The Cold Tongue in the South China Sea during Boreal Winter and Its Interaction with the Atmosphere

A distinct cold tongue has recently been noticed in the South China Sea during the winter monsoon, with the cold tongue temperature minimum occurring in the January or February. This cold tongue shows significant links with the Maritime Continent＇s rainfall during the winter period. The cold tongue and its interaction with the Maritime Continent＇s weather were studied using Reynolds SST data, wind fields from the NCEP-NCAR reanalysis dataset and the quikSCAT dataset. In addition, rainfall from the GOES Precipitation Index （GPI） for the periods 2000 to 2008 was also used. The propagation of the cold tongue towards the south is explained using wind dynamics and the western boundary current. During the period of strong cold tongue, the surface wind is strong and the western boundary current advects the cold tongue to the south. During the period of strong winds the zonal gradient of SST is high [0.5 °C （25 km）-1 ]. The cold tongue plays an important role in regulating the climate over the Maritime Continent. It creates a zonal/meridional SST gradient and this gradient ultimately leads in the formation of convection. Hence, two maximum precipitation zones are found in the Maritime Continent, with a zone of relatively lower precipitation between, which coincides with the cold tongue＇s regions. It was found that the precipitation zones have strong links with the intensity of the cold tongue. During stronger cold tongue periods the precipitation on either side of the cold tongue is considerably greater than during weaker cold tongue periods. The features of convection on the eastern and western sides of the cold tongue behave differently. On the eastern side convection is preceded by one day with SST gradient, while on the western side it is four days.

Image captioning is an emerging field in machine *** refers to the ability to automatically generate a syntactically and semantically meaningful sentence that describes the content of an *** captioning requires a complex machine learning process as it involves two sub models:a vision sub-model for extracting object features and a language sub-model that use the extracted features to generate meaningful ***-based vision transformers models have a great impact in vision field *** this paper,we studied the effect of using the vision transformers on the image captioning process by evaluating the use of four different vision transformer models for the vision sub-models of the image captioning The first vision transformers used is DINO(self-distillation with no labels).The second is PVT(Pyramid Vision Transformer)which is a vision transformer that is not using convolutional *** third is XCIT(cross-Covariance Image Transformer)which changes the operation in self-attention by focusing on feature dimension instead of token *** last one is SWIN(Shifted windows),it is a vision transformer which,unlike the other transformers,uses shifted-window in splitting the *** a deeper evaluation,the four mentioned vision transformers have been tested with their different versions and different configuration,we evaluate the use of DINO model with five different backbones,PVT with two versions:PVT_v1and PVT_v2,one model of XCIT,SWIN *** results show the high effectiveness of using SWIN-transformer within the proposed image captioning model with regard to the other models.

The Synthesis of Diaminoanthraquinone Coloured Cross Linked Epoxy Resins and Their Application in Paint and Selected Polymers

Novel polymeric pigments were synthesized in xylene by cross linked epoxy resin with 1,4 and 1,5-diaminoanthraquinones, by varying weight fractions from 5% to 20% of the diaminoanthraquinone derivatives. FTIR, UV and solubility tests were carried out. The pigments were then used to colour PLA, PMMA, PE and also in emulsion paints using polyvinyl alcohol as binder. Their light fastness, surface drying time and surface hardening time were assessed. It was found that λmax of the 1,4-diaminoanthraquinone shifted towards longer wavelength after the cross linkage, in contrast to the 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone which suffered a blue shift. However in all the cases, the λmax was not affected by the weight fractions of the anthraquinones, but the absorptivity coefficients was significantly increased as the weight fractions of the anthraquinones increased. The light fastness properties of the coloured plastics varied from 4 to 7, indicating a trend of increase with the weight fractions of the anthraquinones. Similar observations were seen with the emulsion paints produced. In all the cases, the 1,4-diaminoanthraqunione produced better result.

In the original Moth-Flame Optimization(MFO),the search behavior of the moth depends on the corresponding flame and the interaction between the moth and its corresponding flame,so it will get stuck in the local optimum easily when facing the multi-dimensional and high-dimensional optimization ***,in this work,a generalized oppositional MFO with crossover strategy,named GCMFO,is presented to overcome the mentioned *** the proposed GCMFO,GOBL is employed to increase the population diversity and expand the search range in the initialization and iteration jump phase based on the jump rate;crisscross search(CC)is adopted to promote the exploitation and/or exploration ability of *** proposed algorithm’s performance is estimated by organizing a series of experiments;firstly,the CEC2017 benchmark set is adopted to evaluate the performance of GCMFO in tackling high-dimensional and multimodal ***,GCMFO is applied to handle multilevel thresholding image segmentation *** last,GCMFO is integrated into kernel extreme learning machine classifier to deal with three medical diagnosis cases,including the appendicitis diagnosis,overweight statuses diagnosis,and thyroid cancer *** results and discussions show that the proposed approach outperforms the original MFO and other state-of-the-art algorithms on both convergence speed and *** also indicates that the presented GCMFO has a promising potential for application.

火在人类社会发展中占据着重要的地位,它为人类提供了能量,为人类的生存提供了必要的条件如：烹饪、钢铁制造以及建筑行业都需要使用火的高温。与此同时,火也是非常危险的,如果使用不当,它可能会引起火灾,造成财产和生命的损失。因此,对火灾的预警和火势蔓延规律进行研究有着十分重要的意义。随着计算机技术的不断发展,计算机仿真已经成为一种重要的研究手段。对火灾现象的模拟和仿真技术开始受到人们的巨大关注。对火灾的模拟和仿真能有效的帮助消防队员在面对火灾中可能遇到的各种情况时能够冷静正确的应对。对火灾的模拟和仿真有助于帮助普通人掌握火灾发生时火势的蔓延规律,在遇到危险时提高逃生几率。在火灾发生以后,往往需要对火灾发生的原因进行分析,找到相应的引发火灾的责任负责人,对火灾的模拟和仿真也就成为还原现场的主要方式。另外一个重要的应用就是电影中与火焰有关的特效特技,常常也需要对火焰的产生和持续的过程进行模拟和仿真。现有的火势模拟方法是通过计算流体力学(CFD)来模拟火势,计算流体力学是指在某一时刻使用大量的粒子对流体进行模拟计算,计算过程中会用到流体的描述方程以及相关的物理属性进行仿真计算。因此,为了得到更高精度的火势模拟结果,往往需要进行大量的复杂计算,离散步骤的计算是其中最为复杂的部分,同时在计算的过程中还需要对这些粒子进行渲染,因此整个模拟过程具有相当高的时间复杂度。本论文提出基于扩散置限凝聚模型(DLA)的火势模拟原型工具,使用扩散置限凝聚模型来降低计算复杂性和减少资源消耗,我们火焰扩散模拟工具中使用DLA的原因：DLA能通过简单的步骤来实现非常复杂的模拟,并且在计算时一个时刻只需要生成一个粒子,而不像流体计算力学(CFD)那样每一时刻都需要使用大量的粒子来进行计算。这样做不仅降低了粒子的数量,同时也降低了渲染粒子的计算成本,基于扩散限制凝聚的火势模拟系统的实现如下：本文开发的工具使用DLA模型来模拟任意一点产生的火焰以及对应火势的传播,利用扩散限制凝聚模型中的传播预测去模拟火势行为,而首先在场景中的某一固定点放置一个DLA粒子,来作为火焰产生点,也称为DLA起始点。而下一步产生的DLA粒子将远离种子点并做随机运动。本文开发的工具建立了随机漫游模型来模拟火焰的随机运动,并且在一个时间段中,随着火势的蔓延一些新的粒子也被触发形成新的起火点。而在场景中的粒子将会做随机运动,直到它与另一个粒子发生碰撞的时候才停止运动,并与之结合并且触发其他粒子的运动。这一过程将一直持续直DLA结构中创建的所有粒子都被触发完毕,在所有粒子触发完毕的同时就可以获得火势通道。这个过程需要随机计算出每一时刻新粒子被触发的位置。为达到这一目的,我们修改了梅尔·西格尔算法,用它来在以点P(x,y,z)为中心,R为半径的球体中,随机的触发新粒子,我们的程序最后需要展示一个俯瞰图,因此需要将产生的粒子的位置投影到XY平面上去,形成以Rxy为半径的投影区域,以Rxy为参考半径计算新的x和z的值,并以改点作为触发新粒子的地点。由于点P是在XZ平面,只需要将y简单的置零。正在触发的DLA粒子如果远离起始点则有可能需要更长的时间甚至一直进行随机运动,如果使用这样的方法将会严重降低计算效率。为了解决这一问题,我们通过限制DLA粒子触发新粒子的最大触发次数来提升DLA的计算效率;当DLA粒子达到其触发新粒子次数的上限时,DLA粒子将会消亡,并触发新DLA粒子融合为DLA簇。每次产生新的粒子时,需要修改球体半径,确保新产生的粒子在球体半径范围内被触发,通过这种方法,DLA粒子将不会远离正在扩充的DLA簇,从而有效的降低DLA粒子总数,通过扩散置限凝聚粒子附着自身并自发的扩充为扩散置限凝聚簇,最终形成扩散置限凝聚分支。根据随机游走的性质,当一个自由粒子处在初始位置时,需要将分支进行移动,继而按照设计的方法形成每个子分支,与此同时还需考虑一下问题,例如：由于分支的形成直接影响火势的增长速率,所以在计算火势增长期间需要及时的得到每个分支,确保为每个新触发的粒子分配创建号,其中创建号指的是已形成的扩散置限凝聚分支;扩散置限凝聚粒子通过使用创建号来识别自身,而当前已触发的扩散置限凝聚粒子依附于自身并形成一个分支。为了通过扩散置限凝聚来模拟火势,生成模拟场景,模拟火势需要计算产生包括所有影响火势传播要素和其他物体要素,其他物体包括燃料,可燃物以及障碍物都将产生并放置在场景中。为了实施并展示这个3D场景,我们通过以下步骤来即时的生成一个3D场景,首先创建一个3D网格,然后将2D图像最为纹理来构造一个3D场景,由于在自然场景中斜坡对火势的蔓延是具有影响力的,所以在生成3D场景斜坡也是有必要创建的;为了创建斜坡,本文应用一个函数来随机选择一点,并以其为中心产生半径为R的圆,然后将圆内

Amorphous aluminophosphate(AlP) and metal-aluminophosphates(MAlPs, where M = 2.5 mol%Cu, Zn, Cr, Fe, Ce, or Zr) were prepared by coprecipitation method. Their surface properties and catalytic activity for the synthesis of jasminaldehyde through the aldol condensation of nheptanal and benzaldehyde were investigated. The nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms showed that the microporosity exhibited by the aluminophosphate was changed to a mesoporous and macroporous structure which depended on the metal incorporated, with a concomitant change in the surface area. Temperature-programmed desorption of NHand COrevealed that the materials possessed both acidic and basic sites. The acidic strength of the material was either increased or decreased depending on the nature of the metal. The basicity was increased compared to AlP. All the materials were X-ray amorphous and powder X-ray diffraction studies indicated the absence of metal oxide phases. The Fourier transform infrared analysis confirmed the presence of phosphate groups and also the absence of any M-O moieties in the materials. The selected organic reaction occurred only in the presence of the AlP and MAlPs. The selectivity for the jasminaldehyde product was up to 75% with a yield of 65%. The best conversion of nheptanal with a high selectivity to jasminaldehyde was obtained with FeAlP as the catalyst, and this material was characterized to have less weak acid sites and more basic sites.

Prevalence of occult HBV infection in haemodialysis patients with chronic HCV

AIM： To study the prevalence and clinical effects of occult HBV infection in haemodialysis patients with chronic ***： Fifty chronic hemodialysis patients with negative HbsAg, and positive anti-HCV were included in the study. These patients were divided into two groups： HCV-RNA positive and HCV-RNA negative, based on the results of HCV-RNA PCR. HBV-DNA was studied using the PCR method in both ***： None of the 22 HCV-RNA positive patients and 28 HCV-RNA negative patients revealed HBV-DNA in serum by PCR method. The average age was 47.2±17.0 in the HCV-RNA positive group and 39.6±15.6 in the HCV-RNA negative ***： The prevalence of occult HBV infection is not high in haemodialysis patients with chronic HCV in our region. This result of our study has to be evaluated in consideration of the interaction between HBsAg positivity （8%-10%） and frequency of HBV mutants in our region.
