A micro- and mesoporous carbon obtained from cherry pit waste and activated with HBPO4 acid has been studied as the sulfur host for Li/S batteries. The carbon has a high specific surface area of 1,662 m2·g-1 （SBET） and micropore and mesopore volumes of 0.57 and 0.40 cm3·g-1, respectively. The S/C composite, with a sulfur content of 57% deposited by the disproportionate reaction of a SaO2- solution in an acid medium without an additional heating step above the S melting point, delivers an initial specific capacity of 1,148 mah·g-1 at a current of C/16. It also has a high capacity retention of 915 mAh·g-1 after 100 cycles and a Coulombic efficiency close to 100%. The good performance of the composite was also observed under higher current rates and long-term cycling tests. The capacities delivered by the cell after 200 cycles were 707 and 410 mAh·g-1 at C/2 and 1C （1C = 1,675 mA·g-1）, respectively, maintaining the high Coulombic efficiency. The overall electrochemical response of this carbon as the sulfur matrix is among the best reported so far among the other biomass-derived carbons, probably because of the micro- and mesopore system formed upon activation.

The K/HDEL receptor ERD2 mediates the transport of soluble endoplasmic reticulum （ER）-resident proteins containing a C-terminal K/HDEL signal from the Golgi apparatus back to the ER via COPI （COat Protein I）-coated vesicles. Sorting of ERD2 within COPI vesicles is facilitated by p24 proteins. In Arabidop- sis, p24δ5 has been shown to interact directly with ERD2 via its luminal GOLD （GOLgi Dynamics） domain and with COPI proteins via its cytoplasmic C-terminal tail at the acidic pH of the Golgi apparatus. Several members of the p24 family in mammals and yeast have been shown to be glycosylated, but whether Arabidopsis p24 proteins are glycosylated and the role of the sugar moiety in p24 function remain unclear. Here, we show that Arabidopsis p24δ5 protein is N-glycosylated in its GOLD domain. Furthermore, we demonstrate that this post-translational modification is important for its coupled transport with p241β2 at the ER-Golgi interface, for its interaction with the K/HDEL receptor ERD2, and for retrograde transport of ERD2 and K/HDEL ligands from the Golgi apparatus back to the ER.

We investigate the geology of Altar North(Cu-Au) and Quebrada de la Mina(Au) porphyry deposits located in San Juan Province(Argentina), close to the large Altar porphyry copper deposit(995 Mt,0.35% Cu, 0.083 g/t Au), to present constraints on the magmatic processes that occurred in the parental magma chambers of these magmatic-hydrothermal systems. Altar North deposit comprises a plagioclase-amphibole-phyric dacite intrusion(Altar North barren porphyry) and a plagioclaseamphibole-biotite-phyric dacite stock(Altar North mineralized porphyry, 11.98 ± 0.19 Ma). In Quebrada de la Mina, a plagioclase-amphibole-biotite-quartz-phyric dacite stock(QDM porphyry,11.91±0.33 Ma) crops out. High Sr/Y ratios(92-142) and amphibole compositions of Altar North barren and QDM porphyries reflect high magmatic oxidation states(fO_2= NNO+1.1 to+1.6) and high fH_2O conditions in their magmas. Zones and rims enriched in anorthite(An_(37-48))), SrO(0.22-0.33 wt.%)and FeO(0.21-0.37 wt.%) in plagioclase phenocrysts are evidences of magmatic recharge processes in the magma chambers. Altar North and Quebrada de la Mina intrusions have relatively homogeneous isotopic compositions(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr_(t)= 0.70450-0.70466, ε_(ND)(t) = +0.2 to +1.2) consistent with mixed mantle and crust contributions in their magmas. Higher Pb isotopes ratios(^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb=15.6276-15.6294) of these intrusions compared to other porphyries of the district, reflect an increase in the assimilation of high radiogenic Pb components in the magmas. Ages of zircon xenocrysts(297,210,204,69 Ma) revealed that the magmas have experienced assimilation of Miocene, Cretaceous, Triassic and Carboniferous crustal *** that precipitated sulfides in the Altar deposit may have remobilized Pb from the host rocks, as indicated by the ore minerals being more radiogenic(207Pb/204 Pb = 15.6243-15.6269) than their host intrusions. The ability of plants to safely retain seeds in the mother plant is an adaptive mechanism described in many desert ***,research about delayed seed dispersal species in the desert of the United Arab Emirates(UAE)is *** study aims to identify these delayed seed dispersal species and assess the relationships of the presence of delayed seed dispersal with plant growth form,habit,spatial dispersal,antitelechoric mechanism,and seed release *** relationships between the presence of delayed seed dispersal and the above studied traits were assessed by using the Pearson Chi-square test and Nonlinear Principal Components Analysis(NLPCA).Results showed that a total of 46 delayed seed dispersal species were recorded(15.0%of 307 studied species)and the highest incidence occurred in the Fabaceae family(17.4%).Delayed seed dispersal species were predominantly perennial plants(73.9%)with spatial restricted dispersal(67.4%),which released seed in the dry season(45.7%).The dominant groups of delayed seed dispersal species were persistent fruits species and synaptospermy(28.3%).All graminoids showed persistent lignified fruits,while prostrate annuals were basicarpic species with *** habitats had the highest number of delayed seed dispersal species(54.3%),whereas salt flats had the lowest(23.9%).In the desert of the UAE,delayed seed dispersal species spread seeds until the end of the dry and windy season,thus breaking seed dormancy at this time and ensuring seed germination in the next arrival of the rainy *** morphological and ecological adaptation of delayed dispersal species is essential to the survival and sustainable development of vegetation in desert environments.

In this paper, the effect of the addition of whole chia flour and water at cooked fish burgers on yield, water and fat retention, n-3 fatty acids content and oxidative stability were studied. The results showed that 94% of yield, 92% of water retention and 97% of fat retention were achieved with the addition of 5.92 g of whole chia flour and 15 g of water per 100 g of burger. The n-3 fatty content increased from 704.57 ± 21.66 mg to 1551.71 ± 47.71 mg/100g of cooked burger when the chia flour was added, enhancing nutritional quality indices of lipid. A good oxidative stability, with minimum formation of conjugated dienes, hydroperoxides and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances during 30 days frozen storage was obtained too, probably due to the presence of polyphenolic compounds with antiradical activity and reducing power in the fibrous fraction of the flour chia. The results from the present study highlight remarkable technological applications of whole chia flour as food ingredient in the design of healthier fish meat commodities.

AIM: To evaluate variation of the concentration of thiopurine metabolites after 5-aminosalicylate(5-ASA) interruption and the role of genetic polymorphisms of N-acetyl transferase(NAT) 1 and 2. METHODS: Concentrations of thioguanine nucleotides(TGN) and methymercaptopurine nucleotides(MMPN), metabolites of thiopurines, were measured by high performance liquid chromatography in 12 young patients(3 females and 9 males, median age 16 years) with inflammatory bowel disease(6 Crohn's disease and 6 ulcerative colitis) treated with thiopurines(7 mercaptopurine and 5 azathioprine) and 5-ASA. Blood samples were collected one month before and one month after the interruption of 5-ASA. DNA was extracted and genotyping of NAT1, NAT2, inosine triphosphate pyrophosphatase(ITPA) and thiopurine methyl transferase(TPMT) genes was performed using PCR assays. RESULTS: Median TGN concentration before 5-ASA interruption was 270 pmol/8 x 108 erythrocytes(range: 145-750); after the interruption of the aminosalicylate, a 35% reduction in TGN mean concentrations(absolutemean reduction 109 pmol/8 × 108 erythrocytes) was observed(median 221 pmol/8 × 108 erythrocytes, range: 96-427, P value linear mixed effects model 0.0011). Demographic and clinical covariates were not related to thiopurine metabolites concentrations. All patients were wild-type for the most relevant ITPA and TPMT variants. For NAT1 genotyping, 7 subjects presented an allele combination corresponding to fast enzymatic activity and 5 to slow activity. NAT1 genotypes corresponding to fast enzymatic activity were associated with reduced TGN concentration(P value linear mixed effects model 0.033), putatively because of increased 5-ASA inactivation and consequent reduced inhibition of thiopurine metabolism. The effect of NAT1 status on TGN seems to be persistent even after one month since the interruption of the aminosalicylate. No effect of NAT1 genotypes was shown on MMPN concentrations. 本文致力于分析中国工会现状、角色及其相关举措。本文着力于分析两类不同工作人员:建筑工地上的外来务工人员以及就职于科技公司的办公室上班族。鉴于此两类工作人员作为劳动市场上两极化的区块地位,比较来源于此两个组别的相关结果非常有意义。驱使我选择这一主题作为硕士毕业论文研究课题的主要原因是关于业已存在的中国工会结构的一系列讨论,当与其他国家(尤其是西方国家)的工会比较时,二者之间的差异尤其巨大且明显。中国的工会主要职能在于与政府协作,建立并维持参与雇佣劳动关系各方之间的良好关系---这一特征已被广泛讨论,其争论点主要在于,如果工会依赖于政府,工会成员的利益是否能被此种形态代表并实现?在完成相关研究后,我们可以发现,针对中国现阶段国情,工会与政府合作共生这一模式被证明是更加有效率的。并且,工会对劳动市场所产生的影响及其有利结果无疑是被低估了的。此文另一目的在于记录中国工会发生的积极变革,展现其在改善工作环境、稳定雇佣关系及提高工人生活水准等方面做出的贡献。对任何社会来说,工会在平衡雇佣关系中各方利益及稳定劳动力市场方面都有非常重要的作用,然而在中国,这一领域现阶段重要的特征之一就是劳动市场各要素的瞬息万变。因此,工会尝试各种创新及调整自身角色的一系列行为也都显得合情合理,并且确立其社会角色也是工会工作进程中的关键环节,其重要性不应被劳动市场中的各方低估。在此议题中,本文讨论了工会应如何深化其角色及工会向更加全社会导向的方向转变,而不是仅仅聚焦于提高待遇等方面。此外,工会不应仅仅存在于工厂/单位中。此前由于种种因素被忽略的另外一个群体---办公室上班族正在成为劳动力市场的主流,而工会也应着力于为此群体发声,例如私企员工。此项研究取材于于调研上海这样一个集多文化熔炉及金融中心职能于一体的大都市的工人群体。研究过程主要采取面对面采访的形式,获取劳动者们对于工会作用及存在怎样问题的相关观点。通过着一些列信息,我们可以客观地评估工会是否发挥了其职能帮助了劳动者;如果没有,哪些方面可以针对性地进行提高。工会作为劳动力市场双方“传译者”的角色非常重要,劳动者们对于工会的观点对于工会的发展意义重大。如果劳动者失去了对工会的信任,则其所有努力都会付诸东流。本文用一整张的篇幅讨论工会对于工人生活的各方面应有的贡献。就外来务工人员而言,文化生活是这一群体在工作地点及日常工作外的主要需求。外来务工人员缺乏必要的文化生活在某些情况下可能导致外来务工群体遭受歧视的境遇,并带来之后更大的一系列问题,如社会割裂加剧。除此以外,外来务工人员在工作内遇到的最大问题之一是薪水的拖欠。针对这个问题,政府及工会投入了诸多精力,并大大减少了这一现象存在。谈到办公室上班族群体,访谈结果展现给了我们一副完全不同的图景。上班族们通常更担忧健康问题,而非其薪水报酬。他们的工作环境导致了不断增长的健康问题及相关讨论;此外,不良的生活习惯及缺乏锻炼使这一情况更加糟糕。除此以外,上班族群体表现出了对企业福利的更大需求,最重要的是,他们寄希望于工会采取行动帮助其争取此类福利。这个议题与其说是存在的问题,不如说是一个业已存在的、工会组织可以利用来切实帮助并更接近这一群体的机会。研究表明,工会在协助这一群体上并不活跃。上班族群体在需要帮助时会主动寻求工会的帮助,工会组织也做出了相应的回应,给予了这一群体客观的帮助,但是问题在于,在绝大多数案例中都是上班族群体主动寻求工会的援助,而工会很少主动试图了解这一群体的需求并提供援助。研究表明,工会做出了大量努力确保劳动者的权利得到尊重,但是其在推进外来务工人员文化生活提高及解决上班族群体健康问题等议题上的努力并不足够。在相应章节中,本文提出了几条建议,可作为提高改进工会工作的参考意见。除通过面谈获得的相关数据信息外,其他间接信息源包括近期与工会及劳动者权益相关的新闻和学术研究论文。鉴于近期这一领域研究的不足,本文的一个重要目的在于展现当今这一领域的情况。为此,对近期活动的分析占据了本文相当大的篇幅。本文分析了中国工会的真实现状,并记录了近期的一系列变动,因此,本文对于相关领域研究存在着相当可观的潜在贡献。特别是在过去8年,中国的情况发生了巨大的改变。虽然在其他国家也许不同,但近年来的巨大变革使得中国面临着诸多新问题。本文可以被作为一个工具,用来分析全新的形势,以及工会在这样形势下的建设性新角色,尤其是与固有角色的对比。希望此文能对之后涉及此课题的学术研究讨论作出积极贡献。当今社会,工会在各方面变得日益多元化,大众对雇佣双方关系的认知也从固有的“对抗”观念(更关注于雇佣关系双方消极、对抗的一面)向更加积极的方向转变---对双方关系的积极发展吸引更多关注,并对更具成果的对话产生更有信心。工会在当今社会创造了更多涉及社会整体的计划,而非像过去一样仅仅聚焦于劳资双方

Introduction: Continuous apomorphine infusion (CAI) is effective in improving complications in advanced Parkinson’s disease (APD). The effectiveness and tolerance of CAI in patients with APD with varying degrees of functional impairment was studied. Methods: In this comparative observational study, consecutive APD who started treatment with CAI were included. They were classified into two groups of functional impairment: A) moderate (Schwab and England (S & E) = 60% - 80% and Hoehn and Yahr (H & Y) = 2 - 3;Group (A), and (B) severe (S & E 3;Group B). Clinical follow-up was performed with concomitant medication and CAI adjustment at 3, 6 and 12 months. Clinical evaluation included a dyskinesia diary and AIMS, S & E, NPI, NMSS and HADS questionnaires. Results: Eighteen patients participated (A = 9 and B = 9) with EP diagnosed 7 (A) and 13 (B) years before. Their baseline dose of levodopa was 728 mg (A) and 925 mg (B), which did not change during follow-up. Dopamine agonists were progressively reduced in both groups. Progressive titration of CAI resulted in abandonment of apomorphine bolus administration. Both groups experienced improvements in all variables, higher in group A;motor fluctuations = 69% (A), 53% (B);AIMS = 82% (A), 71 (B);S & E = 32% (A), 18% (B);NMS = 62% (A), 19% (B);NPI = 75% (A), 50% (B);HADS (anxiety) = 26% (A), 21% (B);HADS (depression) = 52% (A), 31% (B). Adverse effects were generally mild and resolved without reducing CAI dose. There were no withdrawals. Conclusions: Patients with APD and moderate functional impairment treated with CAI may obtain greater functional, cognitive and emotional improvement than patients more severely affected.
