Mechanochemical route to fabricate an efficient nitrate reduction electrocatalyst

The electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction(NO_(3)RR)to ammonia under ambient conditions is a promising approach for addressing elevated nitrate levels in water bodies,but the progress of this reaction is impeded by the complex series of chemical reactions involving electron and proton transfer and competing hydrogen evolution reaction.Therefore,it becomes imperative to develop an electro-catalyst that exhibits exceptional efficiency and remarkable selectivity for ammonia synthesis while maintaining long-term stability.herein the magnetic biochar(Fe-C)has been synthesized by a two-step mechanochemical route after a pyrolysis treatment(450,700,and 1000℃),which not only significantly decreases the particle size,but also exposes more oxygen-rich functional groups on the surface,promoting the adsorption of nitrate and water and accelerating electron transfer to convert it into ammonia.Results showed that the catalyst(Fe-C-700)has an impressive NH_(3)production rate of 3.5 mol·h^(−1)·gcat^(−1),high Faradaic efficiency of 88%,and current density of 0.37 A·cm^(−2)at 0.8 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(Rhe).In-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)is used to investigate the reaction intermediate and to monitor the reaction.The oxygen functionalities on the catalyst surface activate nitrate ions to form various intermediates(NO_(2),NO,NH_(2)OH,and NH_(2))and reduce the rate determining step energy barrier(*NO_(3)→*NO_(2)).This study presents a novel approach for the use of magnetic biochar as an electro-catalyst in NO_(3)RR and opens the road for solving environmental and energy challenges.

The individual difference and non-repeatability in acupuncture have not only restricted the devel- opment of acupuncture, but have also affected the specificity of acupoints. The present study used instruments to control needle depth, lifting and thrusting frequency, and the duration of acupuncture. Effects of the quantified acupuncture were observed at Neiguan （PC6） with different stimulation parameters. A frequency of 1, 2, or 3 Hz and duration of 5, 60, or 180 seconds were used to observe cerebral blood flow and ratio of infarct volume recovery. Results showed that stimulation at Neiguan with a frequency of 1 Hz and long duration of 180 seconds or 2/3 Hz and long duration of 5/60 seconds significantly increased cerebral blood flow and decreased the ratio of infarct volume. In- teractions between frequency and duration play a critical role in quantified acupuncture therapy.

The rapid growth of distributed photovoltaic(PV)has remarkable influence for the safe and economic operation of power systems.In view of the wide geographical distribution and a large number of distributed PV power stations,the current situation is that it is dificult to access the current dispatch data network.According to the temporal and spatial characteristics of distributed PV,a graph convolution algorithm based on adaptive learning of adjacency matrix is proposed to estimate the real-time output of distributed PV in regional power grid.The actual case study shows that the adaptive graph convolution model gives different adjacency matrixes for different PV stations,which makes the corresponding output estimation algorithm have higher accuracy.

高温会导致混凝土微细观结构损伤劣化,进而导致混凝土力学性能下降。本工作利用计算机层析成像(CT)技术对高温后掺加玻化微珠的再生混凝土(Recycled aggregate concrete mixed with glazed hollow beads, GHB-RAC)试件孔隙结构特征进行识别,基于CT扫描与三维重构建模提取并分析了混凝土孔隙结构的特征参数,同时利用灰色关联理论探究孔隙结构特征参数对混凝土残余抗压强度的影响程度。研究结果表明,温度会影响GHB-RAC内部孔隙结构,内部孔隙孔径及表面积随温度升高而增大,温度的升高也会影响混凝土孔隙均匀性,加剧孔隙不均匀性分布;玻化微珠(Glazed hollow beads, GHB)对混凝土温度传导的阻碍作用明显,GHB的掺入改善了混凝土的孔隙结构,减弱了高温导致的孔隙畸化;孔隙尺寸、孔隙球体度及孔隙表面积与残余抗压强度的灰色关联度均在0.55以上,表明孔隙结构参数与残余抗压强度关联性较好。

晚清南京籍画家王寅无显赫背景、高等学历或任何功名,但最终成为日本文化空间中颇为知名的文人画家。他的成功来自对时局的深入了解、对新事物的开放态度、对商机的敏锐洞察以及冒险精神。他沿袭中国文人画的传统并自称“文人”,但将他视为精英阶层并不恰当。他参与日本铜版印刷、日本汉籍销售以及书画作品营销等活动,更像一个职业画家,而非通常意义上的文人画家。王寅与当时具有类似背景的画家一起,一边艰难度日,一边传承精英艺术,支撑着近代中国美术的持续发展。从王寅这位鲜为人知的“小人物”入手,不但可以展现普通人在时代变革中的重要性,而且能够重新审视近代美术史的既有历史认知逻辑与价值判断方式。

农民在具体情境中的行为选择及其行动的基本逻辑,是“三农”问题研究的基础课题。在乡村振兴背景之下,农民的生计实践既是对逐渐落地的相关政策措施的反应,也是农民行动逻辑的外现。飞龙寨曾是武陵山区腹地发展基础薄弱的典型贫困山村,实施乡村振兴以来,其经济、文化和社会基础发生了显著变化,引发了村民多面向的生计选择:留守村民根据市场需求重新安排家庭生产经营,体现出以家庭生产生活为核心关切的决策方式;外出人员在逐渐融入务工地后,将小家庭的发展与务工地资源更有效地结合起来,体现了以核心家庭利益为目标的策略选择;乡村精英积极探索资源转化路径,尝试以个体发展牵动村落整体发展,其行动目标以小家庭的发展为出发点,同时兼顾大家庭和村落的需要。农民群体的生计实践,既有以家庭的富足为根本动力的共性,又有代际、角色的差异,具有伦理本位的个体主义特点。

A Case Report: Emergency Management of a Pregnant Trauma Patient—An Anesthesiologist’s Perspective and Role

Trauma is the leading cause of death for all women of childbearing age. Motor vehicle accidents account for almost two-thirds of all maternal non-obstetric, trauma-related deaths, while falls and domestic violence comprise a large percentage of the rest. The leading causes of obstetric trauma are motor vehicle accidents, falls, assaults, and gunshots, and ensuing injuries are classified as blunt abdominal trauma, pelvic fractures, or penetrating trauma . The causes are different with different life styles and different socio-economic and cultural background. Pregnant trauma victims tend to be younger, less severely injured, and more likely African American or of Hispanic descent compared with nonpregnant victims of trauma. Drugs and alcohol are a factor in about 20 percent of maternal trauma. With pregnancy comes the challenge and responsibility of caring for two patients at once, the mother and the fetus. In general, providing optimal maternal care is the best strategy to optimize fetal survival. Decision-making including the condition of the mother, gestational age, status of the fetus, and interventions are based on these key factors. Many providers are involved in the care of the pregnant patient: at the trauma scene, in the emergency department, and in the operating room. The anesthesiologist plays a key role in the care and management of the pregnant trauma patient. All anesthesiologists have ample training in obstetric anesthesia during their residency and frequently cover obstetric units in hospitals where pregnant patients are cared for. On the other hand, most nonobstetric physicians have little obstetric exposure and may be uncomfortable caring for the pregnant patient because of unfamiliarity with the physiologic changes of pregnancy or the evaluation of fetal well-being. This is not only a source of stress for other trauma providers, but can put maternal well-being at risk. A Case Report of Kissing Molars Class II

Kissing molars (KMs) is a condition of occlusal molar surfaces in a single follicular space with roots extending in opposite directions. here, we have reported a case of KMs in a 58-year-old woman. The patient complained of pain in the right mandibular molar region and was diagnosed with KMs consisting of the right mandibular second and third molars. Because of the patient’s pain having subsided at the time of the visit and her unwillingness to undergo tooth extraction, the patient was followed up. KMs is classified into three classes (I-III) and is either true-KMs or pseudo-KMs and presents with or without cystic variants of dental follicles. The presents as true-KMs class II without a cystic variant. With reference to the literature and based on our analysis, the mean age of patients affected by this specific case of KMs is 31.7 years and unilateral KMs is relatively more common (85.7%). Histopathological findings of dentigerous cysts are more often indicated (42.9%). The treatment policy for KMs should therefore be based on the classification of KMs. Importantly, the focus should be on preserving the first and second molars as much as possible. The treatment approach, such as the employment of surgical removal or orthodontics, should be determined by considering the associated factors such as the crowns, tissues, and age of the patient.

Chest Radiography: General Practitioners’ Compliance with Recommendations

Introduction: Chest radiography is the most frequently prescribed imaging test in general practice in France. We aimed to assess the extent to which general practitioners follow the recommendations of the French National Authority for health in prescribing chest radiography. Methodology: We conducted a retrospective analysis study, in two radiology centers belonging to the same group in Saint-Omer and Aire-sur-la-Lys, of requests for chest radiography sent by general practitioners over the winter period between December 22, 2013, and March 21, 2014, for patients aged over 18 years. Results: One hundred and seventy-seven requests for chest X-rays were analyzed, 71.75% of which complied with recommendations. The most frequent reason was the search for bronchopulmonary infection, accounting for 70.08% of prescriptions, followed by 11.2% for requests to rule out pulmonary neoplasia, whereas the latter reason did not comply with recommendations. Chest X-rays contributed to a positive diagnosis in 28.81% of cases. The positive diagnosis was given by 36.22% of the recommended chest X-rays, versus 10% for those not recommended. Conclusion: In most cases, general practitioners follow HAS recommendations for prescribing chest X-rays. Non-recommended chest X-rays do not appear to make a major contribution to diagnosis or patient management, confirming the value of following the recommendations of the French National Authority for health.
