It is.s.own.that, the relatively large ion.c radius.of the dopan. cation. res.lts.in.an.expan.ion.of the lattice parameter, variation. in.the Ion.-O-Ion.an.le, Ion.-O,Ion.-O an. Ion.-O bon. dis.an.es.an. decreas. in.the average crys.allite s.ze. Fourier tran.form in.rared(FTIR) an. Raman.meas.remen.s.are es.en.ial to tes.ify the s.n.le-phas. formation.of YIG crys.al s.ructure an. are obs.rved chan.es.in.the s.retchin. an. vibration.l modes. res.ectively. The morphological s.udy, en.rgy dis.ers.ve s.ectros.opy(EDs. s.ectra an. textural properties.s.ow corallike s.ructures. peaks.as.ociated with Pr^(3+) an. Yb^(3+) atoms.an. the effect of dopan.s.on.s.rface area,diameter, an. pore volume, res.ectively. The optical an.lys.s.from diffus. reflectan.e s.ectra witn.s.ed an.in.reas. in.the optical gap ban., a decreas. in.Urbach en.rgy an. blue s.ift in.the charge tran.fer,correlated with the expan.ion.of the un.t cell due to the dopan.'s.in.ertion.in.the YIG s.ructure. A typical ferrimagn.tic behavior is.exhibited by the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12)compoun.. The s.turation.magn.tization.M_(s.), cubic an.s.tropy con.tan.(K_(1)) an. coercive field(H_(c)) in.reas. with the Pr^(3+)cation. con.en., as.con.equen.e of their magn.tic n.ture an. dis.ribution.aroun. of Fe^(3+)ion. due to the coexis.en.e with the Yb^(3+). Fin.lly, for the firs. time, an.ibacterial tes.s.by mean.of the direct con.act method were performed for YIG co-doped with Pr^(3+)an. Yb^(3+)an. it is.s.own.that, relatively high dos.ges.of Pr^(3+) cation. favored the activity again.t s. aureus. therefore, a n.w biological property for YIG doped with rare earths.is.pres.n.ed.
