Effect of multilayer Crn/CrAln coating on the corrosion and contact resistance behavior of 316L SS bipolar plate for high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell

Stainless steels have received wide attention as a substitute material for bipolar plates in high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell(HT-PEMFC).In the present work,the Crn,CrAln and multilayer Crn/CrAln coatings were deposited on 316 L SS to increase the corrosion resistance and decrease the interfacial contact *** deposited coatings exhibited face centered cubic phase structure and it was verified from the X-ray diffraction pattern.X-ray photo electron spectroscopy results showed the formation of both Crn and CrAln layers on 316 L ***/CrAln coating is more helpful in water management due to low surface roughness and high contact angle in the HT-PEMFC *** corrosion resistance behavior of all the samples were studied in 85%H_(3)PO_(4)solution at 140℃purged with H_(2)(HT-PEMFC anode)and O_(2)(HT-PEMFC cathode)*** results showed that all the coatings considerably improved the performance of 316 L SS and superior corrosion resistance was observed for Crn/CrAln multilayer coating,whose protective efficiency was 98.12%and 96.14%in the two simulated HT-PEMFC *** results of electrochemical impedance spectroscopic studies demonstrated higher impedance for Crn/CrAln *** morphological studies performed after corrosion studies revealed that protection ability of Crn/CrAln coating still remained acceptable.A very low interfacial contact resistance value of 6 mΩ cm^(2) at 140 n/cm;was observed for Crn/CrAln ***,after corrosion studies,the interfacial contact resistance value of Crn/CrAln coated 316 L was much lower than that of Crn and CrAln coatings due to the increased oxidation *** maximum power density of about 0.93 W/cm^(2) at 2 A/cm^(2) and output voltage of 0.96 V was observed for Crn/CrAln coating.

Focusing on the use of imidazolium ionic liquids and quaternary ammonium salts-based deep eutectic solvents for the separation of phenols and nitrogen-containing heteroaromatics,the role of heteroaromatics as specific sites for hydrogen bond-based separation has been *** environmentally friendly solvents are known for their ability to form hydrogen bonds with heteroatoms,a key aspect in separation *** quantified the hydrogen bond interaction energy to reach the threshold energy for efficient O-and n-heteroaromatics *** article provides an in-depth study of the structural nuances of different hydrogen bonding sites and their affinity properties while conducting a comparative evaluation of the separation efficiency of ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents from a thermodynamic *** showed that phenols with dual hydrogen bonding recognition sites were easier to separate than nitrogen-containing *** ionic liquids were more suitable for the extraction of nonbasic nitrogen-containing heteroaromatics,and quaternary ammonium salts-based deep eutectic solvents are more effective for phenols and basic nitrogen-containing heteroaromatics,which was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and empirical ***,this study provides a theoretical basis for the strategy design and selection of extractants for the efficient separation of O-and n-containing aromatic compounds.

The rapid degradation of Mg alloy was reduced by incorporating titanate on a fluorine-based anodized *** coating shows(i)excellent biomineralization ability,(ii)improved local and periodical corrosion behavior and(iii)enhanced expression of osteogenic factors(Runx2,Col 1,OCn and OPn)along with(iv)the antibacterial *** fluoride and magnesium ions dissolution from the anodized layer is responsible for the better expression of osteogenic factors and antibacterial *** preparation of the titanate incorporated anodized Mg alloy(Ti-AMg)is a facile solution to overcome the implant-associated bacterial infections with required biological functions including progression of bone ingrowth and biocompatibility.

A family of geophysical lineaments have been identified in ~15,000 km^2 in central Kerala between9 30'n to 10 45'n and 76 00'E to 77°30′E,integrating geophysical data with geological and geomorphological features. The characteristics of these lineaments in the magnetic and gravity fields and their derivatives have been analysed. The evolution of the lineaments has been traced to the temporal phases of global evolution of the region. A group of these faults have formed by reactivation of the deep-seated distensional fractures associated with and accompanying dyke emplacements during the episodic breakup of Gondwana at ~90 and 65 Ma under distinctive mantle thermal regimes. It is possible that reactivation of these distensional faults may have started during the cooling interval of time between the two distensions in the 90 and 65 Ma and post 65 Ma periods and later in the Cenozoic, when the lineaments were enlarged to their present dimension, possibly under the influence of forces that led to the uplift of the western Ghats. These may extend down to the crust-mantle interface. A cluster of youngergeophysical lineaments has been generated by reactivation along the weak planes of transformation of the charnockitic rocks of the Precambrian. They seem to have a strike-slip character. They are devoid of any dyke association and were formed on a cold crust. They may be confined to the upper-middle *** were generated in the high intensity intra-plate palaeo-stress fields of the triple forces arising from(1) the back-thrust from the Himalayan Collision;(2) the impact of epeirogenic forces and related isostatic uplift of the Western Ghats and(3) the flexural isostatic uplifts due to surface loads of late Mesozoic basaltic lavas and Cenozoic sedimentation in the coastal rifted basins in late Cenozoic, probably in the time span of 20 Ma to the present, when the palaeostress fields were most intense.

In this paper,pristine cobalt(Ⅱ)phthalocyanine(CoPc)and non-peripheral octamethyl substituted CoPc(n-CoMe_(2)Pc)are the focus of electrochemical *** and n-CoMe_(2)Pc nanorods(nR)were synthesized by a facile precipitation process from sublimated bulk phthalocyanine powders and their electrochemical properties were *** to the large specific surface area,the capacitance performance of the nanorods was significantly higher than that of the sublimated powder sample.n-CoMe_(2)Pc powder exhibited better pseudocapacity compared with CoPc powder and CoPc nR,which is attributed to enhanced charge transfer rate and im-proved redox activity after the introduction of octamethyl substituents on phthalocyanine *** maximum specific capacitance value was achieved by n-CoMe_(2)Pc nR based electrode,exhibiting 210.2 F g^(-1) capacitance at 5 mV s^(-1) scan rate and 156.1 F g^(-1) at 0.25 A g^(-1) current density,and also showing high efficiency and satisfactory *** results indicate that according to proper molecular design,n-CoMe_(2)Pc nR could be applied as the potential candidate for electrode material in supercapacitors.

The uniqueness of Zn is that, it is the second most abundant trace element in the animal body but can't be stored in the body, thus regular dietary intake is required. Zinc oxide(ZnO) nanoparticles(nP) particles are being extensively used in paints, skin lotions pigments, food, electronics appliances, biological and pharmaceutical applications and many more. Zinc oxide nanoparticles are the specially prepared mineral salt having particle size of 1 to 100 nm. It promotes growth can act as antibacterial agent,modulates the immunity and reproduction of the animals. Both in lower and higher doses of specifications it has exhibited a variety of effects on animal performances. Apart from being highly bioavailable, reports have already pointed out the growth promoting, antibacterial, immuno-modulatory and many more effects of nano zinc(nZn). These can be used at lower doses and can provide better result than the conventional Zn sources and indirectly prevents environmental contamination also. The toxicological studies provide mixed results in animal models. Studies been undertaken in diversified animal species and encouraging effects have been reported with nZn supplementation. However, there is a need to optimize the dose and duration of ZnO nP supplementation for human and livestock,depending on its biological effects. Actual bioavailability of ZnO nP in livestock is still to be worked *** this review we have attempted to summarize, conclude the beneficial effects of nZnO and its possible usage as mineral supplement to different categories of human and livestock.
