Identification of herbicide resistance loci using a genome-wide association study and linkage mapping in Chinese common wheat

Carfentrazone-ethyl and tribenuron-methyl,the two widely used herbicides for weed control in field crops,frequently cause phytotoxicity to wheat seedlings in the *** this study,a total of 697 wheat accessions containing three panels were scanned using wheat90 K and 660 K SNP arrays to identify important herbicide resistance ***-wide association study(GWAS)revealed 329 significant single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)with phenotypic variance explained(PVE)of 11.3%to 27.6%.Among these SNPs,15 were detected in multiple environments and they were mainly distributed on chromosomes 1 B,2 D,5 B,5 D,6 D,and 7 *** analysis indicated that g HR-5 B(467–587 Mb),g HR-7 D(46–52 Mb),and g HR-1 B(517–580 Mb)were important herbicide resistance loci in *** mapping in a bi-parental population detected one QTL(q HR-1 B)with PVE of 7.44%to8.28%.This is reliable locus because its physical position(554–566 Mb)overlapped with g HR-1 B by GWAS in the genome of Chinese *** study provided some herbicide-resistant germplasm and important genetic loci for identifying genes of common wheat.

Ocean waves and Stokes drift are generated by *** study investigated the characteristics of ocean waves and wave-induced Stokes drift and their effects during Typhoon Mangkhut using European Centre for MediumRange Weather Forecasts(ECMWF)ERA5 datasets and observational *** results revealed that the typhoon generated intense cyclones and huge typhoon waves with a maximum wind speed of 45 m/s,a minimum pressure of955 h Pa,and a maximum significant wave height of 12 *** Stokes drift caused by typhoon waves exceeded 0.6m/s,the Stokes depth scale exceeded 18 m,and the maximum Stokes transport reached 6 m^(2)/*** spatial distribution of 10-m wind speed,typhoon wave height,Stokes drift,Stokes depth,and Stokes transport during the typhoon was highly correlated with the typhoon *** distribution along the typhoon track showed significant zonal asymmetry,with greater intensity on the right side of the typhoon track than on the left *** findings provide important insights into the impact of typhoons on ocean waves and Stokes drift,thus improving our understanding of the interactions between typhoons and the ocean *** study also investigated the contribution of Stokes transport to the total net transport during typhoons using Ekman-Stokes Numbers as a comparative *** results indicated that the ratio of Stokes transport to the total net transport reached up to 50%within the typhoon radius,while it was approximately 30%outside the *** Stokes transport induced by typhoon waves led to divergence in the transport direction,which resulted in upwelling of the lower ocean as a compensation ***,Stokes transport played a crucial role in the vertical mixing of the ocean during *** findings suggested that Stokes transport should be paid more attention to,particularly in high latitude ocean regions,where strong winds can amplify its effects.

Cocrystallization integrates the merits of high energy and insensitivity between energetic molecules to obtain energetics with satisfying ***,how to obtain supramolecular synthons accurately and rapidly for predicting the structure and property of cocrystal remains a challenging *** this research,an efficient systematic search approach to predict CL-20/2,4-DNI cocrystal has been proposed that 2,4-DNI revolves around CL-20 with a stoichiometric ratio of 1:1 in accordance with the specified rules(hydrogen bond length:2.2-3.0 Å;search radius:6.5 Å;the number of hydrogen bond:1-3).Eight possible supramolecular synthons were obtained by combining quantum chemistry with molecular *** structure prediction indicated that there are four structures in cocrystal,namely P21/c,P212121,Pbca and Pna21,and CL-20/2,4-DNI cocrystal is likely to be P21/c and the corresponding cell parameters are Z=4,a=8.28 Å,b=12.17 Å,c=20.42 Å,α=90°,β=96.94°,γ=90°,and ρ=1.9353 g/cm^(3).To further study the intermolecular interaction of CL-20/2,4-DNI cocrystal,a series of theoretical analyses were employed including intermolecular interaction energy,electrostatic potential(ESP),Density of State(DOS),Hirshfeld surface *** C-H…O hydrogen bonds are demonstrated as the predominant driving forces in the cocrystal *** mechanical properties and detonation properties of CL-20/2,4-DNI cocrystal implies that the cocrystal shows better ductility and excellent detonation performances(9257 m/s,39.27 GPa)and can serve as a promising energetic *** structure predicted was compared with the experimental one to verify the accuracy of systematic search *** is a less than 8.8%error between experiment and predict results,indicating the systematic search approach has extremely high reliability and *** systematic search approach can be a new strategy to search supramolecular synthons and identify structures effectively and does have t

PANoptosis is a newly identified type of regulated cell death that consists of pyroptosis,apoptosis,and nec roptosis,which simultaneously occur during the pathophysiological process of infectious and inflammatory *** our previous lite rature mining study suggested that PANoptosis might occur in neuronal ischemia/repe rfusion injury,little experimental research has been reported on the existence of *** this study,we used in vivo and in vitro retinal neuronal models of ischemia/repe rfusion injury to investigate whether PAN optosis-like cell death(simultaneous occurrence of pyroptosis,apo ptosis,and necroptosis)exists in retinal neuronal ischemia/repe rfusion *** results showed that ischemia/repe rfusion injury induced changes in morphological features and protein levels that indicate PANoptosis-like cell death in retinal neurons both in vitro and in ***/repe rfusion inju ry also significantly upregulated caspase-1,caspase-8,and NLRP3 expression,which are important components of the *** results indicate the existence of PANoptosis-like cell death in ischemia/reperfusion injury of retinal neurons and provide preliminary experimental evidence for future study of this new type of regulated cell death.

BACKGROUND To examine the association of baseline waist circumference(WC)and changes in WC with cardiovascular disease(CVD)and all-cause mortality among elderly *** A total of 30,041 eligible participants were included from a retrospective cohort in *** same questionnaire,anthropometric and laboratory measurements were performed at baseline(2010)and the first follow-up(2013).The percent change in WC between baseline and the first follow-up was calculated to evaluate three years change of *** collected the occurrence of CVD and all-cause death from the first follow-up to December 31,*** cubic splines and Cox proportionalhazards regression models were used to evaluate the relationship between baseline WC/changes in WC and *** The dose-response relationships between baseline WC and CVD mortality were U-or *** low WC group,compared with stable group,the fully adjusted hazard ratio(aHR)for CVD mortality was 1.60(95%CI:1.24−2.06)in WC gain group among *** normal WC group,the CVD mortality risk increased with WC gain(men:aHR=1.86,95%CI:1.36−2.56;women:aHR=1.83,95%CI:1.29−2.58).In moderate-high WC group,the CVD mortality risk increased with WC gain(men:aHR=1.76,95%CI:1.08−2.88;women:aHR=1.46,95%CI:1.04−2.05)and risk decreased with WC loss(men:aHR=0.54,95%CI:0.30−0.98;women:aHR=0.59,95%CI:0.37−0.96).CONCLUSIONS For the elderly population,WC gain may increase CVD mortality risk regardless of baseline WC,whereas WC reduction could decrease the risk only in the moderate-high WC group.

Objective Anthracycline-containing regimens are irreplaceable in neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)for breast cancer(BC)at ***,30% of early breast cancer(EBC)patients are resistant to anthracycline-containing chemotherapy,leading to poor prognosis and higher ***-67 is associated with the prognosis and response to therapy,and it changes after *** A total of 105 BC patients who received anthracycline-containing NAC were ***,the optimal model of Ki-67 was selected,and its predictive efficacy was ***(IHC)was used to determine the estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR),and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER-2)status and Ki-67 *** in situ hybridization(FISH)was used to verify the HER-2 when the IHC score was 2+.Results The post-NAC Ki67 level after treatment with anthracycline drugs was lower than pre-NAC Ki-67(19.6%±23.3%vs.45.6%±23.1%,P<0.001).Furthermore,patients with the Ki-67 decrease had a border line higher pathological complete response(pCR)rate(17.2%vs.0.0%,P=0.068),and a higher overall response rate(ORR)(73.6%vs.27.8%,P<0.001),when compared to patients without the Ki-67 *** ΔKi-67 and ΔKi-67%were valuable markers for the prediction of both the pCR rate and *** area under the curve(AUC)for ΔKi-67 on pCR and ORR was 0.809(0.698-0.921)and 0.755(0.655-0.855),respectively,while the AUC for ΔKi-67% on pCR and ORR was 0.857(0.742-0.972)and 0.720(0.618-0.822),*** logistic regression model 1 revealed thatΔKi-67 was an independent predictor for both pCR[odds ratio(OR)=61.030,95% confidence interval(CI)=4.709-790.965;P=0.002]and ORR(OR=10.001,95%CI:3.044-32.858;P<0.001).Multivariate logistic regression model 2 revealed thatΔKi-67%was also an independent predictor for both pCR(OR=408.922,95%CI=8.908-18771.224;P=0.002)and ORR(OR=5.419,95%CI=1.842-15.943;P=0.002).Conclusions The present study results suggest thatΔKi67 andΔKi67%are candidate predictor

The public health problem caused by disease outbreak cause increasing global concern. Field epidemiology investigation (FEI), which involves the timely use of epidemiology to solve urge nt public health problems, is a crucial core capacity for the public health workforce. When an acute public health problem occurs, there is an urge nt n eed to identify the origin, path, cases, and vulnerable population, and to implement timely intervention. FEI can be con ducted not only for in fectious disease epidemics but also for non-communicable events such as poisoning, vaccination accidents, and environmental pollution. Optical responses of metallic plasmonic arrays under the localized excitation

The metallic plasmonic array that can support both propagating surface plasmon polaritons(PSPPs)and localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)possesses rich optical properties and remarkable optical performance,making it a powerful platform for applications in photonics,chemistry,and *** practical applications,the excitation spot is usually smaller than the area of metal *** is thus imperative to address“how many array units are enough?”towards a rational design of plasmonic ***,we employed focused ion beam(FIB)to precisely fabricate a series of plasmonic array structures with increased unit *** utilizing photoluminescence(PL)and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS),we found that the array units outside the excitation spot still have a significant impact on the optical response within the *** with the numerical simulation,we found that the boundary of the finite array leads to the loss of PSPP outside the excitation point,which subsequently affects the coupling of PSPP and LSPR in the excitation spot,leading to variations in PL and SERS *** on the findings,we further tuned the LSPR mode of the metal arrays by electrodeposition to obtain strong near-field enhancement without any influence on the PSPP *** work advances the understanding of near-field and far-field optical behavior in finite-size array structures and provides guidance for designing highly-efficient photonic devices.
