Soil organic carbon pool along different altitudinal level in the Sygera Mountains, Tibetan Plateau

Labile organic carbon（LOC） is one of the most important indicators of soil organic matter quality and dynamics elevation and plays important function in the Tibetan Plateau climate. However, it is unknown what the sources and causes of LOC contamination are. In this study, soil organic carbon（SOC）, total nitrogen（TN）, microbial biomass carbon（MBC）, microbial biomass nitrogen（MBN） and LOC were analyzed based on different soil horizons and elevations using turnover time in an experimental site（3700 m to 4300 m area） in Sygera. SOC and LOC in higher-elevation vegetation types were higher than that of in lower-elevation vegetation types. Our results presented that the soil microbial biomass carbon（SMBC） and soil microbial biomass nitrogen（SMBN）were positively correlated with SOC. The content of easily oxidized carbon（EOC）, particulate organic carbon（POC） and light fraction organic carbon（LFOC） decreased with depth increasing and the content were the lowest in the 60 cm to 100 cm *** total SOC, ROC and POC contents decreased with increasing soil horizons. The SOC, TN, MBC and MBN contents increased with increasing altitude in the Sygera Mountains. The MBC and MBN contents weredifferent with the changes of SOC（p＆lt;0.05）,meanwhile, both LFOC and POC were related to total SOC（p＆lt;0.05）. The physical and chemical properties of soil, including temperature, humidity, and altitude,were involved in the regulation of SOC, TN, MBC,MBN and LFOC contents in the Sygera Mountains,Tibetan Plateau.

Machinability improvement in micro milling AlN after laser chemical milling

Processing microchannels inside laminated aluminum nitride high-temperature co-fired ceramics(AlN HTCC)packaging,a typical difficult-to-cut ceramic,can effectively solve the heatdissipation problem of integrated chips used in smart *** order to improve the processing efficiency and quality of AlN,the machinability of AlN after laser chemical milling(LCM)was studied through the milling force,machined surface quality,surface defects,formation mechanism,and tool *** study established a milling force model that can predict the milling forces of AlN and analyses the reasons for the improvements in the milling force based on experimental data and predicted *** results from the model and experiments demonstrated that the milling force of the laser chemical milling assisted micro milling(LCAMM)decreased by 85%-90% and 85%-95%,respectively,due to the amount of removal of a single edge was more uniform and the actual inclination angle increased during the cutting process in ***,the machined surface quality improved by 65%-76% after LCM because of less tool wear,fewer downward-propagating cracks generated during each feed,and the surface removal mode transformed from intergranular fracture to transgranular fracture,which effectively reducing tool wear and improving tool ***,when feed per tooth and depth of cut were 0.4 lm/z and 5 lm,the optimal machined surface quality was obtained,with a roughness of 64.6 nm Therefore,milling after LCM can improve the machinability of AlN and providing a feasibility for the high-quality and efficient machining of microchannels.

Research on the effect of health care integration on patients’ negative emotions and satisfaction with lung cancer nursing activities

BACKGROUND Lung cancer is a clinical disease with multiple malignant ***,it is difficult for patients to benefit from routine clinical nursing due to the lack of a pertinent and systematic *** To investigate the effect of integrated nursing care on the negative emotions and satisfaction of lung cancer *** From January 2018 to December 2019,92 patients with lung cancer were selected and divided into the study group and the control group;there were 46 patients in each *** control group received routine nursing,and the study group received integrated medical care in addition to the care received by the control *** emotions before and after the intervention,the self-management ability score after the intervention,family care burden after the intervention and nursing satisfaction after the intervention were measured in the two *** After the intervention,the self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the scores for health knowledge,self-concept,self-responsibility and self-care skills in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);the scores for individual burden and responsibility burden in the study group were lower than those before the intervention(P<0.05);and the nursing satisfaction in the study group(93.48%)was higher than that in the control group(78.26%,P<0.05).CONCLUSION An integrated nursing care approach for lung cancer patients can effectively relieve the patient’s negative feelings,improve their self-management ability,help to reduce the burden of family care and improve patient satisfaction with nursing activities.

Luteolin ameliorates ulcerative colitis in mice via reducing the depletion of NCR+ILC3 through Notch signaling pathway

Prediction of synchronous colorectal cancers by computed tomography in subjects receiving an incomplete colonoscopy:A single-center study

Gamma-emitting radionuclide ^(99m)Tc is globally used for the diagnosis of various pathological conditions owing to its ideal single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) ***,the short half-life of ^(99m)Tc (T_(1/2)=6 h)makes it difficult to store or ***,the production of ^(99m)Tc is tied to its parent radionuclide ^(99)Mo (T_(1/2)=66 h).The major production paths are based on accelerators and research *** reactor process presents the potential for nuclear proliferation owing to its use of highly enriched uranium (HEU).Accelerator-based methods tend to use deuterium–tritium(D–T) neutron sources but are hindered by the high cost of tritium and its challenging *** this study,a new ^(99)Mo production design was developed based on a deuterium–deuterium (D–D) gas dynamic trap fusion neutron source (GDT-FNS) and a subcritical blanket system (SBS) assembly with a low-enriched uranium (LEU) ***-FNS can provide a relatively high-neutron intensity,which is one of the advantages of ^(99)Mo *** provide a Monte Carlo-based neutronics analysis covering the calculation of the subcritical multiplication factor (k_(s)) of the SBS,optimization design for the reflector,shielding layer,and ^(99)Mo production *** calculations,including the neutron flux and nuclear heating distributions,are also provided for an overall evaluation of the production *** results demonstrated that the SBS meets the nuclear critical safety design requirement (k_(s)<0.97) and maintained a high ^(99)Mo production *** proposed system can generate approximately 157 Ci ^(99)Mo for a stable 24 h operation with a neutron intensity of 1×10^(14) n/s,which can meet 50%of China’s demand in 2025.

Effects of Magnesium and Ferric Ions on Crystallization of Calcium Sulfate Dihydrate Under the Simulated Conditions of Wet Flue-gas Desulfurization

The influences of magnesium and ferric ions in their different ratios on the rate of gypsum crystallization were studied under the conditions similar to those of wet flue-gas desulfurization（WFGD）. The results show that addition of both Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ increased induction time and decreased the growth efficiency up to 50% compared with the baseline（without impurities） depending on the concentration and the type of impurity. The effects of Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ on the surface energy and the rate of nucleation were estimated by employing the classical nucleation theory. The surface energy decreased by 8% and 14% with the addition of 0.02 mol/L magnesium or ferric ions, respectively, compared to the baseline. Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ made the growth rate of the （020）, （021） and （040） faces of gypsum crystal a much greater reduction, which leads to the formation of needle crystals compared to the baseline which favors the formation of plate or flakes. Furthermore, an edge detection program was developed to quantify the effects of impurities on the filtration rate of gypsum product. The results show that the inhibition efficiency of the presence of 0.02 mol/L Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ on the filtration rate of gypsum crystal ranges from 22% to 39%.

Efficacy of maximal androgen blockade versus castration alone in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer： a retrospective clinical experience from a Chinese medical centre

In this retrospective study, we evaluated and compared the efficacy and toxicities of maximal androgen blockade （MAB） versus castration alone in Chinese patients with advanced prostate cancer. From 1996 to 2004, 608 patients with advanced prostate cancer were included in the study. Patients were retrospectively divided into two groups according to different therapeutic regimens. Of the 608 patients, 300 patients were treated with MAB （castration plus nonsteroidal antiandrogens） and the remaining 308 were treated with castration alone. The 2- and 5-year overall survival rates of these patients were 73.7% and 56%, respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that, in patients with metastatic prostate cancer, MAB was associated with not only the improvement of progression-free survival （PFS）（increased by 10 months） but also a 20.6% reduction in mortality risk compared with castration alone. In contrast, the efficacy of MAB was not superior to castration alone for patients with nonmetastatic prostate cancer. Interestingly, among patients with MAB, those using bicalutamide had a longer PFS than those using flutamide; this was especially so in patients with metastatic prostate cancer. Almost all of the toxicities due to the hormone therapy were mild to moderate and manageable. To conclude, in China, hormone therapies, including MAB and castration alone, have been standard treatments for advanced prostate cancer. For patients with nonmetastatic prostate cancer, castration alone might be adequately practical and efficient. In patients with metastatic prostate cancer, however, MAB has superior efficacy over castration alone. It is clear that MAB should be considered the first-line standard treatment for patients with metastatic prostate cancer.

Background The pathogenesis of autism spectrum disorders remains elusive and currently there are no diagnostic or pre-dictive biomarkers in autism available. Proteomic profiling has been used in a wide range of neurodevelopmental disorder studies, which could produce deeper perceptions of the molecular bases behind certain disease and potentially becomes useful in discovering biomarkers in autism spectrum disorders. Methods Serum samples were collected from autistic children about 3 years old in age (n = 32) and healthy controls (n = 20) in similar age and gender. The samples were identified specific proteins that are diff erentially expressed by magnetic bead-based pre-fractionation and matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-ToF-MS). Results Eight protein peaks were significantly different in autistic children from the healthy controls (P nificant diff erences were 6428 and 7758 Da in size. Conclusion According to diff erences in serum protein profiles between the autistic children and healthy controls, this study identified a set of diff erentially expressed proteins those are significant for further evaluation and might function as biomark-ers in autism.

Odorant-binding proteins(OBPs)are crucial in insect's olfactory perception,which participate in the initial step of odorant molecules transporting from the external environment to olfactory receptor *** better understand the roles for OBPs in olfactory perception in Cotesia vestalis,a solitary larval endoparasitoid of diamondback moth,Plutella xylostella,we have comprehensively screened the genome of ***,and obtained 20 CvesOBPs,including 18 classic OBPs and two minus-C ***-pattern analysis indicates that the motifs of *** OBPs are highly conserved in *** results of tissue expression analysis show that five OBPs(CvesOBP1/11/12/14/16)are highly expressed in male antennae,whereas six other OBP genes(CvesOBP7/8/13/17/18/19)are significantly transcriptionally enriched in female *** results of RNA interference experiments for three most highly expressed OBP genes(CvesOBP17/18/19)in female antennae demonstrate that they are likely involved in parasitic processes of female wasps,as the wasps take a longer time to target the hosts when they are knoc ked down.
