Integrating predictive modeling techniques with geospatial data for landslide susceptibility assessment in northern Pakistan

The eastern road section of the ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC)traverses the challenging terrain of northern Pakistan,where frequent landslides pose a significant threat to socioeconomic development and ***,the insufficient data on landslide hazards presents a substantial challenge to practical mitigation ***,we conducted an extensive study to gain insight into landslide assessment along the Mansehra-Muzaffarabad-Mirpur and Mangla(MMMM)*** study involved preparing a landslide inventory,analyzing landslide causative factors,and developing landslide susceptibility models(LSMs)using published data,remote sensing interpretations,field excursions and integrated predictive *** first used Pearson's correlation coefficient(PCC),variable importance factors(VIF),and information gain ratio(IGR)to evaluate multicollinearity among the selected landslide causative factors(LCFs).Then,the topographic roughness index(TRI)with VIF>5 and PCC>0.7 was considered a redundant factor and thus removed before the data ***,we adopted multiple machine-learning methods to analyze landslide *** results indicate that the landslide inventory contains 1,776 events,of which 674 were classified based on geometrical and lithological *** IGR results show that the rainfall,lithology,PGA,drainage density,slope,and distance to fault are the most effective *** AUC values for random forest(RF)(0.901),extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)(0.884),and K-nearest neighbor(KNN)(0.872)remained higher than evidential belief function(EBF)(0.833),weight of evidence(WoE)(0.820),and certainty factor(CF)(0.810),*** RF model outperformed all other models in terms of ***,these models are accurate but newer in the area;thus,susceptible zones were verified with comprehensive field *** northern and central regions accounted for the high and very high susceptibility classes in th

Generalized Derivations in Rings with Involution

The main purpose of this paper is to study generalized derivations in rings with involution which behave like strong commutativity preserving mappings. In fact, we prove the following result： Let R be a noncommutative prime ring with involution of the second kind such that char（R） ≠ 2. If R admits a generalized derivation F ： R → R associated with a derivation d ： R → R such that [F（x）,F（x＊）] - [x,x＊] = 0 for all x ∈ R, then F（x）= x for all x ∈ R or F（x） = -x for all x ∈ R. Environmental monitoring is essential for accessing and avoiding the undesirable situations in industries along with ensuring the safety of ***,inspecting and monitoring of environmental parameters by humans lead to various health concerns,which in turn brings to the requirement of monitoring the environment by *** this paper,we have designed and implemented a cost-efficient robotic vehicle for the computation of various environmental parameters such as temperature,radiation,smoke,and pressure with the help of ***,the robotic vehicle is designed in such a way that it can be dually controlled by using the remote control along with the distant *** addition,contrary to the existing researches,the GSM modules are used to achieve the two-way long distance communication between the robotic vehicle and the distant *** the distant computer,the above-mentioned environmental parameters can be monitored along with controlling the robotic vehicle with the help of Graphical User Interface(GUI).In order to fulfill the given tasks,we have proposed two algorithms implemented at the robotic vehicle and the distant computer respectively in this *** final results validate the proposed algorithms where the above-mentioned environmental parameters can be monitored along with the smooth-running operation of the robotic vehicle.

Boundary Layer Flow over a Curved Surface Imbedded in Porous Medium

This research is made to visualize the boundary layer flow by a curved stretching sheet embedded in porous medium. The geometry is bended(curved), therefore the curvilinear coordinates are used to model the present *** is electrically conducting with the presence of uniform magnetic field. The governing non-linear partial differential equation reduces to non-linear ordinary differential equations by using the dimensionless suitable transformations. The numerical solutions are obtained by using the method bvp4c from MATLAB. The effects of curvature parameter, nondimensional magnetic parameter, and porosity parameter on the velocity field and skin friction coefficient are *** skin friction profile enhances with enhancing the values of porosity and magnetic parameter. Comparison of the present results with the existing results in the literature for the flat surface is also given.

Comparative Efficacy of Weed Control Practices for Parthenium Weed and Sunflower Crop under Varying Tillage Systems

Parthenium poses serious threat to modern crop production system and necessitate evaluating control practices for its effective *** of different weed control practices for controlling parthenium was explored in conventional and deep tillage systems in the field *** hoeing(20 and 35 days after emergence),S-Metolachlor(pre-emergence herbicide),sorghum straw mulch@5 tons ha-1 and combination of hand hoeing and sorghum straw mulch(hand hoeing at 20 and straw mulch at 35 days after emergence)were used as weed control *** check where no weed control measure was applied was also included in this experiment for *** concluded that the all weed management treatments significantly reduced parthenium density,its fresh and dry biomass during both the years of study as compared to weedy *** sunflower achene yield was recorded in hand hoeing(20 and 35 days after emergence)in combination with deep ***,mold bold plough used for the purpose of deep tillage should be encouraged for better control of parthenium and higher achene yield of sunflower crop(3293.3 kg ha^(-1) in 2017 and 3221.3 kg ha^(-1) in 2018).Moreover,is also inferred that total dose of herbicide might be reduced by using hoeing and mulching in an integrated way.

This manuscript presents a study of three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic Maxwell nanofluid flow across a slendering stretched surface with Joule *** impact of binary chemical reactions,heat generation,thermal radiation,and thermophoretic effect is also taken into *** multiple slip boundary conditions are utilized at the boundary of the *** appropriate similarity variable is used to transfer the flow modeled equations into ODEs,which are numerically solved by the utilization of the MATLAB bvp4c *** involved parameter's impact on the concentration,velocity,and temperature distribution are scrutinized with *** transport rates(mass,heat)are also investigated using the same variables,with the results reported in tabulated *** is seen that the fluid relaxation,magnetic,and wall thickness characteristics diminish the velocities of ***,the velocity,concentration,and temperature slip parameters reduce the velocities of fluid,temperature,and concentration *** results are compared to existing studies and shown to be in dependable agreement.
