The compressive strength of self-compacting concrete(SCC)needs to be determined during the construction design *** paper shows that the compressive strength of SCC(CS of SCC)can be successfully predicted from mix design and curing age by a machine learning(ML)technique named the Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGB)algorithm,including non-hybrid and hybrid *** ML techniques,such as Linear regression(LR),K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Decision Trees(DTR),Random Forest(RF),Gradient Boosting(GB),and Artificial Neural Network using two training algorithms LBFGS and SGD(denoted as ANN_LBFGS and ANN_SGD),are also compared with the XGB ***,the hybrid models of eight ML techniques and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)are constructed to highlight the reliability and accuracy of SCC compressive strength prediction by the XGB_PSO hybrid *** highest number of SCC samples available in the literature is collected for building the ML *** with previously published works’performance,the proposed XGB method,both hybrid and non-hybrid models,is the most reliable and robust of the examined techniques,and is more accurate than existing ML methods(R2=0.9644,RMSE=4.7801,and MAE=3.4832).Therefore,the XGB model can be used as a practical tool for engineers in predicting the CS of SCC.

For human-machine communication to be as effective as human-tohuman communication, research on speech emotion recognition is *** the models and the classifiers used to recognize emotions, neural networks appear to be promising due to the network’s ability to learn and the diversity in configuration. Following the convolutional neural network, a capsuleneural network (CapsNet) with inputs and outputs that are not scalar quantitiesbut vectors allows the network to determine the part-whole relationships thatare specific 6 for an object. this paper performs speech emotion recognition basedon CapsNet. The corpora for speech emotion recognition have been augmented byadding white noise and changing voices. The feature parameters of the recognition system input are mel spectrum images along with the characteristics of thesound source, vocal tract and prosody. For the German emotional corpus EMODB, the average accuracy score for 4 emotions, neutral, boredom, anger and happiness, is 99.69%. For Vietnamese emotional corpus BKEmo, this score is94.23% for 4 emotions, neutral, sadness, anger and happiness. The accuracy scoreis highest when combining all the above feature parameters, and this scoreincreases significantly when combining mel spectrum images with the featuresdirectly related to the fundamental frequency.

Effect of heating time on the structural,morphology,optical,and photocatalytic properties of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)nanosheets prepared at 550℃in Ar atmosphere is *** investigations are carried out by using x-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),UV-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(PL).At a heating temperature of 550℃,g-C3N4 nanocrystals are formed after 0.5 h and become more orderly as the heating time *** surface area of the g-C3N4 nanosheets significantly increases as the preparation time *** g-C3N4 prepared in 2.5 h shows the highest photocatalytic performance,decomposing completely 10 ppm RhB solution under xenon lamp irradiation for 2.0 h.

Environmental degradation is one of the most debatable topics at international forums and it is considered a prime concern for the entire ***,researchers and policymakers have turned their attention from conventional economic growth to green *** the existing literature has discussed several determinants of green growth,the impact of economic policy uncertainty(EPU),renewable energy consumption(RENE),and institutional quality(IQ)on green growth(GGDP)is relatively ***,this study is the earliest attempt to investigate the impact of EPU,IQ,and RENE on GGDP for emerging seven(E-7)countries from 1996 to *** doing so,we apply panel quantile regression(PQR).The empirical findings delineate that EPU has a negative impact on GGDP,whereas IQ and RENE enhance the GGDP in E-7 *** on the outcomes,this study suggests policy implications for achieving targets of the SDG 07,SDG 08,SDG 13,and SDG *** governments of these countries can achieve higher GGDP by ensuring political stability and reliable macroeconomic policies and through making such flexible policies that can easily control or address unpredictable future economic issues.

Rice （Oryza sativa） is sensitive to salinity, but the salt tolerance level differs among cultivars,which might result from natural variations in the genes that are responsible for salt tolerance. High-affinitypotassium transporter （HKTs） has been proven to be involved in salt tolerance in plants. Therefore, wescreened for natural nucleotide polymorphism in the coding sequence of OsHKT1, which encodes the HKTprotein in eight Vietnamese rice cultivars differing in salt tolerance level. In total, seven nucleotidesubstitutions in coding sequence of OsHKT1 were found, including two non-synonymous and five synonymoussubstitutions. Further analysis revealed that these two non-synonymous nucleotide substitutions （G50Tand T1209A） caused changes in amino acids （Gly17Val and Asp403Glu） at signal peptide and the loop ofthe sixth transmembrane domain, respectively. To assess the potential effect of these substitutions on theprotein function, the 3D structure of HKT protein variants was modelled by using PHYRE2 webserver. Theresults showed that no difference was observed when compared those predicted 3D structure of HKTprotein variants with each other. In addition, the codon bias of synonymous substitutions cannot clearlyshow correlation with salt tolerance level. It might be interesting to further investigate the functional roles ofdetected non-synonymous substitutions as it might correlate to salt tolerance in rice.

this paper evaluates the adsorption capacity of chemically sugarcane bagasses with sodium hydroxide(SHS),citric acid(CAS),tartaric acid(TAS)and unmodified sugarcane bagasse(SB)for cadmium adsorption in water *** results prove adsorption capacity for Cd(II)increases after chemical modification and the adsorption fits perfectly with the Langmuir *** had the highest maximum adsorption capacity of 45.45 mg/g followed by TAS with 38.46 mg/g and SHS with 29.41 at optimum pH 5.0 and 120 minutes equilibrium time while 1 g SB removed 18.8 mg Cd(II)in the same *** kinetics study of the process followed a pseudo-secondorder rate expression,that indicated a strong interaction between the biosorbents and *** sugarcane bagasse and modified sugarcane bagasse were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)*** chemical modification was confirmed by the presence of carboxyl and esters groups created at 1,738 *** estimation of acid groups in modified materials shows the enhancement of this group after *** the other hand,desorption studies showed the high leaching of cadmium ion from the biosorbent leading to the efficient reutilization of materials.

Important advances during the last decade have been made in understanding the complex etiopathogenesis of Crohn’s disease(CD).While many gaps in our knowledge still exist,it has been suggested that the etiology of CD is multifactorial including genetic,environmental and infectious *** most widely accepted theory states that CD is caused by an aggressive immune response to infectious agents in genetically predisposed *** rise of genome-wide association studies allowed the identification of loci and genetic variants in several components of host innate and adaptive immune responses to microorganisms in the gut,highlighting an implication of intestinal microbiota in CD ***,numerous independent studies reported a dysbiosis,i.e.,a modification of intestinal microbiota composition,with an imbalance between the abundance of beneficial and harmful *** microorganisms including viruses,yeasts,fungi and bacteria have been postulated as potential CD pathogens,based on epidemiological,clinicopathological,genetic and experimental evidence,their precise role in this disease is not clearly *** review summarizes the current knowledge of the infectious agents associated with an increased risk of developing *** approaches to modulate the intestinal dysbiosis and to target the putative CD-associated pathogens,as well as their potential mechanisms of action are also discussed.

Urea-assisted natural seawater electrolysis is an emerging technology that is effective for grid-scale carbon-neutral hydrogen mass production yet *** scaling relations is an effective strategy to break through the bottleneck of natural seawater ***,by DFT calculation,we demonstrated that the interface boundaries between Ni_(2)P and MoO_(2) play an essential role in the selfrelaxation of the Ni-O interfacial bond,effectively modulating a coordination number of intermediates to control independently their adsorption-free energy,thus circumventing the adsorption-energy scaling *** this conceptual model,a well-defined 3D F-doped Ni_(2)P-MoO_(2) heterostructure microrod array was rationally designed via an interfacial engineering strategy toward urea-assisted natural seawater *** a result,the F-Ni_(2)P-MoO_(2) exhibits eminently active and durable bifunctional catalysts for both HER and OER in acid,alkaline,and alkaline sea water-based *** in-situ analysis,we found that a thin amorphous layer of NiOOH,which is evolved from the Ni_(2)P during anodic reaction,is real catalytic active sites for the OER and UOR ***,such electrode-assembled urea-assisted natural seawater electrolyzer requires low voltages of 1.29 and 1.75 V to drive 10 and600 mA cm^(-2)and demonstrates superior durability by operating continuously for 100 h at 100 mA cm^(-2),beyond commercial Pt/C||RuO_(2) and most previous reports.

Understanding the relationship between fish parental age and offspring performance over their life cycle is crucial for *** study investigates the effect of parental age for both 1-and 2-year-old fish on the growth and survival rates of their larval to grow-out stages for two wild and domesticated strains of bighead catfish(Clarias macrocephalus).Fish were sampled from the Vietnamese Mekong Delta where wild adult fish were collected from a conservation area in Ca Mau Province and domesticated fish were taken from a hatchery in Can *** offspring treatments of 1-and 2-year-old broodstock strains were reared for 3 successive periods:40 days for fingerling rearing in static tanks with water exchange,60 days for juveniles,and 90 days for grow-out in recirculating *** final weight of fish at 190 days varied from 96.7 to 144.7 *** growth of offspring was not affected by parental age(P>0.05),over the 3 rearing ***,the domesticated fish strain showed significantly better growth rates than the wild fish strain(P<0.05).Feed conversion ratios were comparable across fish *** rates did not differ at the fingerling(21.8%-36.4%)and juvenile(69.0%-73.3%)***,significant differences were found at the grow-out stage(69.3%-84.0%),with offspring from 2-year-old parents of both strains having greater survival ***,1-and 2-year-old fish appear to be suitable for bighead catfish breeders.
