Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices Regarding Diabetic Eye Disease among General Population in Medina City, Saudi Arabia

Background: Diabetic eye disease is known as a group of eye problems that diabetic patients may develop as a complication of diabetes and can lead to blindness. they may include Diabetic retinopathy (DR), Cataracts, and Glaucoma. Objectives: this study aims to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) around diabetic eye disease in the general population including patients with DM and non-diabetic people in Medina City, Saudi Arabia. Methods: this is a cross-sectional study involving 385 participants via a self-administered online Questionnaire started in January 2023 in Medina, Saudi Arabia. Results: In total, 339 participants with ages ranged from 18 to more than 60 years with a mean age of 26.8 ± 12.6 years old completed the questionnaire. the majority were females (74.6%), singles (67.8%), and had a university level of education (54.6%). Most of the study participants were found to have poor knowledge levels (67%) in comparison to 33% who had an overall good knowledge of diabetic eye diseases. Knowledge level was found to be higher among old-aged participants and those with a family history of DM (P = 0.001, P = 0.049) respectively. Regarding participants’ attitudes and practices, the study showed good attitudes toward eye care practice for diabetics with half of the participants (50%) reporting self-awareness as a reason that made them undergo the first eye screening. Conclusion: Participants in the present study have poor knowledge and awareness level of diabetic eye disease. Furthermore, positive attitudes and perceptions have been revealed by the participants toward the practice of providing eye care for diabetics. .

Owing to the rapid increase in the interchange of text information through internet networks,the reliability and security of digital content are becoming a major research *** detection,Content authentication,and integrity verification of digital content interchanged through the Internet were utilized to solve a major concern in information and communication *** authors’difficulties were tampering detection,authentication,and integrity verification of the digital *** study develops an Automated Data Mining based Digital text Document Watermarking for tampering Attack Detection(ADMDtW-tAD)via the *** DM concept is exploited in the presented ADMDtW-tAD technique to identify the document’s appropriate characteristics to embed larger watermark *** presented secure watermarking scheme intends to transmit digital text documents over the Internet *** the watermark is embedded with no damage to the original document,it is then shared with the *** watermark extraction process is performed to get the original document *** experimental validation of the ADMDtW-tAD technique is carried out under varying levels of attack volumes,and the outcomes were inspected in terms of different *** simulation values indicated that the ADMDtW-tAD technique improved performance over other models.

General anesthesia and Obstetric Anesthesia is the gold standard for a cesarean section but there are some cases where general anesthesia is unavoidable. the use of general anesthesia for cesarean delivery has decreased in recent years due to the widespread use of neuraxial techniques. the choice of anesthesia techniques for cesarean delivery depends on several factors, including the patient’s psychology and the attending physician’s experience. It is chosen because of its safety profile and its benefits to the mother and fetus. It may be indicated due to emergency, maternal refusal of regional techniques, or regional contraindications. Major complications include failed intubation, gastric content aspiration, and increased bleeding risk. this study aims to evaluate the impact of a newly launched team on obstetric anesthesia practice.

Bake-Hardening Response of High Martensite Dual-Phase Steel with Different Morphologies and Volume Fractions

Bake-hardening behaviour of carbon steel with different martensite morphologies and volume fraction was investigated. the specimens with fibrous and bulky martensite were prestrained in tension by 4%. After this, they were unloaded and bake hardened at 180 ℃ for 10-160 min. It was found that dual-phase steel samples which were bake hardened at 180 ℃ for 20 rain showed an increase in the yield stress （YS） and ultimate tensile stress （UtS） but a decrease in ductility. Further increase in the bake-hardening time of 80 or 160 min has reduced the YS and UtS, but increased the ductility. △σ （increase in stress due to bake hardening）, YS and UtS values are higher for the microstructure containing fibrous martensite compared to the microstructure-containing bulky martensite. It was also observed that at a given baking temperature Aa, YS and UtS increased by volume of martensite.

Aim: to investigate depression, anxiety, PtSD, and insomnia levels among Sudanese citizens after a year has passed since the start of Armed Forces conflict in Sudan. Methods: An online survey was distributed. It is composed of five parts, covering the following areas: 1) sociodemographic data;2) depression assessment;3) generalized anxiety disorder assessment;4) post-traumatic stress disorder assessment;and 5) insomnia assessment. Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 27 was used for data analysis;frequency and percentage were used to describe the qualitative variables. Spearman’s correlation analysis and Chi-square test were used for correlation and association analysis;a P-value equal to or less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: the study included 283 participants, primarily female (76.0%), with a mean age of 35.26 ± 6.96 years. the majority of participants were married (50.5%) and had a university level of education (50.2%). At the start of the war, 70.3% of participants were inside the war zones, and at the time of data collection, 73.5% were outside Sudan. the length of stay in the war zone ranged from 1 to 300 days, with a mean of 48.59 ± 70.284 days. Additionally, 63.3% of participants stated that they did not receive any form of mental health intervention, and the remaining did not provide an answer. there was a high prevalence of moderate-severe depression (50.5%), moderate anxiety (35.3%), PtSD (56.5%), and sub-threshold insomnia (53.4%) among the participants. Correlation analyses revealed associations between demographic factors such as sex, age, marital status, and education and mental health issues. Notably, female participants showed a higher prevalence of PtSD (53.0%) compared to male participants (67.6%). Conclusions: there is a substantial impact of war-related trauma on mental health, revealing a high prevalence of moderate-severe depression, moderate anxiety, PtSD, and sub-threshold insomnia among the particip

Effect of Lorentz forces on forced-convection nanofluid flow over a stretched surface

Magnetic nanofiuid hydrothermal analysis over a plate is studied that includes consideration of thermal radiation. the Runge-Kutta （rk4） method is utilized to get solution of ODEs which are obtained from similarity solution. In considering the impacts of Brownian motion, we applied Koo-Kleinstreuer-Li cor- relation to simulate the properties of CuO-water. the influence is discussed of important parameters such as the temperature index, magnetic, radiation, and velocity ratio parameters and volume fraction of nanoparticle on hydrothermal behavior. Results illustrate that the coefficient of skin friction enhances with enhancing magnetic parameter while reduces with enhancing velocity ratio parameter. Also the Nusselt number was found to directly depend on the velocity ratio and temperature index parameters but has an inverse dependence on the magnetic and radiation parameters.

this article studies the three-dimensional boundary layer flow of an elastico- viscous fluid over a stretching surface. Velocity of the stretching sheet is assumed to be time-dependent. Effect of mass transfer with higher order chemical reaction is further considered. Computations are made by the homptopy analysis method （HAM）. Con- vergence of the obtained series solutions is explicitly analyzed. Variations of embedding parameters on the velocity and concentration are graphically discussed. Numerical com- putations of surface mass transfer are reported. Comparison of the present results with the numerical solutions is also given.

this article examines the dynamics for stochastic plate equations with linear memory in the case of bounded domain. We investigate the existence of solutions and bounded absorbing set by using the uniform pullback attractors on the tails estimates, and the asymptotic compactness of the random dynamical system is proved by decomposition method, and then we obtain the existence of a random attractor.

Hybrid Isothermal Model for the Ferrohydrodynamic Chemically Reactive Species

A hybrid isothermal model for the homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions in ferrohydrodynamic boundary layer ?ow is established. the characteristics of Newtonian heating and magnetic dipole in a ferro?uid due to a stretchable surface is analyzed for three chemical species. It is presumed that the isothermal cubic autocatalator kinetic gives the homogeneous reaction and the ?rst order kinetics gives the heterogeneous(surface) reaction. the analysis is carried out for equal diffusion coe?cients of all autocatalyst and reactions. Heat ?ux is examined by incorporating Fourier's law of heat conduction. Characteristics of materialized parameters on the magneto-thermomechanical coupling in the ?ow of a chemically reactive species are investigated. Further, the heat transfer rate and friction drag are depicted for the ferrohydrodynamic chemically reactive species. It is evident that the Schmidt number has increasing behavior on the rate of heat transfer in the boundary layer. Comparison with available results for speci?c cases is found an excellent agreement.
