In the present study, aqueous extract of bark of Moringa oleifera administered orally, was eva- luated for its antiurolithiatic potential in albino rats of Wistar strains. The stones were produced in this study by zinc disc foreign body insertion in the bladder supplemented with 1% ethylene glycol in drinking water. The reduction in weight of the stones was used as criteria for assessing the preventive or curative antiurolithiatic effect of the bark of this plant. Two doses of extract for prophylactic and curative groups were used. In both groups the oral administration of the extract of bark of Moringa oleifera has resulted in significant reduction in the weight of bladder stones compared to the control group.

Aqueous extract of Phyllanthus niruri (200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg. p.o. single dose) was tested for its diuretic activity and compared with the standard drug hydrochlorothiazide (10 mg/ kg p.o.;single dose). Significant increase in the volume of urine and excretion of sodium, potassium and chloride was recorded when aqueous extract of Phyllanthus niruri was administered to hydrated albino rats.

【目的】利用已开发的矮化性状分子标记(Dw1/Dw2)筛选中国实生和自育无性系苹果砧木,探明各个砧木品种的矮化基因型,为苹果砧木育种工作中亲本选择及矮化分子辅助育种提供帮助。【方法】以不同地区采集的24份中国实生和自育的无性系苹果砧木、147份新疆野苹果(李2-3)×‘M9’和345份山荆子(野1-2)×‘M9’杂交后代单株的叶片DNA为模板,以矮化砧木‘M9’‘M116’和‘MM106’为对照,利用已经开发的Dw1和Dw2矮化标记的SSR引物进行PCR扩增,然后用毛细管电泳检测PCR产物,分析确定各个样品的矮化基因型。【结果】在24份中国苹果砧木中鉴定出8份携带Dw1矮化基因,5份携带Dw2矮化基因,3个自育杂交品种同时携带Dw1和Dw2矮化基因;新疆野苹果(李2-3)×‘M9’组合的147个杂种实生苗中有48株携带Dw1矮化基因,14株同时携带Dw1和Dw2基因,山荆子(野1-2)×‘M9’的345个杂交后代中仅有11个单株携带Dw1基因型,其余单株均不携带任一矮化基因。【结论】试验中检测的八棱海棠(房2-3)、山荆子(野1-2)和平邑甜茶(野2-22)等中国常用实生砧木均不携带Dw1或Dw2基因,仅新疆野苹果(李2-3)中含有Dw2矮化基因;中国自育的杂交砧木品种中,以‘M9’等矮化品种为亲本的后代大多携带Dw1或Dw2;双亲都含有矮化基因的杂交组合后代能获得更多的携带矮化基因的单株。

The application of genomic selection in fruit tree crops is expected to enhance breeding eficiency by increasing prediction accuracy,increasing selection intensity and decreasing generation *** objectives of this study were to assess the accuracy of prediction and selection response in commercial apple breeding programmes for key *** training population comprised 977 individuals derived from 20 pedigreed fllsib *** phenotypic data were available on 10 traits related to productivity and fruit external appearance and genotypic data for 7829 SNPs obtained with an llumina 20K SNP *** these data,a genome-wide prediction model was built and subsequently used to calculate genomic breeding values of five application fllsib *** application families had genotypes at 364 SNPs from a dedicated 512 SNP array,and these genotypic data were extended to the high-density level by *** five families were phenotyped for 1 year and their phenotypes were compared to the predicted breeding *** of genomic prediction across the 10 traits reached a maximum value of 0.5 and had a median value of *** accuracies were strongly affected by the phenotypic distribution and heritability of *** the largest family,significant selection response was observed for traits with high heritability and symmetric phenotypic *** that showed non-significant response often had reduced and skewed phenotypic variation or low *** the five application families the accuracies were uncorrelated to the degree of relatedness to the training *** results underline the potential of genomic prediction to accelerate breeding progress in outbred fruit tree crops that still need to overcome long generation intervals and extensive phenotyping costs.

The timing of fruit maturity is an important trait in sweet cherry production and *** variation for phenology of fruit maturity in sweet cherry appears to be under strong genetic control,but that control might be complicated by phenotypic instability across *** such genotype-by-environment interaction(G×E)is a common phenomenon in crop plants,knowledge about it is lacking for fruit maturity timing and other sweet cherry *** this study,1673 genome-wide SNP markers were used to estimate genomic relationships among 597 weakly pedigree-connected individuals evaluated over two seasons at three locations in Europe and one location in the USA,thus sampling eight‘environments’.The combined dataset enabled a single meta-analysis to investigate the environmental stability of genomic *** disequilibrium among marker loci declined rapidly with physical distance,and ordination of the relationship matrix suggested no strong structure among *** most parsimonious G×E model allowed heterogeneous genetic variance and pairwise covariances among ***-sense genomic heritability was very high(0.60–0.83),as was accuracy of predicted breeding values(>0.62).Average correlation of additive effects among environments was high(0.96)and breeding values were highly correlated across *** indicated that genomic models can be used in cherry to accurately predict date of fruit maturity for untested individuals in new *** G×E for this trait indicated that phenotypes of individuals will be stable across similar *** analyses for other sweet cherry traits,for which multiple years of data are commonly available among breeders and cultivar testers,would be informative for predicting performance of elite selections and cultivars in new environments.

An induced polyploid plant through colchicine treatment offers probably the best scope for improvement in flower size and fruit ***,in the present study,an attempt was made to induce polyploidy in Cape gooseberry using colchicine with the objective of creating more genetic *** colchicine concentrations were used as 0.10%(C1),0.20%(C2)and 0.40%(C3)for the duration 12(H1),24(H2)and 36(H3)hours for each concentration with seedling apex dip method(M1),cotton plug method(M2)and lanolin paste method(M3).The plants treated with 0.10%of colchicine by cotton plug method for 12 h showed the better performance during the years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 in respect of more delay in the flower bud emergence(54 d and 53 d from the date of transplanting),anthesis(19 d and 20 d from the first appearance of bud to full anthesis of flower)and fruit setting(8.00 d and 9.00 d from the date of anthesis),bigger flower size(2.93 cm2 and 3.00 cm2)than the untreated *** lower percentage of pollen viability(40.33%and 40.67%)was noticed in the same treatment in comparison to control(70.33%and 72.33%).The fruit maturity was also extended(59 d and 60 d from the date of fruit set)with bigger sized fruits(length:2.53 cm and 2.57 cm,breadth:2.27 cm and 2.33 cm)as well as more fruit weight(8.70 g and 8.33 g)by the application of colchicine at 0.10%with cotton plug method for 12 *** the basis of results obtained,the application of colchicine at 0.10%for 12 h duration with cotton plug method was found to be the best and effective treatment for induction of polyploidy as well as more flower size and fruit weight in Cape gooseberry.

To investigate the safety and efficacy of chitosan ( Anscare,Daxon) in reducing vascular ac cess complications compared to a kind of radial compression device( TR-BAND,Terumo) . Method: We studied 128 patients who had undergone transradial angiography in our center from December 2009 to April 2010. Among them,64 patients were randomly treated with radial compression device ( TR-BAND,Terumo) when the procedure was over ( CD group) . The other 64 patients were dealt with chitosan ( CS group) . The compression time,the major and minor access site bleeding complications and the errhysis were observed. Results: There were no statistical differences in the baseline clinical characteristics of the patients between two groups. The compression time in CS group was significantly shorter than that of CD group ( P < 0. 001) . There were 12 patients suffering from minor access site bleeding while only 3 patients experienced these minor complications in CS group( 19% vs 4% ,P < 0. 05) . At the same time 20 patients had er- rhysis in CD group and 4 patients in CS group ( 31% vs 6% ,P < 0. 001) . Conclusion: Chitosan,compared to radial compression device ( TR-BAND,Terumo) ,can not only shorten the compression time,but also significantly reduce the rate of minor access site bleeding and puncture-site errhyis.

In 2010,a major scientific milestone was achieved for tree fruit crops:publication of the first draft whole genome sequence(WGS)for apple(Malus domestica).This WGS,v1.0,was valuable as the initial reference for sequence information,fine mapping,gene discovery,variant discovery,and tool development.A new,high quality apple WGS,GDDH13 v1.1,was released in 2017 and now serves as the reference genome for *** the past decade,these apple WGSs have had an enormous impact on our understanding of apple biological functioning,trait physiology and inheritance,leading to practical applications for improving this highly valued *** gene identities for phenotypes of fundamental and practical interest can today be discovered much more ***-wide polymorphisms at high genetic resolution are screened efficiently over hundreds to thousands of individuals with new insights into genetic relationships and ***-density genetic maps are constructed efficiently and quantitative trait loci for valuable traits are readily associated with positional candidate genes and/or converted into diagnostic tests for *** understand the species,geographical,and genomic origins of domesticated apple more precisely,as well as its relationship to wild *** WGS has turbo-charged application of these classical research steps to crop improvement and drives innovative methods to achieve more durable,environmentally sound,productive,and consumer-desirable apple *** review includes examples of basic and practical breakthroughs and challenges in using the apple *** for“what’s next”focus on necessary upgrades to the genome sequence data pool,as well as for use of the data,to reach new frontiers in genomics-based scientific understanding of apple.
