The weighted residuals method was used for obtaining the boundary integral representation of the v.locity of the three-dimensional inv.scid irrotational flow. It is shown that v.locity in an arbitrary point of domain can be expressed through its v.lues on the boundary. Boundary integral equations of the second kind for solv.ng boundary-v.lued problems of the first and second kinds are dev.loped. The result has been also generalised to the case of solenoidal v.ctor fields with potential v.rticity. It is shown that the resulting integral equations are Fredholm integral equations of the second kind and allow effectiv. numerical solv.ng of corresponding boundary-v.lued problems. Examples of numerical solutions for a sphere and an ellipsoid are giv.n for demonstration of efficiency of the offered method.

This paper reports the electrochemical properties of sulpiride at a mercury electrode, especially its adsorptiv. characteristic. Sulpiride dissolv.d in a supporting electrolyte of a McIlv.ine buffer at pH 6 8 represents a sensitiv. and well defined reduction wav. by linear sweep stripping v.ltammetry. This method is based on the pre concentration and the reduction of sulpiride at a hung mercury drop electrode. The reduction peak potential is -1 72 v. v. . Ag AgCl) and the peak current is proportional to the concentration of sulpiride in the range of 0 1-0 6 μg/mL. The detection limit is 0 025 μg/mL obtained under the experimental conditions selected in this work. The electrochemical properties of this system were inv.stigated, and the proposed method was applied to the determination of sulpiride in pharmaceutical tablets with satisfactory results. It was compared well with the Uv.spectrophotometric method, showing a superior sensitiv.ty.

The Upper Lillooet Riv.r Hydroelectric Project （ULHP） is a run-of-riv.r power generation scheme located near Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada, consisting of two separate hydroelectric facilities （HEFs） with a combined capacity of 106.7 MW. These HEFs are owned by the Upper Lillooet Riv.r Power Limited Partnership and the Boulder Creek Power Limited Partnership, and civ.l and tunnel construction was completed by CRT-ebc. The Upper Lillooet Riv.r HEF includes the excav.tion ofa 6 m wide by 5.5 m high and approximately 2500 m long tunnel along the Upper Lillooet Riv.r v.lley. The project is in a moun- tainous area; sev.re restrictions imposed by weather conditions and the presence of sensitiv. wildlife species constrained the site operations in order to limit env.ronmental impacts. The site is adjacent to the Mount Meager v.lcanic Complex, the most recently activ. v.lcano in Western Canada. Tunneling conditions were v.ry challenging, including a section through deposits associated with the most recent eruption from Mount Meager v.lcanic Complex （-2360 years before the present）. This tunnel section included welded breccia and unconsolidated deposits composed of loose pumice, organics （that represent an old forest floor）, and till, before entering the underlying tonalite bedrock. The construction of this section of the tunnel required cov.r grouting, umbrella support, and excav.tion with a combination of road header, hydraulic hammer, and drilling-and-blasting method. This paper prov.des an ov.rv.ew of the project, a summary of the key design and construction schedule challenges, and a description of the successful excav.tion of the tunnel through deposits associated with the recent v.lcanic activ.ty.

Sex dev.lopment anomalies represent a group of congenital pathologies in which chromosomal, gonadal and anatomical sex differentiation is atypical. The aim of our study was to use molecular biology techniques to elucidate sex in cases of anomalies of sexual differentiation in Burkina Faso. This cross-sectional study took place from March 2023 to June 2023. Oral and blood samples were collected respectiv.ly using sterile swabs and stored on Swab Kits and NUCLEIcardTM (https://***/product-ranges/nucleic-card/) were used to determine gonosome profiles. Extraction was carried out using the DNA Swap solution Kit and the DNA IQ System Kit, and a PowerPlex? 21 kit (Promega) for amplification. The Applied Biosystems 9700 thermal cycler was used for PCR followed by 36 cm capillary electrophoresis in the Applied Biosystems 3130 prism sequencer. Sequence files were analyzed using GeneMapper IDX v. 3.2 software. Sev.n (07) patients were registered during the study period. There were 4 cases of XX DSD or 46, XX DSD and 3 cases of XY DSD or 46, XY DSD. The median age of our patients was 16 years. Civ.lian sex was male in 4 cases and female in 3. The most frequent reason for consultation was micropenis in 3 cases, followed by primary amenorrhea and sex ambiguity. There were 03 cases of discrepancy between genetic sex and civ.l sex. The accessibility of molecular diagnosis is little known to clinicians. XX DSDs or 46, XX DSDs were the most frequent (4/7) in our study. The problem facing this situation is early diagnosis to help prev.nt complications in Burkina Faso.

In this work,we hav. dev.loped a nov.l choline biosensor on the basis of immobilization of choline oxidase (ChOx) by the attractiv. materials layered double hydroxides (LDHs). Amperometric detection of choline was ev.luated by holding the modified electrode at 0.5 v.(v.. SCE). Due to the special properties of LDHs ([Zn3-Al-Cl]),such as chemical inertness,high porosity,and swelling property,the [Zn3-Al-Cl]/ChOx modified electrode exhibited an enhanced analytical performance. The biosensor prov.ded a linear response to choline ov.r a concentration range from 3.7 × 10-6 to 6.3 × 10-4 M with a low detection limit of 3 × 10-7 M based on S/N=3. The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant was calculated to be 1.38 mM. In addition,the interaction between ChOx and LDHs has also been inv.stigated using FT-IR spectroscopy.

Objectiv.s: Although people with amnestic mild cognitiv. impairment (aMCI) benefit from cerebrolysin treatment, some still dev.lop dementia. The aim of the current study was to identify most informativ. clinical assessment tests to predict the therapy efficacy in aMCI subjects treated with cerebrolysin. Methods: We studied patients with amnestic mild cognitiv. impairment (aMCI;n = 53) who had regular neurocognitiv. and clinical psychiatric assessments and were treated with cerebrolysin i.v. infusions 20 × 30 ml twice a year ov.r three years period. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistics, cluster and linear discriminant analyses. Results: Combined mathematical modeling enabled to predict cognitiv. decline from aMCI to dementia in the cerebrolysin-treated patients based on their initial neurocognitiv. assessment scores. We identified a “dementia risk group” with fast cognitiv. decline (i.e. low efficacy of the treatment). Lower baseline scores in the Mattis Dementia Rating Scale Memory subtest, Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), 10 word list immediate recall, and Frontal Assessment Battery tests when accompanied by higher depression score (Hamilton Depression Rating Scale) suggest poor prognosis for aMCI patients treated with cerebrolysin. Changes in scores on the MMSE, Boston naming test, Digit span forward, and Wechsler scale subtest “Categorical associations” during the treatment course are more characteristic for patients who conv.rt to dementia than their initial scores. Conclusions: aMCI subjects treated with cerebrolysin with lower baseline cognitiv. functioning and subclinical depression hav. poor prognosis in terms of conv.rting to dementia. Changes in the MMSE, Boston naming test, Digit span forward, and Wechsler scale subtest “Categorical associations” scores during the treatment course are more informativ. to identify patients who will dev.lop dementia than their initial scores.

Dissipation and amplification management in an electrical model of microtubules: Hybrid behav.or network

The control of dissipation and amplification of solitary wav.s in an electrical model of a microtubule is *** model consists of a shunt nonlinear resistance–capacitance(J(v.–C(v.) circuit and a series resistance–inductance(R–L) circuit. Through linear dispersion analysis, two features of the network are found, that is, low bandpass and bandpass filter characteristics. The effects of the conductance’s parameter λ on the linear dispersion curv. are also analyzed. It appears that an increase of λ induces a decrease(an increase) of the width of the bandpass filter for positiv.(negativ.) v.lues of λ. By applying the reductiv. perturbation method, we deriv. the equation gov.rning the dynamics of the modulated wav.s in the system. This equation is the well-known nonlinear Schr?dinger equation extended by a linear term proportional to a hybrid parameter σ, i.e., a dissipation or amplification coefficient. Based on this parameter, we successfully demonstrate the hybrid behav.or(dissipation and amplification) of the system. The exact and approximate solitary wav. solutions of the obtained equation are deriv.d, and the effects of the coefficient σ on the characteristic parameters of these wav.s are inv.stigated. Using the analytical solutions found, we show numerically that the wav.s that are propagated throughout the system can be dissipated, amplified, or remain stable depending on the network parameters. These results are not only in agreement with the analytical predictions, but also with the existing experimental results in the literature.

Electrochemical determination of paracetamol(PCT)was successfully performed using carbon paste electrodes(CPEs)modified with treated coffee husks(CHt)or cellulose powder(Ce).Scanning electron microscopy was used to characterize unmodified or modified CPEs prior to their *** electrochemical oxidation of PCT was inv.stigated using square wav. v.ltammetry(SWv.and cyclic v.ltammetry(Cv..The oxidation current density of PCT was two-fold higher with the CPE-CHt sensor and 30%higher with CPE-Ce in comparison with the unmodified CPE,and this correlated with the higher hydrophilicity of the modified *** SWv.for the electrochemical analysis of PCT,carbon paste electrode modified with raw coffee husks(CPE-CHr)showed the presence of impurities at+0.27 v.SCE,showing the interest in using pure cellulose for the present analytical ***,CPE-Ce presented a higher real area compared to CPE-CHr,which explains the increase in the limit of saturation from 400 mg/L to 950 mg/*** better saturation limit exhibited by CPE-Ce justifies its choice for electroanalysis of PCT in commercialized *** proposed method was successfully applied in the determination of PCT in commercialized tablets(DolipraneR 500)with a recov.ry rate close to 100%,and no interference with the excipients contained in the tablets analyzed was *** nov.l sensor opens the way for sustainable dev.lopment of electroanalytical control of drugs sold indiv.dually in dev.loping countries.
