Introduction: The Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 affected all the megacities of the world and made the mental health and lifestyle of people paralyzed. According to different studies, such difficulties were different in scale in different cities depending on the demographic attributes of the people. This phenomenon has created the essence of the current study to examine the health conditions in terms of their mental health, lifestyle, and demographic attributes during and immediate past of the COVID-19 era. Method: It was a cross-sectional study covering the people of Dhaka City Corporation. For this purpose, a multistage sampling method was applied, under which the respondents were selected randomly and a self-administered structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The questionnaire was developed based on the DASS 21, as it was suitable to measure the components of mental health in the form of depression, anxiety, and stress. Descriptive analysis and cross-tabulation were applied to find out the association between dependent and independent variables, whereas, a chi-square test was performed to examine the hypothesis. Finally, multivariate analysis was done to find out the risk factors. Three logistic regression models were developed for three dependent variables. Result: The findings of the analysis revealed that the lifestyle of people had severely influenced the components of their mental health conditions during and immediate past of COVID-19 in the Dhaka City Corporation, which varies to some extent depending on the demographic attributes of those. Conclusion: The above findings are statistically significant enough to conclude about the essence of taking preventive measures regarding mental health issues in the future. Reduced web section(RWS)connections can prevent lateral-torsional buckling and web local buckling experienced by reduced beam section(RBS)*** RWS connections,removing a large portion of web can result in shear demand intolerance induced to plastic hinge *** present study aims to resolve the problems of RBS and RWS connections by proposing two new connections:(1)RBS with stiffener(RBS-ST)and(2)RBS with reduced web(RW-RBS)*** the first connection(RBS-ST),a series of stiffeners is connected to the beam in the reduced flange region,while the second connection(RW-RBS)considers both a reduction in flanges and a reduction in *** beam-to-column joints with three different connections,including RBS,RBS-ST,and RW-RBS connections were considered and simulated in *** to the results,RBS-ST and RW-RBS connections can decrease or even eliminate lateral-torsional buckling and web local buckling in RBS *** is important to note that RWRBS connection is more effective in long beams with smaller shear demands in the plastic hinge ***,results showed that RBS and RW-RBS connections experienced strength degradation at 4%to 5%drift,while no strength degradation was observed in RBS-ST connection until 8%drift.

The combination of urbanization and global warming leads to urban overheating and compounds the frequency and intensity of extreme heat events due to climate ***,the risk of urban overheating can be mitigated by urban green-blue-grey infrastructure(GBGI),such as parks,wetlands,and engineered greening,which have the potential to effectively reduce summer air *** many reviews,the evidence bases on quantified GBGI cooling benefits remains partial and the practical recommendations for implementation are *** systematic literature review synthesizes the evidence base for heat mitigation and related co-benefits,identifies knowledge gaps,and proposes recommendations for their implementation to maximize their *** screening 27,486 papers,202 were reviewed,based on 51 GBGI types categorized under 10 main *** GBGI(green walls,parks,street trees)have been well researched for their urban cooling ***,several other GBGI have received negligible(zoological garden,golf course,estuary)or minimal(private garden,allotment)*** most efficient air cooling was observed in botanical gardens(5.0±3.5℃),wetlands(4.9±3.2℃),green walls(4.1±4.2℃),street trees(3.8±3.1℃),and vegetated balconies(3.8±2.7℃).Under changing climate conditions(2070–2100)with consideration of RCP8.5,there is a shift in climate subtypes,either within the same climate zone(e.g.,Dfa to Dfb and Cfb to Cfa)or across other climate zones(e.g.,Dfb[continental warm-summer humid]to BSk[dry,cold semi-arid]and Cwa[temperate]to Am[tropical]).These shifts may result in lower efficiency for the current GBGI in the *** the importance of multiple services,it is crucial to balance their functionality,cooling performance,and other related co-benefits when planning for the future *** global GBGI heat mitigation inventory can assist policymakers and urban planners in prioritizing effective interventions to reduce the risk of urban overheating,fi

This work aims to find the origin and connection of the surface,near-wake,and far-wake structures in the flow encompassing a high-rise building for a high Reynolds *** origin and interconnection of the stream-wise tip vortices,with the other components of the wake,is analysed in this study for the current *** Unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations(URANS)together with the realizable k-εturbulence model have been used in this investigation to study the turbulent wake flow following a ground-surface-attached square shape building.A moderately big obstacle aspect ratio of 4,a Reynolds number of 12,000,and a thin evolving boundary layer thickness have been used in the flow *** designed flow addresses the reversed-flows at the outlet during computation to improve the accuracy of the realizable k-e *** Reynolds stress components are retrieved using the Boussinesq *** wake’s principal compositions,including span-wise-side eddies and area of high stream-wise vorticity in the uppermost portion of the wake,are illustrated by both three-dimensional(3D)representations and planner projections of the mean flow distributions.A braided vortex formation,composed of asymmetric hairpin vortexes,is witnessed in the far-wake *** association of the near-wake vortex structures with the far-wake and near-wall flow,which is associated with the flow strengths,is also *** this investigation,few areas of large stream-wise vorticity magnitude,like tip vortexes,are correlated to the 3D curving of the fluid motion,and tip vortices did not continuously reach to the free end part of the *** 3D fluid motion interpretation,which combined several measurements of the flow distribution encompassing the cylinder,shows that the time-averaged near-wake structures are formed of two segments of distinct source and section of ***,addressing reversed-flow during computation shows notable improvement in the results.

Persian shallot has been propagated vegetatively through daughter bulbs and has a narrow genetic *** the present study,to create genetic diversity in terms of ploidy level,the effects of in vitro polyploidization were investigated on morphological,physiological and phytochemical *** colchicine treatments(0,0.3%,0.5% and 0.7% concentrations)for 24,36 and 48 h and oryzalin treatments(0,0.001%,0.002% and 0.004% concentrations)for 4,6 and 8 h were used.A sterile basal plate of bulbs was used for the induction of polyploidy in liquid and solid *** obtaining plantlets,root tip chromosomes were counted for the determination of ploidy *** cytometry was performed to confirm the chromosome counting *** regenerated diploid and tetraploid plantlets were transferred to ex vitro *** and oryzalin were both successful in inducing polyploids and the polyploids induced were tetraploids and *** highest induction of polyploidy was obtained in solid media using 0.5%(w/v)colchicine for 36 h(35.0% polyploidy induction)and in 0.001%(w/v)Oryzalin for 8 h(45.5% polyploidy induction).Differences in plantlet height and weight,bulblet weight,density,stomatal width and length,and chlorophyll content were observed between tetraploid and diploid *** duplication,as a result of tetraploid induction,significantly influenced the antioxidant content and enzyme *** results showed that total phenolic content,allicin,and antioxidant capacity were significantly higher in the tetraploid plantlets than that in the diploid *** loci polymorphisms indicated that the 12 autotetraploid plants(with high allicin content)had different genotypes from the parental diploid ***,in vitro polyploidy induction not only duplicated chromosomes but also altered the DNA sequence in Allium *** vitro induction of tetraploids in *** can be a reliable way to obtain suitable plant material for bre

The development of microgrids is progressing due to intelligent load demands,clean energy,batteries and electric *** presence of such systems in microgrids causes power balance inconsistency,leading to increased power losses and deviation in *** this pa-per,a mixed-integer non-linear programming model is proposed for modelling island microgrid energy management considering smart loads,clean energy resources,electric vehicles and ***,a flexible distributed AC transmission system device is proposed to prevent voltage deviation and reduce power losses.A scenario-based multi-objective function has been proposed to decrease energy losses and voltage deviations and energy outages of clean energy resources,reduce emissions from fossil-fired distributed generation and finally decrease load outages to reduce the vulnerability of the islanded *** the proposed mixed-integer non-linear model and the high number of variables and constraints,a modified evolutionary algorithm based on particle swarm optimization has been proposed to solve the proposed model,which can be more efficient than other algorithms to achieve global optimal *** model presented is implemented on a 33-node island microgrid and the results illustrate that the proposed algorithm and model are effective in reducing energy losses and voltage deviation,as well as reducing the vulnerability of the *** simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach can lead to significant improvements in the performance of the ***,the ap-proach can result in a 27%reduction in losses,a 6%reduction in pollution and a 31%improvement in ***,the approach allows maximum utilization of renewable energy sources,making it a promising solution for sustainable energy management.
