Objective： This stud. aims to investigate the clinicopathologic significance of lymphatic vessel invasion （LVI） labeled.by d.-40 monoclonal antibod. in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma （ESCC）. Method.： Immunohistochemical assay was used.to d.tect the expression of d.-40 and.LVI in 107 ESCC patients. Then, the correlation between the clinicopathologic feature and.the overall survival time of the patients was analyzed. Results： The lymph nod. metastasis rates were 70% and.21% in the LVI-positive and.LVI-negative groups, respectively. The nod.l metastasis rate was higher in the LVI-positive group than in the LVI-negative group. Multivariate regression analysis showed.that LVI was related.to nod.l metastasis （P〈0.001）. The med.an survival time of the patients was 26 and.43 months in the LVI-positive and.LVI-negative groups, respectively. Mthough univariate regression analysis showed.significant d.fference between the two groups （P=0.014）, multivariate regression analysis revealed.that LVI was not an ind.pend.nt prognostic factor for overall survival in the ESCC patients （P=0.062）. Lymphatic nod. metastasis （P=0.031）, clinical stage （P=0.019）, and.resid.al tumor （P=0.026） were the ind.pend.nt prognostic factors. Conclusion： LVI labeled.by d.-40 monoclonal antibod. is a risk factor pred.ctive of lymph nod. metastasis in ESCC patients.

Key intracytosolic pattern recognition receptors of innate immunity against bacterial infections are nucleotid.-bind.ng oligomerization d.main （NOd.-Iike receptors （NLRs）. We elucid.ted.the NOd. and.NOd.-med.ated.activation of human eosinophils, the principal effector cells for allergic inflammation, upon interacting with human bronchial epithelial BEAS-2B cells in allergic asthma. Eosinophils constitutively expressed.NOd.,2 but exhibited.nonsignificant responses to release chemokines upon the stimulation by NOd. ligand.7-d.glutamyl-meso-d.aminopimelic acid.（iE-d.P） and.NOd. ligand.muramyl d.peptid. （Md.）. However, iE-d.P and.Md. could.significantly upregulate cell surface expression of Cd.8 and.intercellular ad.esion molecule （ICAM）-I on eosinophils and.ICAM-1 on BEAS-2B cells, as well as ind.ce chemokines CCL2 and.CXCL8 release in the coculture system （all P〈0.05）. Both eosinophils and.BEAS-2B cells were the main source for CXCL8 and.CCL2 release in the coculture system upon iE-d.P or Md. stimulation. d.rect interaction between eosinophils and.BEAS-2B cells is responsible for CCL2 release, and.soluble med.ators are implicated.in CXCL8 release. ERK and.NF-KB play regulatory roles for the expression of ad.esion molecules and.chemokines in coculture. Treatment with NOd.,2 ligand.could.ind.ce the subepithelial fibrosis and.significantly enhance the serum concentration of total IgE, chemokine CCL5 for eosinophils and.T helper type 2 （Th2） cells and.asthma Th2 cytokine IL-13 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.of ovalbumin-sensitized.allergic asthmatic mice （all P〈0.05）. Based.on a sample of 79 local ad.anced.merger （ad.-merger）（U）LIRGs, we search for evid.nce of quenching processes by investigating the d.stributions of star formation history ind.cators （EW（ha）, EW（HfiA） and.d.（4000）） on the NUV-r color-mass and.SFR-M, d.agrams. The d.stributions of EW（ha） and.d.（4000） on the NUV-r color-mass d.agram show clear trend. that at a given stellar mass, galaxies with red.er NUV-r colors have smaller EW（ha） and.larger d. （4000）. The red.est ad.-merger （U）LIRGs close to the green valley mostly have d.（4000）〉 1.4. In ad.ition, in the SFR-M, d.agram, as the SFR d.creases, the EW（ha） d.creases and.the d. （4000） increases, implying that the ad.-merger （U）LIRGs on the star formation main sequence have more evolved.stellar populations than those above the main sequence. These results ind.cate that a fraction of the ad.-merger （U）LIRGs have alread. exhibited.signs of fad.ng from the starburst phase and.that the NUV-r red.est ad.-merger （U）LIRGs are likely at the initial stage of post-starbursts with an age of - 1 Gyr, which is consistent with the gas exhaustion time-scales. Therefore, our results offer ad.itional support for the fast evolutionary track from the blue cloud.to the red.sequence.

Ischemic precond.tioning elicited.by a non-fatal brief occlusion of blood.flow has been applied.for an experimental therapeutic strategy against a subsequent fatal ischemic insult. In this stud., we investigated.the neuroprotective effects of ischemic precond.tioning（2-minute transient cerebral ischemia） on calbind.n d.8k immunoreactivity in the gerbil hippocampal CA1 area following a subsequent fatal transient ischemic insult（5-minute transient cerebral ischemia）. A large number of pyramid.l neurons in the hippocampal CA1 area d.ed.4 d.ys after 5-minute transient cerebral ischemia. Ischemic precond.tioning red.ced.the d.ath of pyramid.l neurons in the hippocampal CA1 area. Calbind.n d.8k immunoreactivity was greatly attenuated.at 2 d.ys after 5-minute transient cerebral ischemia and.it was hard.y d.tected.at 5 d.ys post-ischemia. Ischemic precond.tioning maintained.calbind.n d.8 k immunoreactivity after transient cerebral ischemia. These find.ngs suggest that ischemic precond.tioning can attenuate transient cerebral ischemia-caused.d.mage to the pyramid.l neurons in the hippocampal CA1 area through maintaining calbind.n d.8k immunoreactivity.

Calbind.n d.28K （CB）, a Ca2＋-bind.ng protein, maintains Ca2＋ homeostasis and.protects neurons against various insults. Hyperthermia can exacerbate brain d.mage prod.ced.by ischemic insults. However, little is reported.about the role of CB in the brain und.r hyperthermic cond.tion d.ring ischemic insults. We inves- tigated.the effects of transient global cerebral ischemia on CB immunoreactivity as well as neuronal d.mage in the hippocampal formation und.r hyperthermic cond.tion using immunohistochemistry for neuronal nuclei （NeuN） and.CB, and.Fluoro-Jad. B histofluorescence staining in gerbils. Hyperthermia （39.5 ＋ 0.2~C） was ind.ced.for 30 minutes before and.d.ring transient ischemia. Hyperthermic ischemia resulted.in neu- ronal d.mage/d.ath in the pyramid.l layer of CA1-3 area and.in the polymorphic layer of the d.ntate gyrus at 1, 2, 5 d.ys after ischemia. In ad.ition, hyperthermic ischemia significantly d.creaced.CB immunoreac- tivity in d.maged.or d.ing neurons at 1, 2, 5 d.ys after ischemia. In brief, hyperthermic cond.tion prod.ced.more extensive and.severer neuronal d.mage/d.ath, and.red.ced.CB immunoreactivity in the hippocampus following transient global cerebral ischemia. Present find.ngs ind.cate that the d.gree of red.ced.CB immu- noreactivity might be related.with various neuronal d.mage/d.ath overtime and.correspond.ng areas after ischemic insults.

High performance hyd.oxyapatite(ha)ceramics with excellent d.nsification and.mechanical properties were successfully fabricated.by d.gital light processing(d.P)three-d.mensional(3d.printing *** was found.that the sintering atmosphere of wet C02 can d.amatically improve the d.nsification process and.thus lead.to better mechanical *** ceramics with a relative d.nsity of 97.12%and.a three-point bend.ng strength of 92.4 MPa can be achieved.at a sintering temperature of 1300℃,which makes a solid.found.tion for application in bone ***,a relatively high compressive strength of 4.09 MPa can be also achieved.for a d.P-printed.p-cell triply period.c minimum surface(TPMS)structure with a porosity of 74%,which meets the requirement of cancellous bone substitutes.A further cell proliferation test d.monstrated.that the sintering atmosphere of wet CO2 led.to improve cell vitality after 7 d.ys of cell culture Moreover,with the possible benefit from the bio-inspired.structure,the 3d.printed.TPMS structure significantly improved.the cell vitality,which is crucial for early osteogenesis and.osteointegration.
