Examining unobserved factors associated with red light running in Vietnam:A latent class model analysis

Opportunistic bacteremia in adult HIV-infected patients is a normal co-infectious condition caused by Gram-negative bacilli. Respiratory infections, including cough, shortness of breath, and chest pain and skin infection with eruptions, pustules and itchiness, are common complaints in the setting of late HIV infection. The variety of infections ranges from mild, self-limited viral, bacteremia and fungal infections to severe, life-threatening demanding urgent care and hospitalization. Varicella pneumonia, for instance, is the most severe complication of chickenpox in HIV infected adults, potentially refractory, fulminant respiratory failure can ensue. Patients with impaired immune status and chronic lung disease are at an increased risk. In the United States as well as in Vietnam, bacterial/viral pneumonia and skin infection are the two most common HIV-associated conditions. While globally the incidence of opportunistic infection has decreased since the introduction of highly active antiretroviral therapy during the last 3 decades, HIV-associated diseases remain a significant source of mortality, thus any manifestation must be taken seriously. This study will present the most common HIV-related pulmonary and skin infections and provide an overview of the epidemiology, characteristic clinical and chest radiograph findings, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention globally as well in Vietnam. Though the extensive efforts of the Vietnamese Government during last decade contributed to a valuable decrease, yet epidemic in Vietnam still remains high, ranking Vietnam 5th in the South-East region. The second part of the study focuses on a unique and severe HIV case report of a 35-year-old man, with a rare form of pneumonia caused by Acitenobacter spp. concomitant with a prolonged and disseminating skin infection. Aim:Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are an excellent potential source of cells for bone tissue engineering due to their excellent renewal ability and osteogenic differentiation *** study was designed to evaluate the bone formation properties of a demineralized cancellous bone scaffold seeded with MSCs,with or without periosteum,in a critical size bone defect model in ***:Rabbit culture-expanded bone marrow(BM)-MSCs were seeded onto a human demineralized cancellous bone(HDCB)*** defects measuring 15 mm in length were created in each radius.A total of 56 bone defects in 28 rabbits were randomly assigned to one of the 4 groups for scaffold implantation:Group 1:HDCB graft only;Group 2:periosteum-wrapped HDCB graft;Group 3:HDCB graft seeded with BM-MSCs and Group 4:periosteum-wrapped HDCB graft seeded with *** rabbits were sacrificed 12 weeks after surgery for gross observation,radiological assessment,histological analyses and biomechanical ***:New bone(NB)formation and bone healing were successfully achieved,both radiologically and histologically,on demineralized cancellous bone graft seeded with *** were improved when BM-MSCs were associated with ***:This study demonstrates that repair of bone defects in a rabbit model can be achieved through bone grafting using BM-MSCs,implanted on a demineralized cancellous bone *** formation of NB was optimized when combined with the preservation of periosteum at the site of injury.

We use archival ALMA observations of the CO(2-1)and SiO(5-4)molecular line emissions of AGB star R Hya to illustrate the relative contributions of rotation,expansion and line broadening to the morphology and kinematics of the circumstellar envelope(CSE)within some~70 au(~0."5)from the centre of the *** give evidence for rotation and important line broadening to dominate the inner region,within~14 au(~100 mas)from the centre of the *** former is about an axis that projects a few degrees west of north and has a projected rotation velocity of a few km s^(-1).The latter occurs within some 7-14 au(50-100 mas)from the centre of the star,with the line width reaching two to three times its value outside this *** suggest that it is caused by shocks induced by stellar pulsations and convective cell *** show the importance of properly accounting for the observed line broadening when discussing rotation and evaluating the radial dependence of the rotation velocity.

Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Vietnam： Current Status and Future Directions

In recent years, there have been an increasing number of hematologic patients in Vietnam. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation （HSCT） is fast becoming an effective method to cure many benign and malignant blood disorders. Nine transplant centers are operating throughout Vietnam. HCMC Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital （BTH） is one of these centers where bone marrow, peripheral blood and cord blood stem cell transplantation were first conducted in our country. At BTH, half of the patients received allogeneic HSCT, mainly from matched sibling donors due to lack of a national bone marrow donor registry. While acute myeloid leukemia was a common indication of allogeneic HSCT, most of the patients undergoing autologous HSCT had multiple myeloma. One major issue we encountered concerned bacterial and fungal infections during neutropenia period. Because of an endemic area, CMV reactivation frequently occurred. Five-year overall survival （OS） and event-free survival （EFS） were 47% and 46%, respectively. To create more opportunities for patients, our future directions will focus on some new transplant procedures, such as haploidentical, unrelated and cord blood transplantation.

Improving irrigation monitoring and efficiency is a current priority of the Government of Vietnam, focusing primarily on the agricultural sector which consumes most of the available surface and groundwater. This paper presents how remote sensing can be used in an integrated manner to achieve better understanding of key eco-hydrological processes including precipitation, evapotran-spiration, irrigation and crop growth. The results indicated that Normalized Difference Vegetation Index derived from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) can be applied to determine irrigated pixels on a spatial and temporal basis. The validation using measured water level showed a Pearson correlation of 0.7 proving the high accuracy of this method. The inclusion of these technologies is deemed necessary to improve water resources monitoring and management and hence, ensure long-term drought resilience and water and food security. Ca River Basin in the central Vietnam was selected as a case study to test this approach.

量词是汉语和越南语词汇中的一个丰富而复杂的大类,无论是在汉语还是在越南语中,量词的数量都较多、使用频率较高,而且用法也都相当复杂,在汉越词汇中都占有重要地位。汉越语量词的名称存在一点差别,越语把“量词”称为“类词”,但在性质与用法上跟汉语的量词相同(为了方便研究,本文把越语“类词”称为“量词”)。量词的独特语义与用法特征逐渐得到了国内外语言学界的关注,进行了很多与此有关的研究,并提出了许多的宝贵的理论成果。现代汉语把量词分为三大类:名量词、动量词、复合量词。名量词又分为六类:个体量词、集合量词、部分量词、度量衡量词、容器量词、临时量词,其中集合量词是本文研究的重点。本文将“汉语集合量词”与“越南语集合量词”作为本文研究对象。汉语集合量词使用频率比越南语高,研究成果也更加全面,而越南语集合量词目前的研究成果还不够成熟。虽然汉越语两种语言的集合量词具有很多共同之处,但是汉越两语的语言系统各有特色,它们之间仍存在许多差异,这一点给学习汉语的越南学生造成较大的障碍。本文在前辈对量词研究的基础上将汉越语集合量词进行具体分析与对比研究,找出汉越语集合量词之间的异同点,让越南留学生深入领会汉越集合量词的语义与句法功能,希望能够为学汉语的越南学生、学越南语的中国学生提供一份学习及研究集合量词的参考资料。本文研究主要的内容:说明本文的研究对象和选题意义,整理汉越语量词的定义与分类,说明与本文研究相关的基本概念,介绍与本文论题有关的研究现状,对本文的研究对象作了定量分析,并阐明了本研究使用的理论与方法。本文对汉语和越南语集合量词的组合能力进行对比,考察两种语言的集合量词跟数词、指示代词、形容词的差异。并对汉越集合量词重叠形式进行比较,以此作为基础进一步考察它们句法意义和句法功能之间的差异。本文对汉语和越南语集合量词“堆”与“??ng”、“副”与“b?”进行个案研究,主要是考察汉语量词“堆”与“副”的产生及其历史演变,然后从它们的语义特征、计量的对象与语义色彩对汉越语两种语言进行比较。
