Isolation and Selection of Beneficial Microorganism Used for Peanut Growing in Sandy Soil of Binhdinh Province, Vietnam

With the aim to apply the beneficial microorganisms to peanut （groundnut （Arachis hypogaea）） growing in sandy soil of Binhdinh province in Vietnam, the paper was conducted to study the isolation, selection of N-fixing, phosphate, potassium solubilizing and slime producing microorganism from sandy soil and peanut root samples, and evaluate the capability of selected isolates to adapt to the sandy soil condition. The isolation and selection of beneficial microbes were based on the biological activity of isolates, which was determined by acetylene reduction assay and nodulation on the peanut for Rhizobium spp., by testing the capability to solubilize Ca3（PO4）2 or fenspat in the growth medium for phosphate, potassium solubilizing microbes, and by measurement of the viscosity of hansen medium for slime producing microorganism. All isolates were evaluated for the effectiveness on the nutrition uptake and growth of peanut by carrying out at the greenhouse and field experiments. To evaluate the adaptation of selected isolates to the sandy soil condition, the experiments were carried out in the laboratory to determine the microbial density in suitable medium, containing different NaCI concentrations or with different pH or at different temperatures. The results showed that rhizobial strain RA18 had an N-fixing activity value of 3,458 ＋ 10.95 nmol C2H2/plant and can supply 30% of N required for peanut. The bacterial strain P 1107 is able to solubilize phosphate and can increase phosphorus uptake by 30% in peanut. Further, inoculation of peanut with the bacterial strain S3.1 can save 30% required mineral potassium, and the Lipomyces strain PT5.1 can produce the slime, which can provide the sandy soil to keep moisture for 15 d longer than the control without the inoculation. All selected isolates are able to grow at temperatures from 20 ℃ to 35 ℃, pH from 4.5 to 6.0 and the salinity of 0.2%o-0.6%o NaCI, and can well adapt to the sandy soil conditions.

Long-Term Improvement in Precautions for Flood Risk Mitigation:A Case Study in the Low-Lying Area of Central Vietnam

Local actors appear as inseparable components of the integrated flood risk mitigation strategy in *** this fact,this study examined the long-term improvement in precautions taken by commune authorities and households between two major floods in 1999 and 2017 by applying both quantitative and qualitative *** flood-prone villages were selected for a survey;one in a rural area and the other in a suburban area of thua thien Hue Province,central *** findings indicate that most villagers doubted the structural works’efficacy and were dissatisfied with the current efforts of local ***’self-preparation thus became the decisive factor in mitigating *** most households have paid greater attention to flood precautions in 2017,others seem to be ***-related barriers were the root causes restraining households in both rural and suburban *** suburban riverine residents were further identified as vulnerable by their limitations in upgrading structural measures,which was ascribed to the inconsistency in the ancient town’s preservation *** multidimensional comparison,in terms of vulnerability,emphasized the importance of space-function links in the suburb and the contradictions of different policy initiatives,such as landscape rehabilitation,disaster prevention,and livelihood maintenance.

Plants which contain unisexual flowers are subjected to genetic degradation and yield capacity reduction due to the easily *** gourd,one of species of the Cucurbitaceae which is predominantly cross-pollinating,is cultivated to widely use as vegetable in Vietnamese daily *** aim of this experiment was to evaluate the growth potential and fruit quality including fruit aroma of sponge gourd inbred *** line selection has been performed using self-pollinated method,so that sponge gourd lines would be recovered with high yielding and aroma and thereby recommended for further crop system in thua thien Hue province,Central *** experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design(RCBD)with three replications during the winter-spring season in *** data were observed and analyzed on seven inbred lines(1-MN1,1-MN2,5-MN1,7-MN1,13-MN2,15-MN1 and 15-MN2)derived from B29 accession(GBVN006904).The results indicated that inbred lines 13-MN2,1-MN2 and 15-MN1 attained more highly fruit weight and yield compared to the *** inbred lines consisting of 5-MN1,7-MN1,15-MN1 and 15-MN2 still retained the light aroma after *** inbred lines 1-MN2,7-MN1,13-MN2 and 15-MN1 are considered for appropriately using in breeding program of new luffa.

Corporate Governance and Debt Management of Vietnam＇s SMEs

The paper aims to examine the relationship between corporate governance and debt management of Vietnam＇s small and medium enterprises （SMEs）, in a case study of a specific enterprise. It reveals one case that corporate governance factors have strong correlation with performance, due to transparency to the lender, innovative and consistent to the debt management. The results indicate that timely reporting and level of disclosure positively affect corporate performance and ability to raise funds in the financial market. The paper seeds new light into the relationship between corporate governance and debt management of Vietnam＇s SMEs in current context. It finds ways to solve financial dilemma and raise corporate equity value that most SMEs are facing.

On Unparticle Searches through Photon-Photon Scattering

In this work, we study the effects of the spin-0 unparticle on γγ → γγ process. From the numerical results, we show that the cross section with unparticle effect should be about 1027 - 1030 times larger than the one that is confirmed by QED calculation. this could have important implications for unparticle searches and for the measurement of the photon-photon cross section.

The Statistical Distribution for 0-Deformed Crystal Lattice Vibration for Generic Atomic String

In this paper, a g-deformation of crystal lattice vibration for generic atomic string is suggested. The expression for energy spectrum depends on g-deformed parameter have been obtained. The statistical distribution of g-deformed crystal lattice vibration is calculated and this result is very much different from there of q-deformed crystal lattice vibration.

Polluter Pays Principle： Who Pays for Industrial Waste in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Rapid industrialization in Vietnam has resulted in the difficult task of finding means to properly manage the generation of industrial waste. In an attempt to deal with this problem, the Vietnamese government revised the Law on Environmental Protection of 2005, with which it imposed strict regulations on industrial waste generators and the waste they discharge. However, questions remain about the current industrial solid waste management system because of the discrepancy between the ideals embodied in the Law and the actual practices occurring in industry. We report here on the effectiveness of governmental policies, focusing on environmental performance in industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City （HCMC）, Vietnam. We examined government records, and reports from waste generators, as well as waste treatment methods at sites. In addition, on-site surveys were carried out at 44 companies in HCMC in 2009 and 2010 to obtain a better understanding of the companies＇ handling of and attitude toward the industrial waste they produced. Our results show that the incoherence of the revised Law and regulations in industrial waste management has caused a serious pressure on domestic landfills. We conclude that there is a strong need for change in the current regulatory and management system in order to increase the effectiveness of environmental management for future sustainable development.

Photodiode-Based Chua＇s Circuit with Light Controllability

We present a photodiode-based Chua＇s chaotic circuit that is controllable by light. The proposed circuit consists of an inductor, two passive capacitors, a photodiode-based variable resistor, and a positive feedback trans- conductor with negative nonlinearity. The chaotic dynamics of the circuit were verified by using the simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis analysis using the 0.35 #m complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor process parameters. The gain results （such as the time waveform~ frequency analysis, three-dimensional attractor, bifurcation and Lyapunov exponents diagrams） confirm that the chaotic behavior of the circuit could be controlled by light intensity via the photodiode-based variable resistor.

Knowledge of child nutrition when breastfeeding—A study of mothers living outside hanoi

Objective: To evaluate the knowledge of?nutrition?among mothers of children less than two years of age and changes in theoretical knowledge after a nutrition course. Method: A pilot study with a pre-post-test design. thirty mothers of children who were less than two years of age from outside hanoi participated in the study. The mothers’ knowledge of breastfeeding, supplementary food and diet when the child was suffering from diarrhea was collected using 19 self-reported questions. A one-day nutrition course at which the mothers answered the same questions before and after the course was run. Results: All the invited mothers were included in the study. There was a lack of knowledge about breastfeeding and nutrition at baseline, but it improved after the nutrition course. The greatest improvement in knowledge related to breastfeeding less than 30 minutes after delivery, not giving milk or fruit juice instead of breast milk, increasing the frequency of breastfeeding in the event of a smaller amount of milk and knowledge about giving supplementary food after six months. Moreover, the results revealed that the mothers reported better knowledge of the consumption and frequency of more healthy food supplements. Conclusion: There was a lack of knowledge about nutrition among the mothers with children less than two years of age. The course demonstrated effectiveness in every aspect of nutritional knowledge, tested in the posttest. The findings in this study could provide important information for authorities in the health sector to improve the nutritional state of children in the community.
