Enhancing the dynamic load balancing technique for cloud computing using HBATAABC algorithm

Recently, many researchers have used nature inspired metaheuristicalgorithms due to their ability to perform optimally on complex problems. Tosolve problems in a simple way, in the recent era bat algorithm has becomefamous due to its high tendency towards convergence to the global optimummost of the time. But, still the standard bat with random walk has a problemof getting stuck in local minima. In order to solve this problem, this researchproposed bat algorithm with levy flight random walk. Then, the proposedBat with Levy flight algorithm is further hybridized with three differentvariants of ANN. The proposed BatLFBP is applied to the problem ofinsulin DNA sequence classification of healthy homosapien. For classificationperformance, the proposed models such as Bat levy flight Artificial NeuralNetwork (BatLFANN) and Bat levy Flight Back Propagation (BatLFBP) arecompared with the other state-of-the-art algorithms like Bat Artificial NeuralNetwork (BatANN), Bat back propagation (BatBP), Bat Gaussian distribution Artificial Neural Network (BatGDANN). And Bat Gaussian distributionback propagation (BatGDBP), in-terms of means squared error (MSE) andaccuracy. From the perspective of simulations results, it is show that theproposed BatLFANN achieved 99.88153% accuracy with MSE of 0.001185,and BatLFBP achieved 99.834185 accuracy with MSE of 0.001658 on *** on WL10 the proposed BatLFANN achieved 99.89899% accuracy withMSE of 0.00101, and BatLFBP achieved 99.84473% accuracy with MSE of0.004553. Similarly, on WL15 the proposed BatLFANN achieved 99.82853%accuracy with MSE of 0.001715, and BatLFBP achieved 99.3262% accuracywith MSE of 0.006738 which achieve better accuracy as compared to the otherhybrid models.

In computer vision,convolutional neural networks have a wide range of *** representmost of today’s data,so it’s important to know how to handle these large amounts of data *** neural networks have been shown to solve image processing problems ***,when designing the network structure for a particular problem,you need to adjust the hyperparameters for higher *** technique is time consuming and requires a lot of work and domain *** a convolutional neural network architecture is a classic NP-hard optimization *** the other hand,different datasets require different combinations of models or hyperparameters,which can be time consuming and *** approaches have been proposed to overcome this problem,such as grid search limited to low-dimensional space and queuing by random *** address this issue,we propose an evolutionary algorithm-based approach that dynamically enhances the structure of Convolution Neural Networks(CNNs)using optimized *** study proposes a method using Non-dominated sorted genetic algorithms(NSGA)to improve the hyperparameters of the CNN *** addition,different types and parameter ranges of existing genetic algorithms are *** study was conducted with various state-of-the-art methodologies and *** have shown that our proposed approach is superior to previous methods in terms of classification accuracy,and the results are published in modern computing literature.

Experiment and performance analysis of serpentine-shaped cantilever beam for pipeline vibration-based piezoelectric energy harvester prototype development

Pipelines produce vibrations during fluid or gas *** vibrations are less likely to cause structural failure as they exist with a small magnitude and can be harvested into useful *** paper presents a study on the piezoelectric energy-harvesting method converting mechanical energy from pipeline vibration into electrical *** performance of the serpentine-shaped piezoelectric cantilever beam was observed to check whether the design can produce the highest output voltage within the allowable vibration region of the pipeline from 10 to 300 Hz through finite element analysis using COMSOL Multiphysics software(Supplementary Material).In addition,this study investigates the energy-harvesting potential of the proposed design under real pipeline vibration conditions through a lab vibration *** harvested energy output is evaluated based on various vibration frequencies and amplitudes,which gives an idea of the device and its performance under different operating *** experiment result shows that the energy harvester produced an open-circuit voltage of 10.28-15.45 V with 1 g of vibration *** results of this research will contribute to the development of efficient piezoelectric energy harvesters adapted for pipeline environments.

Fibers are increasingly in demand for a wide range of polymer composite *** study^purpose was the development of oil palm fiber(OPF)mixed with the thermoplastic material acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS)as a composite filament for fused deposition modeling(FDM).The mechanical properties of this composite filament were then *** is a fiber extracted from empty fruit bunches,which has proved to be an excellent raw material for *** cellulose content of OPF is 43%-65%,and the lignin content is 13%-25%.The composite lilament consists of OPF(5%,mass fraction)in the ABS *** fabrication procedure included alkalinizing,drying,and crushing the OPF to develop the *** OPF/ABS materials were prepared and completely blended to acquire a mix of 250 g of the material for the ***,the FLD25 filament extrusion machine was used to form the OPF/ABS composite into a *** composite filament then was used in an FDM-based 3D printer to print the ***,the printed specimens were tested for mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural *** results show that the presence of OPF had increased the tensile strength and modulus elasticity by approximately 1.9%and 1.05%,***,the flexural strength of the OPF/ABS composite had decreased by 90.6%compared with the virgin ***,the most significant outcome of the OPF/ABS composite was its suitability for printing using the FDM method.

Predictors of successfully quitting smoking among smokers registered at the quit smoking clinic at a public hospital in northeastern Malaysia

Objective:The objectives of this study were to determine the proportion of smokers regis-tered at the quit smoking clinic at a public hospital in northeastern Malaysia who successfully quit smoking and the predictive factors for successfully quitting ***:This was a cross-sectional study involving smokers aged more than 18 years old and registered with the clinic from January 1,2012,to October 31,*** were obtained with a designed questionnaire that consisted of sociodemographic information,medical history,smoking characteristics,and type of treatment received by *** who quit smoking 6 months after being registered at the quit smoking clinic were considered as successful *** lo-gistic regression was applied to determine the predictive factors for successfully quitting ***:From a total of 202 respondents,42.6%[95%confidence interval(CI)35.8-49.4%]of them successfully quit *** logistic regression showed that the number of ciga-rettes smoked per day(adjusted odds ratio 2.51,95%CI 1.17-5.41)and a previous quit attempt(adjusted odds ratio 1.88,95%CI 1.03-3.44)were significant predictors for successfully quitting ***:This study shows that the proportion of smokers who successfully quit smoking among smokers registered at the quit smoking clinic was relatively high.A number of cigarettes smoked per day of 20 or fewer and a previous quit attempt significantly predict successful quitting of smoking.

Relationship between Parent-Child Attachment and Problem Behaviors among Chinese Firstborn Children in Family Transitions: A Meta-Analysis

A literature review on the improvement strategies of passive design for the roofing system of the modern house in a hot and humid climate region

Increase of indoor temperature compared with outdoor temperature is a major concern in modern house design. Occupants suffer from this uncomfortable condition because of overheating indoor temperature. Poor passive design causes heat to be trapped, which influences the rise in indoor temperature. The upper part, which covers the area of the roof, is the most critical part of the house that is exposed to heat caused by high solar radiation and high emissivity levels. During daytime, the roof accumulates heat, which increases the indoor temperature and affects the comfort level of the occupants. To maintain the indoor temperature within the comfort level, most house designs usually depend on mechanical means by using fans or air conditioning systems. The dependence on a mechanical ventilation system could lead to additional costs for its installation, operation, and maintenance. Thus, this study concentrates on reviews on passive design and suggests recommendations for future developments. New proposals or strategies are proposed to improve the current passive design through ventilated and cool roof systems. It is possible to achieve the comfort level inside a house throughout the day by reducing the transmitted heat into the indoor environment and eliminating the internal hot air. These recommendations could become attractive strategies in providing a comfortable indoor temperature to the occupants as well as in minimizing energy consumption.
