Traffic safety and performance measures such as crash risk and queue lengths or travel times are influenced by several important factors including those related to environment,human,and roadway design,especially at *** research has studied different aspects related to these factors,yet these characteristics are not fully investigated with a focus on age and experience of *** this paper,we investigate this issue by using a two-phase approach via a case study application on a critical T-intersection in the City of Tallahassee,*** first phase includes a scenario-based microsimulation analysis through the use of a microscopic simulation software,namely VISSIM,to illustrate the variations in traffic performance measures with respect to driver compositions of different age groups in the traffic stream.A variety of scenarios is created where the driving characteristics are provided as inputs to these scenarios in terms of decision making and risk *** is also supported by a sensitivity analysis conducted based on the driver composition in the *** second phase includes the analysis of microsimulation outputs via a tool developed by Federal Highway Administration tool,namely the Surrogate Safety Assessment Model(SSAM),in order to determine the traffic conflicts that occur in each *** conflicts are also compared with real-life crash data for validation *** show that(a) the differences in risk perception that affect driving behavior might be significant in influencing traffic safety and performance measures,and(b) the proposed approach is considerably successful in simulating the actual crash conflict points.

The imbalance of bone homeostasis is the root cause of *** current therapeutic approaches mainly focus on either anabolic or catabolic pathways,which often fail to turn the imbalanced bone metabolism *** we reported that a SIRT-1 agonist mediated molecular therapeutic strategy to reverse the imbalance in bone homeostasis by simultaneously regulating osteogenesis and osteoclastogenesis via locally sustained release of SRT2104 from mineral coated acellular matrix *** of SRT2104 on mineral coating(MAM/SRT)harnessing their electrostatic interactions resulted in sustained release of SIRT-1 agonist for over 30 ***/SRT not only enhanced osteogenic differentiation and mineralization,but also attenuated the formation and function of excessive osteoclasts via integrating multiple vital upstream signals(β-catenin,FoxOs,Runx2,NFATc1,etc.)in *** animal model also validated that it accelerated osteoporotic bone healing and improved osseointegration of the surrounding ***,our work proposes a promising strategy to treat osteoporotic bone defects by reversing the imbalance in bone homeostasis using designated small molecule drug delivery systems.

For accuracy and rapidity of audio event detection in the mass-data audio pro- cessing tasks, a generic method of rapidly recognizing audio event based on 2D-Haar acoustic super feature vector and AdaBoost is proposed. Firstly, it combines certain number of con- tinuous audio frames to be an ＂acoustic feature image＂, secondly, uses *** or fast Random AdaBoost feature selection algorithm to select high representative 2D-Haar pattern combinations to construct super feature vectors; thirdly, analyzes the commonality and differ- ences between subcategories, then extracts common features and reduces different features to obtain a generic audio event template, which can support the accurate identification of multi- ple sub-classes and detect and locate the specific audio event from the audio stream accurately. Experimental results show that the use of 2D-Haar acoustic feature super vector can make recog- nition accuracy 5% higher than ones that MFCC, PLP, LPCC and other traditional acoustic features yielded, and can make tile training processing 7 20 times faster and the recognition processing 5-10 times faster, it can even achieve an average precision of 93.38%, an average recall of 95.03% under the optimal parameter configuration found by grid method. Above all, it can provide an accurate and fast mass-data processing method for audio event detection.

In the last few decades,the treatment strategy for locally advanced resectable gastric cancer(GC)has shifted to a multimodal approach,which potentially decreases recurrence risk and improves survival *** therapy leads to downstaging,increased curative resection rates,and prolonged disease-free and overall survival,by preventing micrometastases in patients with resectable *** of neoadjuvant therapy provides information about tumor biology and in vivo sensitivity.A consensus regarding the therapeutic approach for non-metastatic GC does not exist,and many clinical trials aim to clarify this *** in precision medicine and the role of immunotherapy have been the focus of research in GC ***,the current status and possible future developments of perioperative therapy for locally advanced resectable GC are reviewed,based on the most recent randomized clinical trials.

This study aimed to determine the level of use of fermented kapok seed to substitute 100% soybean meal in native laying hen rations without adverse effect on laying hen production. Two hundred and forty laying hens aged 20 weeks were used in this experiment. The completely randomized design was assigned with six treatments to replace 0, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% of soybean meal with fermented kapok seed with four replications. The variables measured were feed intake, feed conversion and income over feed cost （gross profit）, as well as variables related to egg production （hen day production and egg weight）, thickness of eggshell and yolk color index for quality of eggs. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance （ANOVA）, and if the result shows a marked influence, it will be followed by Duncans test （DMRT）. The results showed that the performance of laying hen had not been affected significantly by substituting soybean meal with fermented kapok seed. Feed intake, feed conversion and egg production is not influenced either. In summary, the use of fermented kapok seed to substitute soybean meal in the ration can be up to 100% in the diet of laying chicken.
