Synthesis and characterization of core/shell structured nanophosphors CePO_4:Tb@LaPO_4 by solvothermal method

Core/shell structured CePO4：Tb（Ⅲ）@LaPO4 and CePOa：Tb（Ⅲ） were successfully synthesized in tris（2-ethylhexyl） phosphate （TEHP） and diethylene glycol （DEG） solvents for comparison of the two techniques in open air and closed reaction vessel. Morphology and crystal structure of the core/shell nanophosphors were determined by using X-ray diffraction （XRD） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, which showed that nanophosphors had diameter of about 5-10 nm with the monoclinic monazite phase. The nanophosphors obtained by close vessel procedure showed smaller size, more homogeneity and pure crystallite. The luminescent measurements were done upon the different excitation wavelengths in ultraviolet region and at room temperatm＇e to elucidate the influences of the used solvents and the reaction temperatures. It was found that CePO4：Tb@LaPO4 preparedby the close vessel synthesis showed the intensity of green band of the transfer from 5D4 to 7F5 energy level, which was strongly increased, and the luminescent decay time was 3.2 ms, which was longer than that of naked CePO4：Tb phosphor.

Multifunctional intelligent fire-safe cotton fabric promises next-generation fire-fighting uniform and sen-sor ***,cotton fabrics’hygroscopicity and intrinsic flammability significantly impede their potential applications in ***,we report a superhydrophobic fireproof cotton fabric(PEI-APP-PEI-MXene)generated via sequential layer-by-layer deposition of polyethyleneimine(PEI),am-monium polyphosphate(APP),and titanium carbide(MXene),followed by hydrophobic treatment with silicone *** to untreated cotton,the treated cotton fabric with 10 polymolecular layers exhibits∼43%and∼42%reductions in the peak heat release rate and total heat release,respectively,a desired UL-94 V-0 rating,and a high limiting oxygen index(LOI)value of 39.5 vol.%.In addition to that,the treated fabrics displayed improved electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding and motion-sensing *** presented work provides a facile and effective surface modification approach to generate multifunctional cotton fabrics with promising practical applications.

The rate of textile waste generation worldwide has increased dramatically due to a rise in clothing consumption and ***,conversion of cotton-based,colored cotton-based,and blended cotton-polyethylene terephthalate(PET)textile waste materials into value-added chemicals(bioethanol,sorbitol,lactic acid,terephthalic acid(TPA),and ethylene glycol(EG))via enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation was *** order to enhance the efficiency of enzymatic saccharification,effective pretreatment methods for each type of textile waste were developed,respectively.A high glucose yield of 99.1%was obtained from white cotton-based textile waste after NaOH ***,the digestibility of the cellulose in colored cotton-based textile wastes was increased 1.38e1.75 times because of the removal of dye materials by HPAC-NaOH *** blended cottonPET samples showed good hydrolysis efficiency following PET removal via NaOHeethanol pretreatment,with a glucose yield of 92.49%.The sugar content produced via enzymatic hydrolysis was then converted into key platform chemicals(bioethanol,sorbitol,and lactic acid)via fermentation or *** maximum ethanol yield was achieved with the white T-shirt sample(537 mL/kg substrate),which was 3.2,2.1,and 2.6 times higher than those obtained with rice straw,pine wood,and oak wood,*** was selectively converted into sorbitol and LA at a yield of 70%and 83.67%,*** and EG were produced from blended cottonPET via NaOHeethanol *** integrated biorefinery process proposed here demonstrates significant potential for valorization of textile waste.

Behavior of noncircular tunnels excavated in stratified rock masses-Case of underground coal mines

The amount of tunnels excavated along stratified/sedimentary rock masses in Quangninh coal mine area,Vietnam, is gradually increasing. Rock mass in Quangninh is characterized by beddings between rock layers. The behavior of stratified rock masses surrounding the tunnels depends on both the intact rock and the beddings between rock layers. The main characteristics of stratified rock masses that need to be considered are their heterogeneity and anisotropy. Depending on the dip angle of rock layers, movements and failure zones developed surrounding the tunnels can be asymmetrical over the vertical axis of tunnel. This asymmetry causes adverse behaviors of the tunnel structures. The objective of this study is to highlight convergences and yielded zones developed in rock masses surrounding noncircular tunnels in Quangninh coal mine area using a finite element method. The presence of bedding joints is explicitly simulated. The numerical results indicated that with the increase in dip angle of bedding joints, the stress asymmetry over the tunnel vertical axis increases. It gradually leads to an asymmetry of the failure zone surrounding the tunnel. An increase of rock mass quality means a decrease of rock mass sensitivity to the discontinuities. In addition,a dip angle of the bedding joints of approximately 45° could be considered as the critical angle at which the rock mass mechanism changes between sliding and bending.

The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of chrysoeriol from Cardiospermum halicacabum in streptozotocin induced Wistar *** rats were categorized as control,diabetic control supplemented with 0,20 mg/kg chrysoeriol and 600μg/kg BW of glibenclamide for 45-day trial *** results indicated that the inclusion of chrysoeriol(20 mg/kg)showed a significant reduction in plasma glucose,hemoglobin and glycosylated hemoglobin level with a rising of plasma insulin ***,downregulated enzymes including glucose 6-phosphatase,fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase,and glycogen phosphorylase as well upregulated enzymes such as hexokinase,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase,pyruvate kinase,and hepatic glycogen *** was a diminish action found in liver glycogen synthase of tested rat with a rise in gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase,towards normal levels upon treatment with *** histopathological study confirmed that renewal of the beta cells of pancreatic of chrysoeriol and glibenclamide treated *** addition,the molecular docking of chrysoeriol against glycolytic enzymes including hexokinase,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase,pyruvate kinase,using Argus software shows chrysoeriol had greatest ligand binding energy as equivalent to glibenclamide,as a standard ***,chrysoeriol found to be non-toxic with potential regulation on glycemic control and upregulation of the carbohydrate metabolic enzymes.

Liver transplant(LT)is the curative treatment for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Bridge therapies are local treatments given to patients on the LT waitlist,to prevent tumor progression and to reduce the dropout *** presentation:We reported a 40-year-old man diagnosed with Barcenola-Clinic Liver Cancer BCLC intermediate stage HCC and Child-Pugh A5 hepatitis B virus cirrhosis who underwent combined bridge therapies to ***,the patient received transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)for two times and showed a partial *** he underwent stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT)with a total dose of 45 Gy in 3 *** months later,the tumor size and serum protein induced by Vitamin K absence or antagonists-II,alpha fetoprotein levels decreased *** June 2019 a suitable donor was found and his LT was successfully ***:We propose that a combination of TACE and SBRT was feasible as bridge therapy for HCC patients on the LT waitlist.

Induction of Anthracnose Disease Resistance on Chili Fruit by Treatment of Oligochitosan—Nanosilica Hybrid Material

Oligochitosan (OC) with molecular weight Mw of 5000 g/mol was prepared by gamma Co-60 ray irradiation of chitosan solution. Nanosilica (nSiO2) with the size of 10 - 30 nm was synthesized by calcination of acid treated rice husk. The mixture of 1% OC - 1% nSiO2 was prepared by dispersion of nSiO2 in OC solution. The morphology of nSiO2 in the mixture of OC-nSiO2 was measured from images of transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of foliar application of the mixture of OC-nSiO2 on the induction of resistance against anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides fungus on chili fruits was investigated. Results indicated that foliar application of OC-nSiO2 with the concentration of 60 mg/l - 60 mg/l was found to be as the optimal treatment that reduced the disease severity on chili fruits to 22.2% compared with 90.0% of the control. Thus, OC-nSiO2 hybrid material could be considered as an effective biotic elicitor to prevent anthracnose disease infection for chili fruits. Furthermore, the prepared OC-nSiO2 hybrid material can also be used as an environmentally friendly agrochemical product for sustainable development of agriculture.
