A Low Complexity Algorithm for Subcarrier-and-Bit Allocation in OFDMA-Based LTE Systems

In this paper, we propose optimum and sub-optimum resource allocation and opportunistic scheduling solutions for orthogonal frequency division multiple access （OFDMA）-based multicellular systems. The applicability, complexity, and performance of the proposed algorithms are analyzed and numerically evaluated. In the initial setup, the fractional frequency reuse （FFR） technique for inter-cell interference cancellation is applied to classify the users into two groups, namely interior and exterior users. Adaptive modulation is then employed according to the channel state information （CSI） of each user to meet the symbol error rate （SER） requirement. There then, we develop subcarrier-and-bit allocation method, which maximizes the total system throughput subject to the constraints that each user has a minimum data rate requirement. The algorithm to achieve the optimum solution requires high computational complexity which hinders it from practicability. Toward this suboptimum method with the reduced to the order of O（NIO, the total number of subcarriers end, we complexity propose a extensively where N and K denote and users, respectively. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm approaches the optimum solution, yet it enjoys the features of simplicity, dynamic cell configuration, adaptive subearrier-and-bit allocation, and spectral efficiency.

Two case reports of gastroendoscopy-associated Acinetobacter baumannii bacteremia

Two cases of gastroendoscopy-associated Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii ) bacteremia were discovered at the study hospital. The first case was a 66-year-old woman who underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and endoscopic retrograde papillotomy, and then A. baumannii bacteremia occurred. The second case was a 70-year-old female who underwent endoscopic retrograde biliary drainage due to obstruction of intra-hepatic ducts, and bacteremia occurred due to polymicrobes (Escherichia coli , viridans streptococcus , and A. baumannii ). After a literature review, we suggest that correct gastroendoscopy technique and skill in drainage procedures, as well as antibiotic prophylaxis, are of paramount importance in minimizing the risk of gastroendoscopy-associated bacteremia.

Restenosis is a common complication following coronary *** traditional use of seaweeds for health benefits has increasingly been explored,however few studies exist reporting its protective effects on the development of restenosis and gut *** aim of this study was to investigate the potential of seaweed extracts(SE) of Ascophyllum nodosum and Fucus vesiculosus in inhibiting intimal hyperplasia in a rat model of restenosis and its underlying mechanisms in macrophages and vascular smooth muscle cells(vSMCs).16S rRNA sequencing was done to investigate the regulatory effect of SE on the gut microbiome of injured *** indicated by the results,SE significantly inhibited the progression of intimal hyperplasia in vivo,attenuated inflammation in macrophages and could inhibit the proliferation,dedifferentiation and migration of *** was observed through immunoblotting assays that treatment with SE significantly upregulated PTEN expression in macrophages and inhibited the upregulation of PI3K and AKT expression in ***,according to the 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis,supplementation with SE modulated gut microbiota composition in injured *** conclusion,SE could ameliorate intimal hyperplasia by inhibiting inflammation and vSMCs proliferation through the regulation of the PTEN/PI3K/AKT pathway and modulating the gut microbiome.

Etiology of non-traumatic acute abdomen in pediatric emergency departments

Acute abdominal pain is a common complaint in pediatric emergency departments. A complete evaluation is the key factor approaching the disease and should include the patient's age, any trauma history, the onset and chronicity of the pain, the related symptoms and a detailed physical examination. The aim of this review article is to provide some information for physicians in pediatric emergency departments, with the age factors and several causes of non-traumatic acute abdominal pain. The leading causes of acute abdominal pain are divided into four age groups: infants younger than 2 years old, children 2 to 5, children 5 to 12, and children older than 12 years old. We review the information about acute appendicitis, intussusception, HenochSchnlein purpura, infection, Meckel's diverticulum and mesenteric adenitis. In conclusion, the etiologies of acute abdomen in children admitted to the emergency department vary depending on age. A complete history and detailed physical examination, as well as abdominal imaging examinations, could provide useful information for physicians in the emergency department to narrow the differential diagnosis of abdominal emergencies and give a timely treatment.

Corrosion assessment for spent nuclear fuel disposal in crystalline rock,using variant cases of hydrogeological modeling

Tweezing and manipulating micro- and nanoparticles by optical nonlinear endoscopy

The precise control and manipulation of micro-and nanoparticles using an optical endoscope are potentially important in biomedical studies,bedside diagnosis and treatment in an aquatic internal organ environment,but they have not yet been ***,for the first time,we demonstrate optical nonlinear endoscopic tweezers(ONETs)for directly controlling and manipulating aquatic micro-and nanobeads as well as gold *** is found that two-photon absorption can enhance the trapping force on fluorescent nanobeads by up to four orders of magnitude compared with dielectric nanobeads of the same *** importantly,two-photon excitation leads to a plasmon-mediated optothermal attracting force on nanorods,which can extend far beyond the focal *** new phenomenon facilitates a snowball effect that allows the fast uploading of nanorods to a targeted cell followed by thermal treatment within 1 *** two-photon absorption allows an operation wavelength at the center of the transmission window of human tissue,our work demonstrates that ONET is potentially an unprecedented tool for precisely specifying the location and dosage of drug particles and for rapidly uploading metallic nanoparticles to individual cancer cells for treatment.

This paper presents a review of the variation in the hydro-environment over the past four decades in wuhan,China,and discusses its close relationship with flash flood *** flash flood events have inundated underground infrastructures and resulted in significant economic losses and casualties,which are also discussed in relation to various external and internal *** external factors are predominantly owing to heavy rainstorms resulting from extreme climate *** internal factors predominantly include a decrease in wetland areas,changes in topography,and disrepair of drainage systems in urban *** the 1970s,lakes in wuhan have been significantly reduced in size(by approximately 40%).This reduction in wetland area decreases the water storage capacity in urban areas,and the frequency of large flooding events thus increased from 0.1 event/year to approximately 0.2 event/***,the disrepair of drainage systems in urban areas has reduced their ability to resist flood *** in topography have also intensified the flood volume per unit time,further burdening the drainage *** 2016,wuhan suffered from several large flooding events that led to some of the most severe economic losses in recorded *** drainage system at the urban center of wuhan and proposed flood prevention methods are discussed in detail in this *** sponge city(SPC)concept has been attempted in Qingshan District,wuhan,and its success proved the reliability of the theory.A SPC is believed to reduce the impacts of future flash floods in China and other developed and developing countries.
