In this clinical trial, 90 patients admitted to orthopedics ward, Shahid Mohammadi Hospital, Bandar Abbass with a long bone fracture, comminuted more than 30%, were randomly divided into two groups. In the first group, after the completion of the operation, a single hemovaccum drain was inserted into the iliac crest wound, the site of cancellous bone removal, whereas the second group didn’t receive a drain. The two groups were followed for at least six months and the results were compared with Chi-Square and T-Tests. The two groups, at the end of the follow up period, had no statistically significant difference with regard to pain severity and need for dressing change (in the immediate postoperative period), hematoma formation and infection. So it seems that drain insertion in the wound of patients in whom cancellous bone is removed from the iliac crest, is not necessary.

Ultraviolet-visible UV-Vis diffuse reflectance measurements of irradiated lithium tetra-borate glass have been acquired using. Evolution 600 Spectrophotometer equipped with praying Mantis Diffuse Reflectance Accessory DRA base upon the onset of the diffuse reflectance spectra of the powdered or bulk materials. Also the absorption edge and band gap energies of the prepared glass were determined. The optical energy gap is calculated and found to be (3.0 - 3.5) eV. Which is in close agreement to the one calculated for r = 1/2, i.e. the transition mechanism, is accordingly direct allowed transition. The density increases from 3.1 to 3.9 gm/cm3 for the undoped and doped glass.

Water contaminated with pathogenic microbes is considered as one of the most common routes for transmitting diseases in human *** methods have been applied for the decontamination of microbes in contaminated *** the current study,an easy to do hydrothermal method has been used for the preparation of TiO_(2)-Ag *** obtained material was characterised using a scanning electron microscope(SEM)and fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy(FTIR).The morphological appearance of the obtained nanoparticles was in the shape of a sphere with a size range of 60-90 *** antimicrobial activity of the prepared nanoparticles was tested against several pathogenic bacteria and *** obtained results proved that the nanoparticles succeeded to affect all the tested microbes in the following order:Bacillus cereus ATCC6633>Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC9027=Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC13883>Vibrio cholera ATCC700=Candida albicans ATCC 700=Escherichia coli NCTC10418>Staphylococcus aureus *** minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of the prepared nanoparticles varied among the tested microbes at range of 12 mg/ml and 25 mg/*** results encourage the application of prepared TiO_(2)-Ag nanoparticles for treatment of microbe-contaminated waters.

鉴于利用阻尼可调半主动悬架进行侧倾力矩分配控制缺乏完善的理论依据,根据调节阻尼以实现变刚度变阻尼悬架的思路,将磁流变减振器(MRD)半主动悬架视为变刚度变阻尼的悬架系统,无需对结构进行修改。建立了整车转向和悬架综合非线性模型,采用二次非线性轮胎模型以构建转向和悬架的关联,以中性转向为控制目标设计了侧倾力矩分配系数ε的非线性控制器,同时设计了3个模糊控制器以控制车身姿态,并将ε和车身姿态控制相结合,通过解耦运算得到控制4个车轮处磁流变减振器的控制力。仿真结果证实了所提控制策略的有效性。进行侧倾力矩分配控制的MRD半主动悬架不仅实现了良好的操纵稳定性,同时也保持了较好的平顺性。

AIM： To study the role of ultrasound biomicroscopy（UBM） in the assessment of the bleb function after trabeculectomy with mitomycin C（MMC）. METHODS： This was a cross-sectional study including all cases had undergone trabeculectomy with MMC 0.2 mg/mL for 3 min. Participants were recruited from the follow-up cases at Department of Ophthalmology, Tanta University in the period from August 2015 to August 2016. Full history taking and ophthalmological examination were performed. Intraocular pressure（IOP） was measured using Goldmann applanation tonometry and the history of prescribed postoperative antiglaucoma medications was recorded. Accordingly, the trabeculectomy blebs were divided clinically into successful blebs when the IOP post-operative was ≤18 mmHg without medications. Scanning examination of the filtering bleb using UBM examination was performed at the period from 2 to 36 mo after trabeculectomy（13.6±9.7 m o）. RESULTS： This study included 33 trabeculectomy filtering blebs of 25 patients（9 males and 16 females）. The mean age of patients was 53.2±14.2 y（range 25-71y）. We had 20 eyes with complete success, 9 eyes with qualified success, and 4 eyes with failure after trabeculectomy with MMC. The blebs were classified into successful blebs（IOP ≤18 mmHg without antiglaucoma medications）, others were classified into qualified successful and failed blebs. There was a significant correlation between certain UBM findings（intra-bleb reflectivity, draining sub-scleral tract, bleb height, and intrableb fluid cysts） and cases with different grades of clinical functional success（P〈0.01）.CONCLUSION： UBM is an objective tool in the functional assessment of the post-trabeculectomy filtering bleb through a significant correlation between certain UBM parameters and the different grades of clinical functional success.

目的:建筑物的材质信息是灾害评估和城市调查等领域的重要信息。本文旨在利用高光谱遥感影像提取地面建筑物的表面材质信息(包括材质类型和主要组成成份),并对提取方法进行对比,给出应用建议。创新点:对建筑物材料进行光谱测试,并对其高光谱响应规律进行分析,找出有诊断意义的光谱位置;基于实验和验证得出应用方法的适应性,以提高信息提取精度。方法:1.设计建筑物材质信息提取流程(图1),并对高光谱数据进行基础处理;2.对建筑物材料进行光谱测试(波长范围为350~2500 nm,图3),并完成各类建筑物的诊断性光谱分析;3.利用光谱角度法(公式(1))和光谱信息散度法(公式(2))进行材质信息提取(图5和6);4.综合分析两种方法的应用过程与控制参数和准确率的关系。结论:1.两种方法皆可提取建筑物材质信息,但在应用过程中需要进行参数的适应性调整,这是提高准确率的关键;2.在建筑物材质信息提取方面,光谱角度法的提取准确率略高于光谱散度法。

Astrodaucus persicus as a new source of bioinsectisides against malaria vector, Anopheles stephensi

Objective: To determine the larvicidal activities of petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and methanol fractions of roots and fruits extracts of Astrodaucus persicus from Apiaceae family against malaria vector, Anopheles stephensi(An. stephensi).Methods: Twenty five third instar larvae of An. stephensi were exposed to various concentrations(10–160 g/L) of fractions and were assayed according to World Health Organization protocol. The larval mortality was calculated after 24 h ***: Among tested fractions, the highest larvicidal efficacy was observed from ethyl acetate fraction of fruits extract with 50% and 90% mortality values(LC_(50) and LC_(90)) of34.49 g/L and 108.61 g/L, respectively. Chloroform fraction of fruits extract was the second larvicidal sample with LC_(50) of 45.11 g/L and LC_(90) of 139.36 g/L. Petroleum ether fractions of fruits and roots and methanol fraction of fruits showed moderate toxicity against An. ***: Astrodaucus persicus is a potential source of valuable and natural larvicidal compounds against malaria vector, An. stephensi and can be used in mosquitoes control programs as an alternative to synthetic insecticides.

Is biliary bile acid a good predictor for acute cellular rejection in living donor liver transplantation?

BACKGROUND:In liver transplantation,acute cellular rejection(ACR)is still a major complication that can lead to *** secretion has been considered as a marker of early graft function. METHODS:The study included 41 adults who received living donor liver transplantation(LDLT)at Kyoto University Hospital between April 2007 and February 2008. The patients were stratified according to the presence or absence of *** samples were collected from donors once and from recipients every other day for the first 2 weeks after *** bile acid(BA)and taurine-conjugated bile acid(TCBA)in bile were measured by magnetic resonance *** recipient/donor (R/D)BA ratio and R/D TCBA ratio were calculated. RESULTS:The ACR group(n=12)showed a greater decrease in BA post-transplantation than the non-ACR group,but this difference was not statistically significant. On both day 7 and day 9 post-transplantation the R/D TCBA was significantly different between the two groups (P=0.038 on day 7 and P=0.036 on day 9).The R/D TCBA ratio≥0.5 on days 7 and 9,and≥0.38 on day 11 post- transplantation were associated with better ACR-free survival. CONCLUSION:The recipient/donor TCBA ratio can be a predictor for ACR after LDLT as early as post- transplantation day 7.

The effects of gamma irradiation on absorption properties of Carbol Fuchsin (CF) with crystal violet dyed Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA) blended for possible use in dosimetry and measurement of radiation dose in gamma rays have been studied using UV-Visible spectrophotometer method. The films were irradiated to accumulated doses from (10 to 70) Gy using Co60 gamma ray source at a constant dose rate. The absorption spectra were measured using UV-Visible spectrophotometer in the wave length range (200 to 900) nm, resulting in a decrease of the absorbance at 560 nm band peak with increasing dose. Regarding to the IR transmittance it’s appearing that for the samples with crystal violet the band at 1716 divided two small bands which become obvious for the irradiated one which indicate also the effect of gamma doses. In this study, the less Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM), the better is the dosimeter. The FWHM due to sharpness in the band peak and this is useful for determine the fine dosimeter.
