This paper addresses the problem for solving a Continuous-time Riccati equation with an indefinite sign of the quadratic term. Such an equation is closely related to the so called full information H∞ control of linear time-invariant system with external disturbance. Recently, a simultaneous policy update algorithm (SPUA) for solving H∞ control problems is proposed by Wu and Luo (Simultaneous policy update algorithms for learning the solution of linear continuous-time H∞ state feedback control, Information Sciences, 222, 472-485, 2013). However, the crucial point of their method is to find an initial point, which ensuring the convergence of the method. We will show one example where Wu and Luo’s method is not effective and it converges to an indefinite solution. Three effective methods for computing the stabilizing solution to the considered equation are investigated. Computer realizations of the presented methods are numerically compared on the computational platforms MATLAB and SCILAB.

A New World Order is ultimately necessary because the age of National States has passed long ago and all relations among the citizens of Earth are influenced and dominated by Globalization, thus it needs a single world Government and a global Parliament. For too long darkness kept a tight grip on mankind, now it is the time to put an end to this darkness and let humanity begin its true evolution through this new doctrine, the Doctrine of Human Personality.

Analysis of Argo float trajectories at 1 000 m and temperature at 950 m in the North Atlantic between November 2003 and January 2005 demonstrates the existence of two different circulation modes with fast transition between them. Each mode has a pair of cyclonic - anticyclonic gyres. The difference is the location of the cyclonic gyre. The cyclonic gyre stretches from southeast to northwest in the first mode and from the southwest to the northeast in the second mode. The observed modes strongly affect the heat and salt transport in the North Atlantic. In particular, the second mode slows down the westward transport of the warm and saline water from the Mediterranean Sea.

In this paper we model in a new way the nuclei of deuterium and tritium. We consider the nucleons as toroids that rotate at a constant angular velocity around a line perpendicular to their rotation plane and passing through the center of mass of the nuclei. Based on exact analytical formulas obtained by us for the electrostatic interaction between two spheres with arbitrary radii and charges, we obtain that the known binding energy of the deuteron and triton has an electromagnetic nature. We also obtain through these formulas the force of interaction inside these nuclei. Besides that, within the framework of the classical model we use, we calculate the volumes and mass densities of the nucleons. Throughout all that we use the experimentally obtained results for the radii and masses of the nucleons and nuclei under study. Through our toroid model we confirm the main experimental results obtained for the deuteron and triton not only for the binding energy but also for the magnetic moments, spins and stability.

In this paper we consider nucleons as tori, rotating with a constant angular velocity around the straight line passing through their mass centre (geometric centre) and perpendicular to their plane of rotation. We theoretically determine the corresponding potential energy and the force of interaction between pairs of nucleons, using our precise analytical formulas for the electrostatic interaction between two spheres with arbitrary radii and charges, which we derive using experimentally obtained results for the radii and the masses of the nucleons. From the values for binding energy found through our method, it follows that nuclear forces are electromagnetic in nature. In terms of magnitude of the force of interaction between proton and neutron, we obtain that Coulomb's forces are short-range. Our toroid model explains the experimental results not only for binding energy, but also for the radius, magnetic moment and the spin of the nuclei of atoms.

Combined Effect of Water Deficit and Salt Stress on the Structure of Mesophyll Cells in Wheat Seedlings

The purpose of the work was to assess the combined effect of drought and salinity (50, 100, 200 mМ NaCl) on the meso- and ultrastructure of mesophyll cells of wheat seedlings. Stress development was estimated by a decrease in the relative water content (RWC) and CO2-dependent O2 evolution (An) in leaves. The decrease in the RWC and in An occurred rapidly in the absence of salt in the substrate and slowly in the presence of salt, especially at a treatment of 100 mM NaCl. The resumption of watering led to the recovery of the both parameters in all variants except one with 200 mM NaCl. Structural studies showed that a weak drought stress (RWC 60%) without salinity led to the destruction of cell membranes and hyaloplasm, which did not occur in all salt treatments. By contrast, the ultrastructure of nuclei in weak drought without salinity remained unchanged, whereas in all salt treatments chromatin changed substantially. Heterochromatin underwent a strong condensation followed by the fusion into a united mass with the simultaneous loss of electron density. A strong water stress (RWC 40%) in all variants led to cell destruction and the hydrolysis of cell compounds. Under the drought without salinity, vacuoles disappeared, whereas in salt-treated samples they were retained and filled with organelles being at different degrees of degradation. Cell nuclei under strong drought stress lost their rounded shape, nuclear envelopes were destroyed, and at the end only a finely dispersed substance remained. Thus, under the combined action of drought and salt, there is some critical level of salt concentration in substrate above which the effect of NaCl changes to the adverse, which enhances the action of drought. Among structural components of mesophyll cells, the most sensitive parts to NaCl are nuclei and their chromatin.
