Fourty-three species of microfungi from bamboo are treated,including one new family,Occultibambusaceae,three new genera,Neoanthostomella,Occultibambusa and Seriascoma,27 new species,one renamed species and 15 redescribed or re-illustrated species,and four designated reference specimens are treated in this paper,the majority of which are saprobic on dead *** determine species identification,separate phylogenetical analyses for each group are carried out,based on molecular data from this study and sequences downloaded from *** similar species and phylogenetically close taxa are compared and *** addition a list of bambusicolous fungi published since hyde and colleagues in 2002 is provided.

Medication beliefs predict medication adherence in ambulatory patients with decompensated cirrhosis

AIM To investigate the impact of medication beliefs, illness perceptions and quality of life on medication adherence in people with decompensated *** One hundred adults with decompensated cirrhosis completed a structured questionnaire when they attended for routine outpatient hepatology review. Measures of self-reported medication adherence(Morisky Medication Adherence Scale), beliefs surrounding medications(Beliefs about Medicines Questionnaire), perceptions of illness and medicines(Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire), and quality of life(Chronic Liver Disease Questionnaire) were examined. Clinical data were obtained via patient history and review of medical records. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and stepwise backwards regression techniques were used to construct the multivariable logistic regression model. Statistical significance was set at alpha = *** Medication adherence was " high " in 42 % o f participants, "Medium" in 37%, and "Low" in 21%. Compared to patients with "high" adherence, those with "Medium" or "Low" adherence were more likely to report difficulty affording their medications(P helpfulness(P = 0.003) and stronger medication concerns relative to medication necessity beliefs(P = 0.003). People with "Low" adherence also experienced greater symptom burden and poorer quality of life, including more frequent abdominal pain(P = 0.023), shortness of breath(P = 0.030), and emotional disturbances(P = 0.050). Multivariable analysis identified having stronger medication concerns relative to necessity beliefs(Necessity-Concerns Differential ≤ 5, OR = 3.66, 95%CI: 1.18-11.40) and more frequent shortness of breath(shortness of breath score ≤ 3, OR = 3.87,95%CI: 1.22-12.25) as independent predictors of "Low"*** The association between "Low" adherence and patients having strong concerns or doubting the necessity or helpfulness of their medications should be explor

Synthesis, SAR, and in Silico ADME Screening Studies of Some 9-Amino-3-Phenylacridone Derivatives as Topoisomerase II Inhibitors

Cancer is a leading cause of death globally, claiming about 9.6 million lives and approximately 420 million new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the world by the year 2025. The aim of this study was to synthesize and computationally evaluate pharmacological potential of some derivatives of 9-amino-3-phenylacridone, as topoisomerase II (Topo II) inhibitors. In this study, 10 derivatives of 3-phenyl-9-aminoacridone were chemically synthesized and characterized, and the potential pharmacological indications of these compounds were computationally predicted by methods such as ADMET prediction, molecular target prediction and molecular docking. The results showed that two derivatives (58e and 58j) were non-permeant of blood-brain barrier, and this property was found similar to that of amsacrine and etoposide. The results of molecular docking of the ten derivatives of 3-phenyl-9-aminoacridone that were synthesized in this work showed that the synthetic compounds (58a-j) and the standard drugs have overall best binding affinities for human acetylcholine esterase than butyrylcholinesterase, and overall best binding affinities for human topo IIα than human topo IIβ. Overall, the results of this study suggest that the synthetic compounds 58a, 58c, 58f, 58g, and 58i could probably inhibit topo IIα by catalytic inhibition as seen with amsacrine, but only 58b and 58e possessed DNA non-intercalation properties as seen with etoposide, serving as topo II poison. In conclusion, this study showed that 3-phenyl-9-aminoacridone derivatives are potential inhibitor of topo IIα/β both by catalytic inhibition and poison as non-intercalator of DNA.

The history of assigning ranks to fungi,as well as the relative importance of using divergence time estimates is *** paper pays tribute to the major mycological players,and especially to David hawksworth on his 70th birthday and his contribution to fungal ranking in Systema Ascomycetum from 1982 to *** the conclusion of the latter series,the ranking continued with the Outlines of Ascomycota in 2007 and 2010 and more recently with specific classes in‘Towards an outline of Sordariomycetes’and‘Families of Dothideomycetes’.Earlier classifications based on phenotype were certainly more subjective;however,remarkably many of these old arrangements have stood the test of *** recently,phylogenetic analyses have provided evidence towards a natural classification,resulting in significant changes in many *** classification arrangements however,are still subjective and dependent on the taxa analysed,resulting in different taxonomic interpretations and schemes,particularly when it comes to ***,what have been considered as genera by some,have been introduced as families by *** recently,estimation of divergence times using molecular clock methods have been used as objective evidence for higher ranking of taxa.A divergence period(i.e.200–300 MYA)can be used as a criterion to infer when a group of related taxa evolved and what rank they should be *** compiled data on divergence times for various higher ranking taxa in the Kingdom *** kingdom evolved 1000–1600 MYA(Stenian–Calymmian),while the presently accepted phyla evolved between 358 and 541 MYA(Devonian–Cambrian).Divergence times for subphyla are generally between 358 and 485 MYA(Devonian–Ordovician),those of classes 145–358 MYA(Jurassic–Carboniferous),subclasses 66–358 MYA(Cretaceous–Carboniferous),orders 23–252 MYA(Paleogene–Triassic),families 2.8–145 MYA(Neogene–Cretaceous),and genera 2.8–66 MYA(Neogene–Paleogene).Thus,there are wide discrepancies in the times diffe

Dynamics and origin of cytokinins involved in plant manipulation by a leaf-mining insect

Several herbivorous insects and plant-associated microorganisms control the phytohormonal balance, thus enabling them to successfully exploit the plant by inhibiting plant defenses and withdrawing plant resources for their own benefit. The leaf-mining moth Phyllonorycter blancardella modifies the cytokinin （CK） profile of mined leaf-tissues, and the insect symbiotic bacteria Wolbachia is involved in the plant manipulation to the benefit of the insect host. To gain a deeper understanding into the possible origin and dynamics of CKs, we conducted an extensive characterization of CKs in larvae and in infected apple leaves. Our results show the enhanced CK levels in mines, both on green and yellow leaves, allowing insects to control their nutritional supply under fluctuating environmental conditions. The spatial distribution of CKs within the mined leaves shows that hormone manipulation is strictly limited to the mine suggesting the absence of CK translocation from distant leaf areas toward the insect feeding site. Mass spectrometry analyses reveal that major CK types accumulating in mines and larvae are similar to what is observed for most gall-inducers, suggesting that strategies underlying the plant manipulation may be shared between herbivorous insects with distinct life histories. Results further show that CKs are detected in the highest levels in larvae, reinforcing our hypothesis that CKs accumulating in the mines originate from the insect itself. Presence of bacteria- specific methylthio-CKs is consistent with previous results suggesting that insect bacterial symbionts contribute to the observed phenotype. Our study provides key findings toward the understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying this intricate plant-insect-microbe interaction.

通过共溶剂水热法制备五氧化二钒纳米棒,使用X射线衍射仪(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM、EDS)、电化学工作站和蓝电测试系统对样品的形貌结构和电化学性能进行分析。结果表明,所得样品均为纯V_2O_5相,结晶度较高;金属离子掺杂后V_2O_5的形貌由棒状变成微球状。CV曲线结果表明,该材料作为锂离子电池正极材料时具有良好的可逆性;掺杂金属铜离子的V_2O_5表现出更好的电化学性能,初始比容量为273.30 m A·h/g,在循环50次后,容量保持率为99.04%;金属铜离子的掺杂可进一步提高材料的电化学性能。

We are proud to publish a special issue of Fungal Diversity in honour of the contributions made by Erio Camporesi,who has promoted mycological research as a prodigious amateur mycologist and collector of *** special issue includes Fungal Diversity notes 11,with many taxa named in Erio’s honour and a monograph of hyaline-spored Coelomycetes,both incorporating many of Erio’s collections.
