Green synthesis of magnetically separable and reusable Fe_(3)O_(4)/Cdots nanocomposites photocatalyst utilizing Moringa oleifera extract and watermelon peel for rapid dye degradation

This study focused on green-synthesized magnetite/carbon dots nanocomposites(GS-Fe_(3)O_(4)/Cdots)utilizing Moringa oleifera leaf extract and watermelon peel waste for rapid degradation of methylene blue(MB)***-precipitation and hydrothermal method were used to synthesize GS-Fe_(3)O_(4) and Cdots,*** addition,the sonication method was used to link Cdots on Fe_(3)O_(4) surface.X-ray diffraction spectrum of GS-Fe_(3)O_(4)/Cdots inform the cubic inverse spinel and has crystallite size in the range of 10.1-7.2 *** crystallite size also decreased with the increase of Cdots *** transmission electron microscope showed the most uniform size of nanocomposites at around 13.4 *** functional group of Fe-O was detected on the nanocomposites,proof that Fe_(3)O_(4) still exists after *** presence of C=C,C-O,and C-O-C also indicates the existence of Cdots on the surface of Fe_(3)O_(4).The addition of Cdots affected the saturation magnetization and coercivity value in the range of 29.2-38.3 emu/g and 59-65 Oe,respectively,which showed a good magnetic *** an organic dye,MB was used for a photocatalytic process under UV *** degradation efficiency was raised to 98% for 30 min photocatalytic *** magnetically separable capability makes nanocomposites could be recycled and reused three times with high ***,GS-Fe_(3)O_(4)/Cdots potential as a low-cost and environmentally friendly reusable photocatalyst for rapid wastewater degradation.

Last Shakespeare Plays Directed by Yukio Ninagawa： Possessed by the Power of Theater

Yukio Ninagawa （1935-2016） was expected to achieve in a few years the great milestone of directing the complete collection of Shakespeare plays in new Japanese translations. This paper reconsiders Ninagawa＇s direction from a global/local perspective with a special focus on several last works directed by him： Richard II, performed by young players of the Saitama Next Theater in February 2012, which was especially intended for the local Japanese audience; Ninagawa Macbeth, which was performed in September 2015 and was a revival of the director＇s internationally-acclaimed production, first performed in Japan in 1980 and abroad in 1985 onwards; and Two Gentlemen of Verona, the thirty-first in his series of Shakespeare plays and seventh in his series of Shakespeare plays with all-male casts, in October 2015. His last plays were not as perfect as he was still experimenting. This paper concludes, however, that while possessed by the power of theater, his direction emits its magical and subversive power and suggestion to give the audience vital energy to live in this world of tough conflicts. He continued to hope to make global and local spectators wonder at the plays he directed.

Examination of a Benchmark for Ethical Care Competence in Basic Nursing Education

Objectives: With rapid advancements in medical care, nurses are confronted with ethical issues on a daily basis. If new nurses are introduced to the clinical setting without having acquired sufficient ethical judgment skills in basic nursing education, they are unable to respond to the ethical dilemmas they face. This results in learned helplessness, which can lead to burnout and turnover. Therefore, it is imperative to develop educational programs where there is a natural progression from basic to continuing nursing. Therefore, in this study, we conducted a nationwide survey using the Nursing Student Care Ethical Competence Scale to present a benchmark for the assessment of this skill and facilitate continuity in nursing education. Methods: From February to March 2019, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 4930 final-year nursing students enrolled in nursing colleges, junior colleges, and technical schools nationwide. The survey consisted of 29 items on ethical behavior, 26 items on ethics knowledge, and seven items on personal attributes. For the analysis, we calculated percentiles for the five standards of nursing students’ ethical care competence: safe care provision, respecting self-determination, protecting personal information, providing the best care, and upholding patients’ dignity. Results: Responses were obtained from 1505 nursing students (collection rate 30.5%, valid response rate 30.5%). The 80th percentile (minimum value-maximum value) was 128 (38 - 145) points for the ethical competence of nursing students, 37 (11 - 40) points for safe care provision, 28 (4 - 31) points for respect for self-determination, 23 (5 - 25) points for protection of personal information, 23 (5 - 25) points for best care provision, and 13 (3 - 15) points for respect for personal dignity. Easy detecting signal of cognitive decline in healthy community-dwelling elderly people

The relationship between changes of elderly people’s participation in social activities and their cognitive functions was examined. Healthy, middle and upper-middle aged people (n = 407) responded to the Nagoya University Cognitive Assessment Battery and to a questionnaire inquiring about their participation in social activities. The results suggested that those whose participation in social activities increased in the last 6 months showed better verbal functioning than those whose participation was unchanged or decreased. Moreover, those whose social participation decreased showed inferior memory function compared to those whose social participation was unchanged, or increased. Furthermore, those whose social participation increased had better information processing speed than those whose social participation decreased. These results suggest that changes in social activities might act as an important signal that is indicative of the cognitive decline in elderly people, which would be useful to local health care managers in the elderly people’s community.

PiggyBac transposon-mediated gene delivery efficiently generates stable transfectants derived from cultured primary human deciduous tooth dental pulp cells(HDDPCs) and HDDPC-derived iPS cells

The ability of human deciduous tooth dental pulp cells（HDDPCs） to differentiate into odontoblasts that generate mineralized tissue holds immense potential for therapeutic use in the field of tooth regenerative medicine. Realization of this potential depends on efficient and optimized protocols for the genetic manipulation of HDDPCs. In this study, we demonstrate the use of a Piggy Bac（PB）-based gene transfer system as a method for introducing nonviral transposon DNA into HDDPCs and HDDPC-derived inducible pluripotent stem cells. The transfection efficiency of the PB-based system was significantly greater than previously reported for electroporation-based transfection of plasmid DNA. Using the neomycin resistance gene as a selection marker, HDDPCs were stably transfected at a rate nearly 40-fold higher than that achieved using conventional methods. Using this system, it was also possible to introduce two constructs simultaneously into a single cell. The resulting stable transfectants, expressing td Tomato and enhanced green fluorescent protein, exhibited both red and green fluorescence. The established cell line did not lose the acquired phenotype over three months of culture. Based on our results, we concluded that PB is superior to currently available methods for introducing plasmid DNA into HDDPCs. There may be significant challenges in the direct clinical application of this method for human dental tissue engineering due to safety risks and ethical concerns. However, the high level of transfection achieved with PB may have significant advantages in basic scientific research for dental tissue engineering applications, such as functional studies of genes and proteins. Furthermore, it is a useful tool for the isolation of genetically engineered HDDPC-derived stem cells for studies in tooth regenerative medicine.

Objective:Maintaining blood pressure(BP)could improve the quality of life among farmers in agricultural *** study aims to evaluate the effects of progressive muscular relaxation and stretching exercises(SEs)for BP in farmer subjects in rural ***:A randomized controlled design was applied for this *** performed a method,which is the combination of progressive muscle relaxation(PMR)and SEs for participants(30 in the control group and 60 in the intervention group).The intervention group self-practiced PMR and SEs through a video that providing instructions for 15 *** practiced before going to sleeping in the night,and SEs practiced before going to farms in the morning per day for *** signed-rank test was performed to measure the difference between systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)as one pre-and post-test comparison of baseline and 3 months data in control and intervention ***:There were no significant differences between SBP and DBP pre-and post-test in control group(P>0.050).Meanwhile,there were significant differences in reducing SBP(M=126.67;SD=18.07;95%CI=120-147.5 mmHg)and DBP(M=80.67;SD=6.91;95%CI=80-90 mmHg)pre-and post-test combination of PMR and SEs in intervention group(P<0.001).After 3-months of follow-up data,number type SBP and DBP still remained at the same levels of baseline and 3-month data in control ***,there was an increased number of normal and prehypertension for SBP and DBP(10%vs.10%and 20%vs.31.6%)and reduced of hypertension stage I for SBP and DBP(30%vs.41.6%).Conclusions:This pilot study demonstrated effectively to reduce SBP and DBP among farmers using the combination of PMR and SEs in the agricultural health setting.

The dental pulp has irreplaceable roles in maintaining healthy teeth and its regeneration is a primary aim of regenerative *** study aimed to replicate the characteristics of dental pulp tissue by using cranial neural crest(CNC)-like cells(CNCLCs);these cells were generated by modifying several steps of a previously established method for deriving NC-like cells from induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs).CNC is the anterior region of the neural crest in vertebrate embryos,which contains the primordium of dental pulp cells or *** produced CNCLCs showed approximately 2.5-12,000-fold upregulations of major CNC marker ***,the CNCLCs exhibited remarkable odontoblastic differentiation ability,especially when treated with a combination of the fibroblast growth factors(FGFs)FGF4 and *** FGFs induced odontoblast marker genes by 1.7-5.0-fold,as compared to bone morphogenetic protein 4(BMP4)*** a mouse subcutaneous implant model,the CNCLCs briefly fated with FGF4+FGF9 replicated dental pulp tissue characteristics,such as harboring odontoblast-like cells,a dentin-like layer,and vast neovascularization,induced by the angiogenic self-assembling peptide hydrogel(SAPH),*** acts as a versatile biocompatible scaffold in the canal *** study demonstrated a successful collaboration between regenerative medicine and SAPH technology.

Concept Analysis of Ethical Competence of Nursing Students and Nurses

[Aim] This study aimed to conduct a concept analysis and clarification of ethical competence of nursing students and nurses, and further clarify the components. [Method] Rodger’s concept analysis method was used. A literature search was conducted using the ICHUSHI database, MEDLINE, and CINAHL databases. The keywords included in the search were ethical competence. A total of 24 published articles were analyzed. [Results] As a concept of ethical competence among nursing students and nurses, five categories of [ethical sensitivity], [ethical reasoning], [ethical decision making], [ethical practice], [ethical reflection], obviously became. As a component, two categories of antecedent factors and three categories of consequences were identified. I defined ethical competence in nursing students and nurses, “including nursing students and nurses thinking processes and nursing practice and reflection to solve ethical problems Behavioral characteristics”. [Conclusion] Review of nursing practice from an ethical perspective [ethical reflection] is indispensable for clarifying self-tasks and deepening better nursing practice.

Gender differences of lower urinary tract symptoms in older Chinese Americans

Objective To describe whether or not there are gender differences in lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS)prevalence and risk factors in community-dwelling older Chinese *** We performed a secondary analysis of a prospective cross-sectional population-based survey of Chinese Americans aged 60 years and older between January 2011 and December 2013 in English,Mandarin,Cantonese,Taishanese,or Teochew.A clinical review of systems was used to assess LUTS,which included urinary frequency,urgency,burning and/or pain,blood in urine,and urinary *** Of the total 3157 people queried,42%were men and 58%were *** men reported LUTS compared to women(32.9%vs.28.6%,p=0.01).In a multivariable analysis,female gender(adjusted odds ratio[aOR]0.60,95%confidence interval[CI]0.49-0.73),being married(aOR 0.79,95%CI 0.65-0.97),and smoking(aOR 0.66,95%CI 0.49-0.88)were found to be protective,while traditional Chinese medicine use(aOR 1.51,95%CI 1.28-1.78),heart disease(aOR 1.54,95%CI 1.24-1.91),and anxiety(aOR 1.69,95%CI 1.25-2.28)were most strongly associated with increased odds of *** examining genders separately,being married was found to be protective only in ***,unique factors found in men were hypertension,heart disease,and practice of Tai *** In this large population-based study,LUTS were more prevalent in older Chinese American men than *** also found gender-specific factors that influenced the odds of reporting LUTS;however,traditional Chinese medicine use was the only factor that was shared by both *** longitudinal investigations are needed to elucidate these underlying mechanisms to provide evidence-based and culture-specific guidelines for this rapidly growing population.

The Acquisition of Ethical Competence in Basic Education and the Present State of Ethics Education

The aim of this study was to reveal the level of ethical competence acquired through basic nursing education, to report on the present state of ethics education, and to consider future directions for ethics education. The medical databases ICHUSHI, MEDLINE, and CINAHL were searched using the search terms “nursing ethics,” “nursing practice,” “ethics education,” and “nursing students.” Of the total results, 25 research articles (original papers, research reports, practical reports, documents) were used for this study. Ethical competence covered in basic nursing education corresponded to points 1 - 11 of the Code of Ethics, and the competencies acquired included cognizance and judgement. Ethics education included methods such as case studies in Japan and blended learning in other countries. At present, ethical competence education does not comprehensively cover the Code of Ethics, and the judgement level of competence is not acquired during basic nursing education. It is thus necessary henceforth to progressively put an educational program in place to develop ethics education that persists from basic nursing education through to continuing nursing education.
