Anti-inflammatory,analgesic and antipyretic activity of methanolic Tecomaria capensis leaves extract

Objective:To evaluate the analgesic,anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity of methanolic Tecomaria capensis(***) leaves extract using different models in ***: Methanolic *** leaves extract(100,300,1000 and 2000 mg/kg body weight) was given to rats orally to observe acute toxicity,and observed for 14 *** activity was evaluated using tail immersion and formalin induced paw licking models in ***-inflammatory activity was evaluated using carrageenan induced paw edema model in *** activity was evaluated using brewer's yeast induced pyrexia model in *** *** leaves extract were given at dose of 100,200 and 500 mg/kg ***:Results demonstrated that the no mortality was reported even after 14 *** indicated that the methanol extract was safe up to a single dose of 2000 mg/kg body weight Methanolic 71 capensis leaves extract(100,200 and 500 mg/kg p.o.) significantly increased the latency period in the tail immersion test,reduced the licking time in both the neurogenic and inflammatory phases in the formalin *** *** leaves extract(100,200 and 500 mg/kg p.o.) significantly prevented increase in volume of paw edema. Methanolic *** leaves extract at the doses of(100,200 and 500 mg/kg p.o.) significantly decreased the rectal temperature of the ***:This study exhibites that methanolic T. capensis leaves extract possesses analgesic,anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity which may be mediated by the central and peripheral mechanisms.

Breast cancer,also recognized as the principal cause of cancer-related deaths among women,is the second most familiar and prevalent form of *** diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers that are highly specific are urgently needed for its early ***(miRNAs),a class of non-coding RNAs,are known to control the biological processes involving transcription,post-transcriptional and covalent modifications,splicing,translation,cell differentiation,proliferation,apoptosis,cancer progression,and *** dysregulation in miRNA expression,demonstrating their oncogenic and tumor-suppressive functions,contributes to cancer ***-21(miR-21),an‘onco-miR’in breast cancer,is involved in tumor progression and metastasis by suppressing the activity of the target gene via its interaction with the 3’UTR of the target *** upregulation of miR-21 is observed in many instances of breast *** review aims to summarize the current understanding of miR-21 in the regulation of important cellular functions via regulation of its target *** discuss its biosynthesis,oncogenic function in breast cancer,and different methods used for its *** will increase the current understanding of the role of miR-21 in breast cancer tumorigenesis,which will offer a perception of using miR-21 as an early detection molecular prognostic and diagnostic biomarker and as a therapeutic target in breast cancer care.

Evaluation of antihyperglycemic activity of methanolic Tecomaria capensis Thunb.(Bignoniaceae) leaves extract in alloxan induced hyperglycemic rats

Objective:To evaluate the antihyperglycemic activity of Tecomaria aipensis(***) Thunb. (Bignoniaceae) methanolic leaves extract(TCLE) using blood glucose level in normal fasted rats, glucose tolerance test and alloxan induced hyperglycemia ***:TCLE(100,300, 1 000 and 2 000 mg/kg body wt.) was given to rats orally to observe acute toxicity,and observed for 14 *** 200 and 400 mg/kg,and glibenclamide 0.6 mg/kg were given orally in all models. Results:Results demonstrated that the no mortality was reported even after 14 *** indicates that the methanol extract is safe up to a single dose of 2 000 mg/kg body ***(200 and 400 mg/kg p.o.) exhibited remarkable blood glucose lowering effect in blood glucose level in normal fasted rats,glucose tolerance and alloxan induced hyperglycemia *** and triglyceride also decreased in alloxan induced hyperglycemia ***:The results of this study exhibites that methanol extract of *** possesses antihypergycemic activity and it may prove to be effective for the treatment of hyperglycemia.

Principal component transformation is a standard technique for multi-dimensional data analysis. The purpose of the present article is to elucidate the procedure for interpreting PC images. The discussion focuses on logically explaining how the negative/positive PC eigenvectors (loadings) in combination with strong reflection/absorption spectral behavior at different pixels affect the DN values in the output PC images. It is an explanatory article so that fuller potential of the PCT applications can be realized.
