Imbalanced data classification is the task of classifying datasets where there is a significant disparity in the number of samples between different *** task is prevalent in practical scenarios such as industrial fault diagnosis,network intrusion detection,cancer detection,*** imbalanced classification tasks,the focus is typically on achieving high recognition accuracy for the minority ***,due to the challenges presented by imbalanced multi-class datasets,such as the scarcity of samples in minority classes and complex inter-class relationships with overlapping boundaries,existing methods often do not perform well in multi-class imbalanced data classification tasks,particularly in terms of recognizing minority classes with high ***,this paper proposes a multi-class imbalanced data classification method called CSDSResNet,which is based on a cost-sensitive dualstream residual ***,to address the issue of limited samples in the minority class within imbalanced datasets,a dual-stream residual network backbone structure is designed to enhance the model’s feature extraction ***,considering the complexities arising fromimbalanced inter-class sample quantities and imbalanced inter-class overlapping boundaries in multi-class imbalanced datasets,a unique cost-sensitive loss function is *** loss function places more emphasis on the minority class and the challenging classes with high interclass similarity,thereby improving the model’s classification ***,the effectiveness and generalization of the proposed method,CSDSResNet,are evaluated on two datasets:‘DryBeans’and‘Electric Motor Defects’.The experimental results demonstrate that CSDSResNet achieves the best performance on imbalanced datasets,with macro_f1-score values improving by 2.9%and 1.9%on the two datasets compared to current state-of-the-art classification methods,***,it achieves the highest precision in single-class r

The relativistic binary-encounter-Bethe model with Wannier-type threshold law is employed to obtain the inner-shell ionization cross sections of multi-electron atoms(Ni,Cu,Y,Ag,Au,Yb,Ta,and Pb)for positron impact energies from the thresholds up to 105ke *** is good agreement between the present calculations and the experimental *** constant in the acceleration term derived from the Wannier law is determined to be 0.2 and 0.5 for the K-and L-shells,respectively.

flexible interdigitated layered framework with multiple accessible active sites for high-performance CH_(3)I capture

The development of adsorbent materials for effective capture of radioactive iodomethane(CH_(3)I) from the off-gas of used nuclear fuel reprocessing, remains a significant and challenging line of research because currently state-of-art adsorbents still suffer from low binding affinity with CH_(3)I. Here, we proposed a brand-new adsorption topological structure by developing a 2D interdigitated layered framework, named SCU-20, featuring slide-like channel with multiple active sites for CH_(3)I capture. The responsive rotating-adaptive aperture of SCU-20 enables the optimal utilization of all active sites within the pore for highly selective recognition and capture of CH_(3)I. A record-breaking CH_(3)I uptake capacity of 1.84 g/g was achieved under static sorption conditions with saturated CH_(3)I vapor. Both experimental and theoretical findings demonstrated that the exceptional uptake of SCU-20 towards CH_(3)I can be attributed to the confined physical electrostatic adsorption of f sites, coupled with the chemical nitrogen methylation reaction with uncoordinated N atoms of pyrazine. Moreover, dynamic CH_(3)I uptake capacity potentially allows for the capture of CH_(3)I in simulated real-world off gas reprocessing conditions. This study highlights the potential of SCU-20 as a promising candidate for efficient capture of iodine species and contributes to the development of effective solutions for radioactive iodine remediation.

Overexpression of auxin/indole-3-acetic acid gene MdIAA24 enhances Glomerella leaf spot resistance in apple(malus domestica)

Auxin is throughout the entire life process of plants and is involved in the crosstalk with other hormones,yet its role in apple disease resistance remains *** this study,we investigated the function of auxin/indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)gene Md IAA24 overexpression in enhancing apple resistance to Glomerella leaf spot(GLS)caused by Colletotrichum fructicola(Cf).Analysis revealed that,upon Cf infection,35S::Md IAA24 plants exhibited enhanced superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)activity,as well as a greater amount of glutathione(reduced form)and ascorbic acid accumulation,resulting in less H_(2)O_(2)and superoxide anion(O_(2)^(-))in apple ***,35S::Md IAA24 plants produced more protocatechuic acid,proanthocyanidins B1,proanthocyanidins B2 and chlorogenic acid when infected with *** Cf infection,35S::Md IAA24 plants presented lower levels of IAA and jasmonic acid(JA),but higher levels of salicylic acid(SA),along with the expression of related *** overexpression of Md IAA24 was observed to enhance the activity of chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase in Cfinfected *** results indicated the ability of Md IAA24 to regulate the crosstalk between IAA,JA and SA,and to improve reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging and defense-related enzymes *** jointly contributed to GLS resistance in apple.

Identifying the Hydrochemical Characteristics,Genetic Mechanisms and Potential Human Health Risks of fluoride and Nitrate Enriched Groundwater in the Tongzhou District,Beijing,North China

fluoride and nitrate enriched groundwater are potential threats to the safety of the groundwater supply that may cause significant effects on human health and public safety,especially in aggregated population areas and economic *** study focuses on the high f^(−)and NO_(3)^(−)concentration groundwater in Tongzhou District,Beijing,North China.A total of 36 groundwater samples were collected to analyze the hydrochemical characteristics,elucidate genetic mechanisms and evaluate the potential human health *** results of the analysis indicate:firstly,most of the groundwater samples are characterized by Mg-HCO_(3) and Na-HCO_(3) with the pH ranging from 7.19 to 8.28 and TDS with a large variation across the range 471-2337 mg/*** NO_(3)^(−)concentration in 38.89%groundwater samples and the f^(−)concentration in 66.67%groundwater samples exceed the permissible limited ***,f^(−)in groundwater originates predominantly from water-rock interactions and the fluorite dissolution,which is also regulated by cation exchange,competitive adsorption of HCO_(3)−and an alkaline ***,the effect of sewage disposal and agricultural activities have a significant effect on high NO3-concentration,while the high f^(−)concentration is less influenced by anthropogenic *** alkaline environment favors nitrification,thus being conducive to the production of NO_(3)^(−).finally,the health risk assessment is evaluated for different population *** results indicate that high NO_(3)^(−)and f^(−)concentration in groundwater would have the largest threat to children’s *** findings of this study could contribute to the provision of a scientific basis for groundwater supply policy formulation relating to public health in Tongzhou District.

High-yield production of porous carbon spheres derived from enzymatic hydrolysis lignin for zinc ion hybrid capacitors

The widespread implementation of supercapacitors is hindered by the limited energy density and the pricey porous carbon electrode *** cost of porous carbon is a significant factor in the overall cost of supercapacitors,therefore a high carbon yield could effectively mitigate the production cost of porous *** study proposes a method to produce porous carbon spheres through a spray drying technique combined with a carbonization process,utilizing renewable enzymatic hydrolysis lignin as the carbon source and KOH as the activation *** purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the quantity of activation agent and the development of morphology,pore structure,and specific surface area of the obtained porous carbon *** demonstrate that this approach significantly enhances the carbon yield of porous carbon,achieving a yield of 22%in contrast to the conventional carbonization-activation method(9%).The samples acquired through this method were found to contain a substantial amount of mesopores,with an average pore size of 1.59 to 1.85 nm and a mesopore ratio of 25.6%.Additionally,these samples showed high specific surface areas,ranging from 1051 to 1831 m2·g^(−1).Zinc ion hybrid capacitors with lignin-derived porous carbon cathode exhibited a high capacitance of 279 f·g^(−1) at 0.1 A·g^(−1) and an energy density of 99.1 Wh·kg^(−1) when the power density was 80 kW·kg^(−1).This research presents a novel approach for producing porous carbons with high yield through the utilization of a spray drying approach.

This paper introduces a self-sensing anthropomorphic robot hand driven by Twisted String Actuators(TSAs).The use of TSAs provides several advantages such as muscle-like structures,high transmission ratios,large output forces,high efficiency,compactness,inherent compliance,and the ability to transmit power over ***,conventional sensors used in TSA-actuated robotic hands increase stiffness,mass,volume,and complexity,making feedback control *** address this issue,a novel self-sensing approach is proposed using strain-sensing string based on Conductive Polymer Composite(CPC).By measuring the resistance changes in the strain-sensing string,the bending angle of the robot hand's fingers can be estimated,enabling closed-loop control without external *** developed self-sensing anthropomorphic robot hand comprises a 3D-printed structure with five fingers,a palm,five self-sensing TSAs,and a 3D-printed *** studies validate the self-sensing properties of the TSA and the anthropomorphic robot ***,a real-time Virtual Reality(VR)monitoring system is implemented for visualizing and monitoring the robot hand's movements using its self-sensing *** research contributes valuable insights and advancements to the field of intelligent prosthetics and robotic end grippers.

fe-N_(x) sites coupled with core-shell feS@C nanoparticles to boost the oxygen catalysis for rechargeable Zn-air batteries

The development of efficient single-atom catalysts(SACs) for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)remains a formidable challenge,primarily due to the symmetric charge distribution of metal singleatom sites(M-N_(4)).To address such issue,herein,fe-N_(x) sites coupled synergistic catalysts fabrication strategy is presented to break the uniform electronic distribution,thus enhancing the intrinsic catalytic ***,atomically dispersed fe-N_(x) sites supported on N/S-doped mesoporous carbon(NSC)coupled with feS@C core-shell nanoparticles(fAS-NSC@950) is synthesized by a facile hydrothermal reaction and subsequent *** to the presence of an in situ-grown conductive graphitic layer(shell),the feS nanoparticles(core) effectively adjust the electronic structure of single-atom fe sites and facilitate the ORR kinetics via short/long-range coupling ***,fAS-NSC@950displays a more positive half-wave potential(E_(1/2)) of 0.871 V with a significantly boosted ORR kinetics(Tafel slope=52.2 mV dec^(-1)),outpacing the commercial Pt/C(E_(1/2)=0.84 V and Tafel slope=54.6 mV dec^(-1)).As a bifunctional electrocatalyst,it displays a smaller bifunctional activity parameter(ΔE) of 0.673 V,surpassing the Pt/C-RuO_(2) combination(ΔE=0.724 V).Besides,the fAS-NSC@950-based zincair battery(ZAB) displays superior power density,specific capacity,and long-term cycling performance to the Pt/C-Ir/C-based *** work significantly contributes to the field by offering a promising strategy to enhance the catalytic activity of SACs for ORR,with potential implications for energy conversion and storage technologies.
