To determine the effect of tocilizumab (TCZ) on reactive oxygen species (ROS) in 11 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (ra), reactive oxygen metabolites (d-ROM) were measured using a Free radical Elective Evaluator. The Disease Activity Score (DAS28) and matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) level were also evaluated. d-ROM measured 392 ± 110 Carratelli units [U. CARR] on initiation of TCZ, and significantly decreased to 237 ± 82, 248 ± 88, and 226 ± 91 *** after 3, 6, and 12 months, respectively

Accurate cost estimation at the early stage of a construction project is key factor in a project’s success. But it is difficult to quickly and accurately estimate construction costs at the planning stage, when drawings, documentation and the like are still incomplete. As such, various techniques have been applied to accurately estimate construction costs at an early stage, when project information is limited. While the various techniques have their pros and cons, there has been little effort made to determine the best technique in terms of cost estimating performance. The objective of this research is to compare the accuracy of three estimating techniques (regression analysis (ra), neural network (NN), and support vector machine techniques (SVM)) by performing estimations of construction costs. By comparing the accuracy of these techniques using historical cost data, it was found that NN model showed more accurate estimation results than the ra and SVM models. Consequently, it is determined that NN model is most suitable for estimating the cost of school building projects.

We present a new class of metastable high-entropy alloys(HEAs),triggering deformation-induced martensitic transformation(DIMT)from face-centered-cubic(FCC)to body-centered-cubic(BCC),i.e.,*** the ab-initio calculation based on 1 st order axial interaction model and combined with the Gibbs free energy calculation,the addition of Si is considered as a critical element which enables to reduce the intrinsic stacking fault energy(ISFE)in Si_xV_((9-x))Cr_(10)Mn_5 Fe_(46)Co_(30)(x=2,4,and 7 at.%)alloy *** ISFE decreases from-30.4 to-35.5 mJ/m^(2)as the Si content increases from 2 to 7 at.%,which well corresponds to the reduced phase stability of FCC against *** BCC-DIMT occurs in all the alloys via intermediate HCP martensite,and the HCP martensite provides nucleation sites of BCC ***,the transformation rate enhances as the Si content increases in an earlier deformation ra ***,the BCC-DIMT is also affected by the phase stability of FCC against BCC,and the stability is the highest at the Si content of 7 at.%.Thus,the 7Si alloy presents the moderate transformation rate in the later deformation *** to the well-controlled transformation rate and consequent strain-ha rdening rate,the 7Si alloy possesses the superior combination of strength and ductility beyond 1 GPa of tensile strength at room *** results suggest that the Si addition can be a favorable candidate in various metastable HEAs for the further property improvement.

Color rendition,luminous efficacy and reliability are three key technical parameters for white light-emitting diodes(wLEDs)that are dominantly determined by down-conversion ***,there is usually an inevitable trade-off between color rendition and luminescence efficacy because the spectrum of red phosphor(that is,spectral broadness and position)cannot satisfy them *** this work,we report a very promising red phosphor that can minimize the aforementioned trade-off via structure and band-gap engineering,achieved by introducing isostructural LiSi_(2)N_(3) into CaAlSiN_(3):Eu^(2+).The solid solution phosphors show both substantial spectra broadening(88→117 nm)and blueshift(652→642 nm),along with a significant improvement in thermal quenching(only a 6%reduction at 150℃),which are strongly associated with electronic and crystal structure *** broadband and robust red phosphor thus enables fabrication of super-high color rendering wLEDs(ra=95 and R9=96)concurrently with the maintenance of a high-luminous efficacy(101 lm W^(−1)),validating its superiority in highperformance solid state lightings over currently used red phosphors.

利用航空影像和激光雷达数据,对韩国赤松林的碳储量进行了估算.基于雷达数据建立数字冠层模型,再与航空影像融合,进而划分单株树木的冠幅范围.为消除分段误差,采用高斯滤波方法对融合后的影像进行平滑,然后利用标记控制阈值分割方法提取出单株树木的冠幅范围,再通过建立实测冠幅面积和胸径间的回归方程计算出单株树木的胸径.在此基础上,利用韩国森林研究所建立的回归模型,计算单株树木的地上生物量.单株树木的碳储量由地上生物量乘以转化系数(0.5)得到.结果显示,用此方法估算的平均单株树木碳储量为193.7kgC,与实际测量值223.8kgC较为接近,说明本研究提供的基于航空影像和雷达的方法,可以有效地估算大面积森林树木的生物量和碳储量.

背景脑脊液（cerebrospinalfluid，CSF）运动是影响等比重蛛网膜下隙麻醉药椎管内扩散的重要因素。由于各自特性的不同，麻醉前给予晶体或胶体负荷液对CSF脉冲式运动的影响不完全相同。因此，本研究观察了麻醉前预充晶体或胶体负荷液是否对CSF动力学（脉冲式运动）引起的等比重蛛网膜下隙麻醉药椎管内扩散有不同影响。方法等比重蛛网膜下隙麻醉药的临床研究中，患者随机分为两组：晶体液负荷组（η=30）及胶体液负荷组（η=30）。等比重蛛网膜下隙麻醉药为0．5％丁卡因。同时．通过MRI对23名健康志愿者讲行研究．分别观察给予品体及及胶体负荷液0、30分钟、60分钟后．CSF在L2-3节殿强中脑水管中部的运动。结果临床研究中，与胶体负荷液组（13．9±7．0分钟）相比，晶体负荷液组（27．1±17．8分钟）达感觉阻滞峰值时间明显延长（P〈0．01）。15分钟及20分钟时，晶体负荷液组平均感觉阻滞平面（15分钟：T10；20分钟：T9．5）显著低于胶体负荷液组（15分钟：T8；20分钟：T7）（P〈0．05）。MRI志愿者研究中，晶体负荷液组在30分钟时，直接来自头侧的CSF脉冲式运动在L2—3节段降低，而胶体负荷液组未出现显著变化。与基础值（448μl/min）相比，晶体负荷液组30分钟时CSF生成速度显著增加（637μl/min，P〈0．05），而在60分钟时轻微下降（609μl/min）。与基础值相比，胶体负荷液组30分钟及60分钟时CSF生成率没有统计学差异（基础值：464μl/min；30分钟：512μl/min；60分钟：542μl/min）。结论麻醉前给予胶体负荷液与无液体预充情形类似，而给予晶体负荷液，由于CSF生成增加，减弱了CSF脉冲式运动，进而延长等比重蛛网膜下隙麻醉药椎管内阻滞的感觉阻滞峰值时间。

Injectable bone biomaterials like bone cement should be designed and fabricated with certain biological criteria,which include:1)recruitment and polarization of the macrophages from M1(pro-inflammatory)to M2(anti-inflammatory)phenotype,2)enhance vascularization,and 3)activate osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow-derived stem cells to promote bone *** far,no injectable biomaterials could spontaneously regulate the entire bone healing process that involves inflammation,angiogenesis,and ***,in this study,we designed bone cement comprised of strontium and copper-incorporated borosilicate glass(Sr/Cu-BSG)in the liquid phase of chitosan to modulate bone *** vitro studies showed that the controlled release of Sr and Cu ions up-regulated anti-inflammatory genes(IL-1ra and TGF-β1)while down-regulating pro-inflammatory genes(IL-1βand IL-6)in macrophages at 3 *** and Cu ions also increased the expressions of angiogenic genes(VEGF and bFGF)in HUVECs at 5 days and osteogenic genes(Runx-2,OCN,and OPN)in hBMSCs at 7,14,and 21 days.5Sr3Cu-BSG bone cement exhibited the best anti-inflammatory,angiogenic,and osteogenic properties among the bone cement groups with different Sr and Cu ***-term and long-term implantation of Sr/Cu-BSGs in femoral condylar bone defects of rats and rabbits confirmed the in vitro results,where the degradation rate of Sr/Cu-BSG matched the bone healing *** to in vitro,the 5Sr3Cu-BSG group also showed the highest bone formation in *** physical and chemical properties,along with its bone repairing ability,make the Sr/Cu-BSG bone cement a good candidate biomaterial for treating bone defects.

We present a case report about percutaneous closure of a congenital Gerbode defect using Nit-Occlud~? Lê VSD coil. The patient was referred to our hospital with a diagnosis of ventricular septal defect(VSD) and severe pulmonary arterial hypertension. But transthoracic echocardiography revealed a communication between the left ventricle(LV) and the right atrial(ra), called Gerbode defect. Catheterization confirmed the shunt from the LV to the ra. We successfully closed the defect with a VSD coil. After uneventful 6 mo follow-up, the patient was out of dyspnea, the symptom urged him to have medical attention. This case report is to discuss the diagnosis and percutaneous treatment approach for this rare congenital heart disease.
