the com.osite f.lm. were characterized using X-ray dif.raction analysis(XRD),scanning electron m.croscope(SEm.,f.urier transf.rm.inf.ared(f.IR)and therm.gravim.tric analysis(TGA).Glucose oxidase was successf.lly im.obilized on the surf.ce of.the prepared f.lm.and then ZnO/Ppy/CA/GOx com.osite was sputtered with platinum.electrode f.r the current determ.nation at dif.erent initial concentrations of.*** m.asurem.nts proved the suitability and the high sensitivity of.the constructed biosensor f.r the detection of.glucose levels in dif.erent *** perf.rm.nce of.the prepared biosensor has been assessed by m.asuring and com.aring glucose concentrations up to 800 *** results af.irm.d the reliability of.the developed biosensor towards real sam.les which suggests the wide-scale application of.the proposed biosensor.

In recent decades,the im.ortance of.surf.ce acoustic waves,as a biocom.atible tool to integrate with m.crof.uidics,has been proven in various m.dical and biological *** num.rical m.deling of.acoustic stream.ng caused by surf.ce acoustic waves in m.crochannels requires the ef.ect of.viscosity to be considered in the equations which com.licates the *** this paper,it is shown that the m.jor contribution of.viscosity and the horizontal com.onent of.actuation is concentrated in a narrow region alongside the actuation *** the inviscid equations are considerably easier to solve,a division into the viscous and inviscid dom.ins would alleviate the com.utational load *** particles'traces calculated by this approxim.tion are excellently alongside their counterparts f.om.the com.letely viscous *** is also shown that the optim.m.thickness f.r the viscous strip is about 9-f.ld the acoustic boundary layer thickness f.r various f.ow patterns and am.litudes of.actuation.

Ef.ects of.Supplem.ntal Glutam.ne and Lysine on Growth Perf.rm.nce of.Broiler Chickens

The optim.m.levels of.Lysine and Glutam.ne needed f.r growth perf.rm.nce and m.intenance of.the chicken broilers were evaluated in a random.zed 3 × 4 f.ctorial arrangem.nt of.dietary treatm.nts. The battery cages m.asured 99 × 66 × 25 cm.that can be suf.icient f.r 5 birds. Day old Chicken broilers totaling 180 were assigned to dietary treatm.nts com.rising of.3 concentrations of.Lysine (0.85, 1.14, and 1.42) each in com.ination with 4 concentrations of.Glutam.ne (0, 1, 2, and 3). Each dietary treatm.nt was replicated 3 tim.s and each replication had 5 birds. The birds were given f.ed and water ad libitum.with a 23-hour light regim.n f.r a period of.4 weeks. Then, the experim.ntal birds were evaluated f.r body weight gain, f.ed consum.tion, and f.ed conversion in order to determ.ne their optim.m.requirem.nt f.r dietary Lysine and Glutam.ne. Based on the f.ndings of.this study, the highest perf.rm.nce was observed in birds f.d the diet supplem.nted with 1.42 lysine and 1% glutam.ne, but the highest im.rovem.nt in f.ed conversion was observed in diet contain 1.14 and 1.42 with 1% and 3% glutam.ne, respectively. Birds f.d 1.42 lysine and 1% glutam.ne had the highest total body weight gain and f.ed consum.tion. The lysine requirem.nts in the diet f.r Chicken are between 1.14 and 1.42 with glutam.ne level of.1%.

In m.st f.rm.ng system. newly introduced com.ercial f.rtilizers to be accepted, adopted and used by f.rm.rs, their ef.ectiveness and appropriate application rates m.st be exhibited. This study was conducted to validate the ef.ect and rates of.a bio-f.rtilizer (super agric) on oil palm.seedling growth. The trial was laid out in a random.zed com.lete block design (RCBD) with three application rates of.0, 4 and 8 m./L of.water (treatm.nts) replicated thrice. f.llowing the application of.super agric to oil palm.seedlings f.r a period of.six m.nths, observations drawn f.om.the analysis of.growth data were as f.llows: Three m.nths af.er treatm.nt, super agric signif.cantly (P f.oil palm.seedling com.ared to those which were not applied with super agric. The results also showed that when super agric was applied at a rate of.4 m./L, the leaf.length and breadth were higher com.ared to the control were super agric was not used. f.rtherm.re, applications of.super agric im.roved oil palm.seedling nitrogen uptake by 31% in treatm.nt groups as com.ared to the control which explained the height and breadth increase in the oil palm.seedlings that were applied with super agric. On the other hand, the ef.ect of.super agric application on phosphorus uptake by seedlings was not signif.cant. Although the height, breadth, leaf.width and length were all signif.cantly af.ected by super agric application, the num.er of.oil palm.leaves and spears were not af.ected f.r the period the experim.nt was conducted. Six m.nths af.er application of.super agric the growth of.oil palm.seedlings was f.vorably im.acted, hence we recom.end super agric to be prom.ted am.ng oil palm.seedling growers.

A Rare Case of.Aortic Valve Endocarditis and Acute m.ningitis Due to Haem.philus inf.uenzae

HACEK organism. represent a rare but im.ortant group of.causative pathogens in endocarditis. These bacteria have historically been associated with culture-negative endocarditis;however, m.dern laboratory techniques have m.de this less com.on. In this case, we present a 74-year-old m.n who presented with acute onset altered m.ntation, f.ver, and sepsis. He was ultim.tely f.und to have Haem.philus inf.uenzae m.ningitis, cerebral em.yem., aortic valve endocarditis, psoas m.ositis, and L2 - L3 diskitis with osteom.elitis. Although HACEK organism. are com.only f.und in the oropharynx and upper respiratory tract in hum.ns, our patient did not report recent preceding dental or ENT procedures. H. inf.uenzae is responsible f.r approxim.tely 0.16% of.all cases of.bacterial endocarditis, representing a very lim.ted subset. Although generally considered low virulent pathogens, this case dem.nstrates the unusual extent of.inf.ction f.om.a HACEK organism. H. inf.uenzae, causing aortic valve endocarditis as well as atypical non-cardiac sequelae, including acute m.ningitis.
