Grain boundary effect on structural, optical, and electrical properties of sol-gel synthesized Fe-doped snO_(2) nanoparticles

Tin oxide(snO_(2)) and iron-doped tin oxide(sn_(1-x)Fe_(x)O_(2),x=0.05 wt%,0.10 wt%) nanoparticles are synthesized by the simple sol-gel *** structural characterization using x-ray diffraction(XRD) confirms tetragonal rutile phases of the *** variations in lattice parameters and relative intensity with Fe-doping concentration validate the incorporation of iron into the *** compressive strain present in the lattice estimated by using peak profile analysis through using Williamson-Hall plot also exhibits the influence of grain boundary formation in the *** radiative recombination and quenching observed in optical characterization by using photoluminescence spectrum(PL) and the shift in the band gap estimated from Uv-visible diffused reflectance spectrum corroborate the grain boundary *** spectrum and the morphological analysis by using a field emission scanning electron microscope(FEsEM) also indicate the formation of grain *** compositional analysis by using energy dispersive x-ray spectrum(EDAX) confirms Fe in the snO_(2) *** conductivity studies exhibit that the impendence increases with doping concentration increasing and the loss factor decreases at high frequencies with doping concentration increasing,which makes the sn_(1-x)Fe_(x)O_(2) a potential candidate for device applications.

Recent reports suggest that aging is not solely a physiological process in living beings;instead, it should be considered a pathological process or disease(Amorim et al., 2022). Consequently, this process involves a wide range of factors, spanning from genetic to environmental factors, and even includes the gut microbiome(GM)(Mayer et al., 2022). All these processes coincide at some point in the inflammatory process, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, at different degrees in various organs and systems that constitute a living organism(Mayer et al., 2022;AguilarHernández et al., 2023).

synthesis of MoO_3 by glow discharge in contact with water

An atmospheric pressure glow discharge was ignited between a molybdenum anode and the water surface of a cathode for the synthesis of MoO_3 powders. The action of glow discharge leads to the non-equilibrium evaporation of water, sputtering of the metal anode and formation of molybdenum(vI) oxide, which deposited on the anode. The chemical composition and morphology of the obtained powder were performed by using x-ray diffraction spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. It was found that the synthesized powders are pure α-MoO_3. The possible mechanism of the formation of molybdenum trioxide during glow discharge treatment was described. The photocatalytic performance of MoO_3 was estimated through the degradation of Rhodamine B under dark and Uv irradiation conditions. Orthorhombic MoO_3 exhibited the best photocatalytic activity for the photodegradation of Rhodamine B of 100% under Uv irradiation for 15 min.

Disproportionation of ethylbenzene in the presence of C_8 aromatics

The selective synthesis of p-diethylbenzene （p-DEB） by disproportionation of ethylbenzene （EB） in the presence of aromatics like m- and p- xylene isomers has been studied over a pore size regulated HZsM-5 catalyst. The industrial feed having different compositions of ethylbenzene and xylene isomers was used for the experimentation. Hence, they were expected to hinder the movement of reactant molecules both on the external surface and within the zeolite channels. It was observed that irrespective of the different feed compositions the concentration of the xylene isomers was intact in the product. There is no other byproducts formation like para-ethylmethyl benzene. The effects of varying the concentration of aromatic compounds in the feed on ethylbenzene conversion and product distribution over the parent and modified H-ZsM-5 catalyst have been discussed. Ethylbenzene disproportionation reaction follows the pseudo first order reaction with an activation energy of 8.6 kcal/mol.

Conversion of an atomic to a molecular argon ion and low pressure argon relaxation

The dominant process in relaxation of DC glow discharge between two plane parallel electrodes in argon at pressure 200 Pa is analyzed by measuring the breakdown time delay and by analytical and numerical models. By using the approx- imate analytical model it is found that the relaxation in a range from 20 to 60 ms in afterglow is dominated by Ar＋ ions, produced by atomic-to-molecular conversion of Ar＋ ions in the first several milliseconds after the cessation of the discharge. This conversion is confirmed by the presence of double-Gaussian distribution for the formative time delay, as well as con- version maxima in a set of memory curves measured in different conditions. Finally, the numerical one-dimensional （1D） model for determining the number densities of dominant particles in stationary DC glow discharge and two-dimensional （2D） model for the relaxation are used to confirm the previous assumptions and to determine the corresponding collision and transport coefficients of dominant species and processes.
