Lead halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have been considered one of the most promising candidates for future energy supply,whereas just solar cell does not guarantee *** to the ionic nature and constituent heavy metals,perovskite materials are prone to decay under operating conditions and pose a threat to ecosystems and human health,seriously restricting their practical ***,we briefly review safe-by-design strategies to heal failed PSCs and thereby extend their operational lifetime and to recycle lead perovskites at the end of their lifespan for cyclic *** the point of view of processability,scalability,and universality,we recommend future approaches for the further development of PSCs towards sustainable photovoltaics,taking into consideration materials selection,device design,and process optimization.

BACKGROUND Many cases of emphysema associated with blow-out fractures occur before surgery due to ***,emphysema can occur even after surgery,and most of such cases are managed conservatively and allowed to *** in the periorbital area due to emphysema that occurs after surgery can make early recovery *** SUMMARY Herein,we describe a case of postoperative subcutaneous emphysema that was treated using a simple needle aspiration method.A 48-year-old male patient visited the hospital with a blow-out fracture of the left medial orbital wall and nasal bone *** day postoperatively,swelling and crepitus in the left periorbital area were observed,and follow-up computed tomography showed emphysema in the left periorbital subcutaneous *** aspiration using an 18-gauge needle and syringe was used to relieve the *** symptoms of sudden swelling improved immediately,and no recurrence was *** We conclude that needle aspiration is a useful method that could help in relieving symptom,resolving discomfort,and enabling early return to daily life in patients with postoperative subcutaneous emphysema.

This paper proposes a new direct method for an efficient trajectory optimization using the point that the dynamics of a deterministic system are uniquely determined by initial states and controls imposed over the time horizon of *** effectively implement this concept,the Hermite spline is adopted to interpolate the continuous controls and the system dynamics are integrated with corresponding control parameters in *** a result,the optimal control problem can be transcribed into a nonlinear programming problem which has no dynamic equality constraints and no intermediate states in its design *** addition,the paper proposes an efficient recursive Jacobian estimation technique and introduces a Jacobian transformation matrix to straightforwardly handle the general state *** properties of the present method are thoroughly investigated through its applications to the trajectory optimization for a soft lunar landing from a parking orbit,including the detailed analyses for the de-orbiting *** computed results are compared with those using the pseudo-spectral method to demonstrate an extreme outperformance of the proposed method in the aerospace applications over the traditional direct method.

BACKGROUND Breast cancer in young women has been shown to have an aggressive behavior and poor *** To evaluate the outcomes of young hormone receptor(HR)-positive patients with breast cancer treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC),and the oncologic efficacy of gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH)*** This retrospective study involved a prospectively enrolled *** included patients diagnosed with invasive breast cancer who were treated with NAC followed by curative surgery at the Samsung Medical Center and Samsung Changwon Hospital between January 2006 and December *** patients with HR-positive and human epidermal grow factor 2(HER2)-negative breast cancer,we analyzed the characteristics and oncology outcomes between the patients equal to or younger than 35 years and the patients older than 35 *** Among 431 patients with NAC and HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer,78 were 35 years old or younger,and 353 patients were older than 35 *** median follow-up was 71.0 *** was no statistically significant difference in disease free survival(DFS,P=0.565)and overall survival(P=0.820)between the patients equal to or younger than 35 years and the patients older than 35 *** two groups differed in that the GnRH agonist was used more frequently in the group of patients equal to or younger than 35 years than in the other group(52.4%vs 11.2%,P<0.001).Interestingly,for the DFS according to the GnRH agonist in the group of patients equal to or younger than 35 years,patients treated with the GnRH agonist had better DFS(P=0.037).CONCLUSION Administration of GnRH agonists might improve the DFS rate of HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer in the equal to or younger than 35 years group of patients with NAC.

To accelerate the discovery of materials through computations and experiments,a well-established protocol closely bridging these methods is *** introduce a high-throughput screening protocol for the discovery of bimetallic catalysts that replace palladium(Pd),where the similarities in the electronic density of states patterns were employed as a screening *** first-principles calculations,we screened 4350 bimetallic alloy structures and proposed eight candidates expected to have catalytic performance comparable to that of *** experiments demonstrate that four bimetallic catalysts indeed exhibit catalytic properties comparable to those of ***,we discover a bimetallic(Ni-Pt)catalyst that has not yet been reported for H_(2)O_(2) direct *** particular,Ni_(61)Pt_(39) outperforms the prototypical Pd catalyst for the chemical reaction and exhibits a 9.5-fold enhancement in cost-normalized *** protocol provides an opportunity for the catalyst discovery for the replacement or reduction in the use of the platinum-group metals.

BACKGROUND Diabetes is a progressive disease that increases glucose levels in the *** studies have shown that patients with pulmonary disease(both obstructive and restrictive pulmonary disease)have a higher prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),there have been more studies on restrictive patterns than chronic obstructive pulmonary *** To assess whether restrictive and obstructive pulmonary diseases are associated with T2DM in *** For our analysis,we used data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.A total of 2830 subjects were included in this *** results were categorized into three patterns:Normal,restrictive pulmonary disease(RPD),and obstructive pulmonary disease(OPD).RESULTS The factors used as diabetic indicators(*** model assessment of insulin resistance,homeostatic model assessment of beta-cell function,glycated hemoglobin,and fasting insulin)were among the highest in RPD but not in *** on multivariate logistic regression analysis,subjects with RPD were found with an increased odds ratio[OR:1.907,95%confidence interval(CI):1.110-3.277]for T2DM compared with subjects with normal pulmonary function,whereas in patients with OPD,the OR had not *** 4,which adjusted for the variables that could affect diabetes and pulmonary disease,showed a significant increase in the T2DM OR to RPD(OR:2.025,95%CI:1.264-3.244).On the other hand,no statistically significant difference was shown in OPD(OR:0.982,95%CI:0.634-1.519).CONCLUSION RPD,not OPD,is highly associated with T2DM regardless of the risk factors of various T2DMs that can be confounds.
