In a model based on a search with increased accuracy of calculations-four times-of all the roots of the equations for the velocities of electrons in the inverse Compton effect,it is established that for new values of the roots of the equations(corresponding to the laws of conservation of momentum and energy),the recoil electrons remain ultra-relativistic,according to the authors,allows to eliminate the reverse Compton catastrophe of *** maximum value of the scattering angle of the formed particles was found to explain the thin quasar jets.

The mechanism of interaction between a cell and an external mechanical field is still poorly understood, and the accumulated diverse experimental data are often scattered. Therefore, the aim of this work was to systematize the experimental data in a mathematical model of the interaction between a cell and an external mechanical field based on standard kinetic equations and Fick’s diffusion equation. Assuming that the cortical cytoskeleton proteins play a key role in cell mechanosensitivity, we compared the results of mathematical modeling and experimental data concerning the content of cytoskeletal proteins at the early stages of a mechanical field change. In addition, the proposed mathematical model suggests the dynamics of changes of a key transcription factor, which is necessary for the expression of certain genes encoding cytoskeletal proteins.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most common severe neurodegenerative disorder. It is characterized by progressive degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta. Unfortunately, PD remains incurable. Therapy based on regulatory peptides, particularly neuroprotective peptides, which can sustain or activate neuron plasticity to enable their survival and function in difficult environments and after violated homeostasis, is a promising approach to cure PD. Some studies show that the synthetic analogs of natural peptides may be used as an etiological or at least a complementary therapy in PD. Therefore, in the present pilot study, we investigated the effects of the synthetic peptides Semax and dopamine neuron stimulating peptide (DNSP-5), and a new synthetic Semax-DNSP-5 hybrid peptide (SD) on the functioning of brain neurons. An analysis of the levels of dopamine (DA), noradrenaline (NA), 5-hydroxytriptamine (5-HT), an expression analysis of Gdnf and Gdnf receptor genes Gfra1, Gfra2, Gfra3, Gfra4, and Gfral in various regions of the brain of rats with 6-OHDA-induced PD-like parkinsonism, and a study of the motor activity of the rats in an “open field” test showed that DNSP-5 and SD elevated the level of DA in the nonlesioned striatum. DNSP-5 also increased the expression of Gfra1 and Gfra2 in the nonlesioned striatum and lesioned substantia nigra (SN) which suggested that DNSP-5 had compensatory and neuroprotective properties. SD demonstrated similar, albeit less pronounced effects to DNSP-5 on DA metabolism and gene expression. Of the peptides studied, only SD tended to increase the horizontal and vertical activity of rats. In conclusion, these findings suggest that DNSP-5 and SD have potential neuroprotective properties and may stimulate the surviving DA neurons.

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)are the most frequent mesenchymal tumors of gastrointestinal *** most common sites of metastases are the liver and the peritoneum,whereas breast metastases from GIST are extremely *** present a second case of GIST breast *** SUMMARY We found a case of breast metastasis from rectum GIST.A 55-year-old female patient presented with rectum tumor with multiply liver lesions and metastasis in the right ***-perineal extirpation of rectum was performed,histology and immunohistochemistry study showed GIST,mixed type with CD117 and DOG-1 positive *** patient was taking imatinib 400 mg for 22 mo with stable *** of growth of the breast metastasis the treatment was changed twice:The dose of imatinib was doubled with further progression in the breast lesion and then the patient was receiving sunitinib for 26 mo with partial response in the right breast and stable disease in the liver *** breast lesion increased and right breast resection was done–surgery on local progression,the liver metastases were *** and immunohistochemistry studies revealed GIST metastasis,CD 117 and DOG 1 positive with KIT exon 11 *** surgery the patient resumed *** now the patient has been taking imatinib 400 mg for 19 mo without progression,last follow up was in November *** GISTs breast metastases are extremely rare,we described the second *** the same time second primary tumors have been reported frequently in patients diagnosed with GISTs and breast cancer is one of the most common second primary tumors in patients with *** is why it is very important to distinguish primary from metastatic breast *** on local progression made it possible to resume less toxic treatment.

We in vitro examined the existing prognoses of the dissociation constant, KD, between ТАТА- Binding Protein (TBP) and ТАТА box with single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) associated with human diseases. Five SNPs of the genes for cytochrome P450 2A6 (associated with lung cancer), β-globin (associated with β-thalassemia), mannose binding lectin (associated with variable immunodeficiency), superoxide dismutase 1 (associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and triosephosphate isomerase (associated with anemia) fell within the range of –ln(KD;M/KD;WT) between –1.5 and –1 (here KD;WT and KD;M denote the normal ТАТА box and with SNP). The mea-surements using EMSA demonstrated that: 1) all the predictions stating that the affinity between ТВР and ТАТА boxes with SNPs would be reduced were correct;2) the departures of three predictions from the measurements fell within the confidence interval;3) all the predictions consistently underestimated actual mutational damage caused to ТАТА boxes with SNPs (a < 0.05;binomial law) and two of these predictions did so significantly (a < 0.05, Student’s t-test). This consistent underestimation seems to be associated with the damage to the context that modulates ТВP/ТАТА affinity, for example, the contact between the nucleosomal histone H3-Н4 dimer and the core promoter immediately near ТАТА boxes.

An empirical formula is proposed to calculate the total binding energy of the outer electrons of atoms and their ions to a high accuracy. It is the authors’ opinion that the validity of the proposed formula testifies that electronic shells have some “spatial structures”, and the nature of which depends neither on the nucleus charge, nor on the number of the electrons in a shell.

Excitation system is one of the significant elements affecting the dynamic performance of electric power systems. The power engineering as area of science and industry is subjected to rapid modernization, which is caused by technological progress. However, not all elements of the power system are developing simultaneously. The old type of elements sometimes is sufficient to adapt old system to the new operational conditions. The work developed and proposed in this paper deals with analysis of possible optimization of synchronous generator＇s excitation system. Authors examined influence of excitation system＇s parameters to the dynamics of transient processes in the power system. Authors investigated optimal parameters of excitation system of the Kegums hydro power plant. For optimization of parameters objective functions were used. The problem of the mutual influence of excitation systems of neighbor power plants was investigated. Investigation of transient processes using developed model proved that optimization of excitation parameters improves efficiency of regulation of excitation system, damping of active power oscillation and in some cases can prevent out-of-step condition.

Mechanisms of adaptation of the hepatic vasculature to the deteriorating conditions of blood circulation in liver cirrhosis

Pub Med, EMBASE, Orphanet, MIDLINE, Google Scholar and Cochrane Library were searched for articles published between 1983 and 2015. Relevant articles were selected by using the following terms: "Liver cirrhosis", "Endothelial dysfunction", "Sinusoidal remodeling", "Intrahepatic angiogenesis" and "Pathogenesis of portal hypertension". Then the reference lists of identified articles were searched for other relevant publications as well. Besides gross hepatic structural disorders related to diffuse fibrosis and formation of regenerative nodules, the complex morphofunctional rearrangement of the hepatic microvascular bed and intrahepatic angiogenesis also play important roles in hemodynamic disturbances in liver cirrhosis. It is characterized by endothelial dysfunction and impaired paracrine interaction between activated stellate hepatocytes and sinusoidal endotheliocytes, sinusoidal remodeling and capillarization, as well as development of the collateral microcirculation. In this study, thin films were produced by magnetron sputtering NC （nanocrystalline） specimens of titanium saturated in hydrogen and were evaluated by layer-by-layer SIMS （secondary ion mass spectrometry） and Raman spectroscopy. Due to magnetron sputtering, the chemical composition of the films was non-homogeneous and was variable among layers. Moreover, in the deposition of specimens saturated with hydrogen, hydrogen diffused throughout the depth of the film; diffusion, however, was restricted to the area near the film-substrate interface, affecting less than 50% of the thickness of the film.

In recent years, defined progress has been made in understanding the mechanisms of hemodynamic disturbances occurring in liver cirrhosis, which are based on portal hypertension. In addition to pathophysiological disorders related to endothelial dysfunction, it was revealed: There is the restructuring of the vasculature, which includes vascular remodeling and angiogenesis. In spite of the fact that these changes are the compensatory-adaptive response to the deteriorating conditions of blood circulation, taken together, they contribute to the development and progression of portal hypertension causing severe complications such as bleeding from esophageal varices. Disruption of systemic and organ hemodynamics and the formation of portosystemic collaterals in portal hypertension commence with neovascularization and splanchnic vasodilation due to the hypoxia of the small intestine mucosa. In this regard, the goal of comprehensive treatment may be to influence on the chemokines, proinflammatory cytokines, and angiogenic factors(vascular endothelial growth factor, placental growth factor, platelet-derived growth factor and others) that lead to the development of these disorders. This review is to describe the mechanisms of restructuring of the vascular bed in response to hemodynamic disturbances in portal hypertension. Development of pathogenetic methods, which allow correcting portal hypertension, will improve the efficiency of conservative therapy aimed at prevention and treatment of its inherent complications.
