A South Ame.ican fre.hwate. gastropod, the.apple.snail Pomace. canaliculata, has be.ome.a drive. of e.osyste.ic change. in we.lands and an important rice.pe.t afte. its introduction to various parts of the.world, mainly Asia. The.obje.tive.of this study was to study the.e.fe.t of an abrupt inte.ruption in food availability in the.short te.m （up to 4 we.ks） and long te.m （up to 8 months） on survival and re. productive.activity. The.main re.ults indicate.that short-te.m fasting mainly affe.ts the.survival of male., but only whe. the. are.raise. toge.he. with fe.ale., probably due.to a gre.te. mate.se.rching activity that incre.se. mortality in the.individuals with lowe. re.e.ve.. The.numbe. of copulating snails or e.g-laying fe.ale. shows an abrupt drop whe. fasting and a rapid re.ove.y afte. the.food supply is re.tore.. The.strate.y of discontinuing re.roductive.activity prioritize. e.e.gy conse.vation for the.survival of the.fe.ale.. Inte.population variation in re.istance.to starvation was obse.ve. in adults, which can be.e.plaine. to some.e.te.t by the.food availability that the. e.pe.ie.ce. in the.r natural e.vironme.t. No inte.populational diffe.e.ce. in survival we.e.se.n in hatchlings. The.me.n maximum value. of survival unde. starvation we.e.52.6 days in hatchlings and the.3.3% of adults survive.ove. than 200 days, which may be.a re.e.ant trait in dispe.sal and e.tablishme.t in ne. habitats.

Sorghum be.r or dolo is part of the.e.ting habits of part of the.population of Dédougou be.ause.of its low price.compare. with industrial be.rs. Its production is an ance.tral tradition that use. traditional e.uipme.t and give. dolo organole.tic prope.tie. that are.not found in industrial be.rs. The.production proce.s involve. se.e.al stage., including fe.me.tation, which itse.f comprise. natural lactic fe.me.tation followe. by alcoholic fe.me.tation using traditional ye.sts, which are.not controlle. in any way. The.ge.e.al aim of this study is to asse.s the.microbiological quality of the.e.fe.me.tative.ye.sts in the.town of Dédougou, in orde. to contribute.to the.he.lth safe.y of the.population and the.promotion of the.e.local be.rs. Twe.ty sample. of fe.me.ting ye.st we.e.analyze. according to ISO standards, to isolate.e.te.obacte.ia, total and fae.al coliforms according to standard proce.ure. for isolating the.e.micro-organisms. The.isolate. strains we.e.ide.tifie. using the.API20e.galle.y. Microbiological analyse. re.e.le. the.pre.e.ce.of 51.17% e.te.obacte.ia, 45.38% total coliforms and 3.45% the.motole.ant coliforms. We.counte. 40% e.che.ichia coli, 20% e.te.obacte. cloacae. 20% Kle.sie.la pne.moniae.and 20% Kle.sie.la spp. All the.strains de.e.te. are.capable.of surviving in hostile.conditions and could harm the.quality of the.dolo, consume. he.lth and cause.re.l colle.tive.food poisoning in the.town of Dédougou. Introduction: The.uncontrolle. manage.e.t of waste.e.e.trical and e.e.tronic e.uipme.t (W3e. cause. re.piratory proble.s in the.handle.s of this waste. The.obje.tive.was to study the.stains associate. with re.piratory symptoms in W3e.handle.s. Me.hods: The.study was cross-se.tional with an analytical focus on W3e.handle.s in the.informal se.tor in Ouagadougou. A pe.r-validate. que.tionnaire.colle.te. data on a sample.of 161 manipulators. Re.ults: the.most common W3e.proce.sing tasks we.e.the.purchase.or sale.of W3e.(67.70%), its re.air (39.75%) and its colle.tion (31.06%). The.pre.ale.ce.of cough was 21.74%, that of whe.zing 14.91%, phle.m 12.50% and dyspne. at re.t 10.56%. In bivariate.analysis, the.e.we.e.significant associations at the.5% le.e. be.we.n W3e.re.air and phle.m (p-value.= 0.044), be.we.n W3e.burning and whe.zing (p-value.= 0.011) and be.we.n W3e.and cough (p-value.= 0.01). The.final logistic re.re.sion mode.s sugge.te. that the.burning of W3e.and the.me.ting of le.d batte.ie. re.re.e.te. risk factors for the.occurre.ce.of cough with re.pe.tive.pre.ale.ce.ratios of 4.57 and 4.63. Conclusion: raising aware.e.s on the.we.ring of pe.sonal prote.tive.e.uipme.t, in particular masks adapte. by W3e.handle.s, favoring those.who are.de.icate. to the.burning of e.e.tronic waste.and the.me.ting of le.d could make.it possible.to re.uce.the.risk of occurre.ce.of re.piratory symptoms.

Introduction: Low back pain is nowadays a re.l public he.lth proble. in companie.. The.obje.tive.of the.study was to de.e.mine.the.pre.ale.ce.and factors associate. with chronic low back pain among worke.s of a mining company in Burkina Faso. Mate.ial and Me.hods: This was a de.criptive.and analytical cross-se.tional study with a re.rospe.tive.colle.tion that took place.from August 1, 2021 to March 16, 2022 in a gold mine.in Burkina Faso. It focuse. on mine.worke.s who participate. in the.2019 annual me.ical visit. Re.ults: Out of a total workforce.of 880 worke.s who took part in the.annual me.ical visit in 2019, 165 had chronic common low back pain, i.e. a pre.ale.ce.of 18.75%. The.ave.age.age.of low back pain worke.s was 37.21 ± 7.5 ye.rs. Among the.worke.s suffe.ing from low back pain, 62 (37.58%) he.d the.position of machine.ope.ator. Clinically, me.hanical pain was found in 113 low back pain worke.s (76%) and twe.ty-nine.(17.58%) had radicular pain. Standard radiography of the.lumbar spine.was abnormal in 129 worke.s (78.18%. In the.univariate.analysis, the.factors associate. with the.pathology we.e.se., le.e. of study, work station and se.iority in the.position. Afte. a logistic re.re.sion, the.factors associate. with its occurre.ce.we.e.whole.body vibration (Fishe.’s te.t = 12.7541;P = 0.000), male.se. (Fishe.’s te.t = 8.363;P = 0.004), and se.iority for 4 to 5 ye.rs (Chi2 = 4.0234;p = 0.046). Conclusion: The.study re.e.ls the.e.iste.ce.of chronic low back pain case. among the.worke.s of the.mining company. The.e.is a pre.ominance.of the.pathology in me., worke.s e.pose. to vibrations and those.with a se.iority of 4 to 5 ye.rs. It is ne.e.sary to e.tablish a policy of pre.e.tion of low back pain for the.be.e.it of worke.s, in particular those.e.pose. to vibrations.
