With the rapid progress in computer science,including artificial intelligence,big data and cloud computing,full-space spot generation can be pivotal to many practical applications,such as facial recognition,motion detection,augmented reality,*** opportunities may be achieved by using diffractive optical elements(DOEs)or light detection and ranging(LIDAR).However,DOEs suffer from intrinsic limitations,such as demanding depth-controlled fabrication techniques,large thicknesses(more than the wavelength),Lambertian operation only in half space,*** nevertheless relies on complex and bulky scanning systems,which hinders the miniaturization of the spot ***,inspired by a Lambertian scatterer,we report a Hermitian-conjugate metasurface scrambling the incident light to a cloud of random points in full space with compressed information density,functioning in both transmission and reflection *** 4044 random spots are experimentally observed in the entire space,covering angles at nearly 90°.Our scrambling metasurface is made of amorphous silicon with a uniform subwavelength height,a nearly continuous phase coverage,a lightweight,flexible design,and low-heat ***,it may be mass produced by and integrated into existing semiconductor foundry *** work opens important directions for emerging 3D recognition sensors,such as motion sensing,facial recognition,and other applications.

基于隔直装置全局优化投切的直流偏磁治理方法

In this work, we performed numerical simulations to investigate the effectiveness of a nonlinear energy sink in the control of transonic flutter. To simulate the transonic flow around the airfoil, we chose the solver rho Central Foam of Open Foam because of the free on-line open source and convenience to be revised. We briefly discussed the governing equations and assumptions used in this solver. To validate the solver rho Central Foam, we use two classical transonic experimental cases: steady RAE-2822 and oscillating NACA64A010. In the oscillatory case, we discuss the merits of dynamic zone of mesh used in the sixDoFRigid BodyMotion and revised them for our simulation boundary conditions. In both cases, we noted that the solver rho Central Foam was very effective and accurate to simulate transonic flow around the airfoil. Then, we proposed the model for typical section airfoil with nonlinear energy sink as shown in Figure 1. We chose the classical transonic-dip case of NACA64A010 and found that the NES to be a very effective mean to suppress the transonic flutter of the airfoil. We also quantified the effects of the NES damping and stiffness coefficients on the wing’s response. Furthermore, we examined the effects of the initial conditions.

由于缺乏对直流电流全局分布的考虑,传统隔直装置投切方法容易造成区域内其他变压器出现中性点直流电流被动超标。为了有效地指导偏磁治理工作,提出一种基于隔直装置全局优化投切的偏磁治理方法。首先根据直流电位衰减规律确定交流系统建模范围,其次结合交流系统等效电阻网络、变电站与接地极地理位置分布情况,采用场–路耦合分析思想建立全局隔直装置优化投切数学模型,最后以全局中性点直流电流最大值最小为目标进行寻优,得到最优投切方案。通过宜昌地区电网实际参数验证所提方法(基于穷举法寻优)隔直效果优于传统方法,同时为了保证在交流系统规模扩大后寻优的效率,采用多种智能方法对优化问题进行求解,验证了智能算法同样可以实现趋近于穷举法的隔直效果。

This paper addresses the analysis, design, and application of observer-based nonlinear controls by combining feedback linearization (FBL) and backstepping (BS) techniques with Luenberger observers. Complete development of observer-based controls is presented for a bioprocess. Controllers using input-output feedback linearization and backstepping techniques are designed first, assuming that all states are available for feedback. Next, the construction of observer in the transformed domain is presented based on input-output feedback linearization. This approach is then extended to observer design based on backstepping approach using the error equation resulted from the backstepping design procedure. Simulation results demonstrating the effectiveness of the techniques developed are presented and compared.

Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a complex heart disease affecting the heart musculature and vasculature, involving one or several underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. Identifying potential biomarkers for dilated cardiomyopathy is a challenge owing to various aetiologies involved. Studying the biomarkers involved in DCM will ultimately give a better insight about which pathophysiological pathways are involved in the onset of the disease. Owing to its multifactorial aetiologies, response to treatment is usually poor. If we can find the exact underlying causes, a better treatment approach could be implemented. One way to obtain better insight of DCM is to study the biomarkers released. Through biomarkers, we can know which underlying mechanisms are involved. Biomarkers can provide us with clinical information such as diagnostic, prognostic, risk stratification as well as response to treatment. Underlying mechanisms such as inflammation, stress/strain, myocyte injury, matrix remodelling, oxidative stress, neurohormones involvement, among others, can contribute to the onset of DCM. Different mechanisms will yield different biomarkers. So it would be wise to classify those biomarkers involving in DCM based on their respective pathogenesis. Moreover, most importantly is to be able to make use of the information that biomarker pertains. However, specificity of those biomarkers poses a problem. One way of making these biomarkers clinically useful is to make use of a biomarker modelling score system.

Sperm-specific phospholipase C zeta(PLCζ)initiates intracellular calcium(Ca2+)transients which drive a series of concurrent events collectively termed oocyte *** investigations have linked abrogation and absence/reduction of PLCζwith forms of male infertility in humans where oocyte activation ***,very few studies have examined potential relationships between PLCζand advancing male age,both of which are increasingly considered to be major effectors of male *** efforts in humans may be hindered by inherent PLCζvariability within the human population,alongside a lack of sufficient controllable ***,utilizing immunoblotting,immunofluorescence,and quantitative reverse transcription PCR(qRT-PCR)we examined for the first time PLCζprotein levels and localization patterns in sperm,and PLCζmRNA levels within testes,from mice at 8 weeks,12 weeks,24 weeks,and 36 weeks of age,from two separate strains of mice,C57BL/6(B6;inbred)and CD1(outbred).Collectively,advancing male age generally diminished levels and variability of PLCζprotein and mRNA in sperm and testes,respectively,when both strains were ***,advancing male age altered the predominant pattern of PLCζlocalization in mouse sperm,with younger mice exhibiting predominantly post-acrosomal,and older mice exhibiting both post-acrosomal and acrosomal populations of PLCζ.However,the specific pattern of such decline in levels of protein and mRNA was ***,our results demonstrate a negative relationship between advancing male age and PLCζlevels and localization patterns,indicating that aging male mice from different strains may serve as useful models to investigate PLCζin cases of male infertility and subfertility in humans.

As one of the most common forms of skin injuries,skin burns are often accompanied by edema pain,suppuration of infection,slow tissue regeneration,and severe scar formation,which significantly delay wound healing as well as affect the quality of *** prepared multifunctional electrospun poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide)/gelatin(P/G)-based dressings to synergistically harness the therapeutic benefits of peppermint essential oil(T),burn ointment(B),and Oregano essential oil(O)(P/G@TBO)for skin regeneration in punch and burn injury *** P/G@TBO can afford the sustained release of bioactive cues for up to 72 h as well as remarkably promote cell migration(ca.P/G@TBO,89%*** group,51%)at 24 *** P/G@TBO membranes also showed significant angiogenic effect as well as antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties than that of the control group in ***,P/G@TBO dressings enabled fast wound healing(ca.P/G@TBO,100%wound closure *** group,95%)in a full-thickness excisional defect model up to 14 days in *** evaluation of membranes in different animal models,including tail wagging model,facial itch model,and hot burn injury model showed significant pain relieve effect as well as itching and swelling relief functions during earlier stages of wound *** were next transplanted into a scalded wound model in rats and an ear punch wound model in rabbits,which manifested antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and promoted re-epithelialization to achieve scarless wound healing percentage wound closure at day 28:P/G@TBO,96%*** group 66%.Taken together our approach of simultaneously harnessing T,B,and O to enable multifunctionality to fibrous dressings may hold great promise for burn wound healing applications and other related disciplines.

Imaging in ophthalmology is playing an increasingly important role not only in screening, but also in monitoring and assessing response to treatment in an objective manner. Technical advances in various modes of imaging acquisition provide more detailed images. These can be combined and reviewed on one screen in the place of acquisition or sent for a remote assessment. Moreover, the machines are more user-friendly, which reduces the need for highly skilled technicians. In this article the authors describe currently available and experimental ophthalmic imaging modalities and their impact on clinical practice.

The objective of current study was to investigate the influence of brand related attributes on customer loyalty and repurchase intention in agricultural product marketing in Pakistan. Results of current study would help the management of branded agricultural products, in Pakistan specifically and in developing countries generally, to formulate the best strategies to enhance customer loyalty in order to induce repurchase intention of them. Future research could be conducted in the same field by adopting larger sample size and this research can be replicated with specific product category.
